Location is great, just inside the gate of Sequoia. House reminds me of a late 60’s ski lodge. Kids liked the sliding pole - that is truly unique. The house does need some “loving.” Some basic maintenance/tidy-up inside and outside of the home would be nice. Being quite hot when we were there, the a/c ran continuously. Fans in home were helpful.

The owner was very helpful and responsive. The house is inside the park but is an hour from any of the sites - this was something I should have known but was disappointed to realize after arrival - be sure to consider. Loved having lots of space and a washer/dryer! The house was clean but definitely needs updating - lots of things just seemed repaired on the fly without much thought or time. (ex - I don't think it is comforting to find mouse trap boxes in the bedrooms)
But I really didn’t like that the beds are super hard. The pillows are super bulky and a lot of light comes from the big windows so for me it was very hard to fall asleep and to stay asleep. But overall, it was a good stay .
I stayed with my family and friends and it was a blast. The house is inside the park and great views.
The house is pretty open in terms of layout. So great for spending time with family.

We loved the size of the property and close to the entry. The home did not have any bed larger than a full. This was the only issue bit we made due and enjoyed the home!
We just finished a really peaceful, relaxing week at Sequoia National Park. The house was a good base located just inside the park. The weather being unseasonably hot made the house a little warm in the afternoon thanks to the huge windows, but it was much more comfortable after the sun went down. It’s not a luxury property, but if you want a convenient location with lots of character, this is a great place.
We found these accommodations to be just what we were looking for while staying in Sequoia. The kitchen and living area were modern and spacious with beautiful views. There was plenty of privacy. The host was friendly and easy to contact. Being inside the park was a plus as we stayed for a week and did not have to re-enter each day. It was convenient to a Visitor Center, hiking trails, points of interest, and also shopping in Three Rivers. So happy we found this place for our visit to another national park.
Lots of positives but a few very minor negatives. The house is great! Newer appliances and mostly every amenity that you need was present. Cookware, condiments, utensils… you name it. Plenty of comfortable beds for a big party. Two actual bedrooms, the loft is a giant room that overlooks the living room and has 4 beds. Three bathrooms with showers. The A/C worked decently. A deck that spans around the property that is perfect for stargazing. It really was a nice and clean place. Very easy to find and located inside Seqouia. Located about an hour from the major Sequoia points of interest. Now the few negatives:1. Don’t be fooled by the firepit inside. There’s also no firepit outside. So if you’re expecting s’mores with the family or a nice fire, don’t bother. There’s no auto vent for the pit inside so if you use it I guarantee you will be smoked out of the house! When I asked about it, the owner said “dont use it” would have been nice to know before I brought all my wood.2. The owner said they have high speed internet but don’t use it for games or movies…only to use video for a work conference call. lol it’s 2025 and the internet WiFi was fast. Why not??? 3. The auto door lock was a tad finicky but after a couple tries it worked.Overall… a positive experience. Would stay again.
This charming property in Three Rivers is in the heart of Sequoia National Park. While it is well-lit and inviting, it could benefit from better management, as some details were overlooked. The most serious issue we encountered was the driveway leading to the main street. The road is steep and narrow, making proper maintenance of potholes absolutely essential. Unfortunately, those potholes turned into a nightmare when our van got stuck, leaving us completely immobile and blocking the narrow road entirely. This was an incredibly frightening experience, especially as the sun began to set and darkness loomed. When we reached out to the staff for help, we were met with disappointment. The lady quickly pointed out a disclaimer about the driveway on the site but showed little empathy. While she referred us to a towing company upon request, her hurried and indifferent response added to our frustration. We ended up involving the local police and the towing company, which took several hours and incurred expenses of 300 (cash), along with damage to the rental vehicle. These costs, along with the time and stress involved, could have been avoided with proper road maintenance. The tow driver even mentioned a similar incident that occurred the previous year. If you are traveling in a larger vehicle, such as a van, we strongly advise caution, as you may face similar challenges.
The house was exceptionally nice and the views were extraordinary. It is a little quirky (there's a fire pool) and the driveway was steep. The parks involved a lot of driving but wow. I've been in many if not of the national parks and these are top echelon.
we spent two nights at this lovely house. Everything was fine. Location is great. House is as described very comfortable. We knew we were really in the country when they heard the coyotes calling to each other at night. The drive to the General Sherman Tree area of Sequoia. National Park is beautiful. It’s not many miles — perhaps 20 but the road is very curvy and takes a good hour to get there. it’s another hour to be Kings Canyon. Both drives are well worth it if you have a good driver
Nice home located within the National Park. Great for someone who wants to hike in the park, come back for dinner and cook a meal, and then watch stars at night.
communication with Laurabelle was great, the check in was easy. the locations is perfect and the house is welcoming. we had a wonderful and memrable stay.
House worked well for our 7 adults. The upstairs gets warm but would cool off after we got home from our day exploring the park. House had all the amenities we needed including in the kitchen. The only drawback is you're up with the sun but a decent payoff for the views from the full length windows.

The house was ok. We had plenty of room. The house is is need of renovation and some repairs, many noted by other guests in their reviews. I won't rehash those. I knew the property was near the entrance to the park, but didn't realize it was so far (about an hour on winding roads) up into the mountains to get to the popular parts of the park where the giant trees live. We spent two hours a day commuting to the core of the park. Another thing that impacted our stay was the heat. The house is in a lower, drier, and hotter climate than much of the park. The house has many singled-paned windows with no coverings, allowing a nice view of the foothills, and a lot of heat into the building. We noticed that the hosts have a smart thermostat that was set to override our setpoint at different times of the day. We stay three days and each day we returned to a hot house that required many hours to cool down. The third reason I wouldn't stay here again is that on the day of arrival we received a message from the hosts telling us to not use the WiFi to watch movies or play games. Given that we had no cell phone coverage, we were without alternatives. These kind of rules should be clear and upfront on the website. I travel a lot, but not much in California, so I don't know if this is typical for California, but it is certainly not typical outside of the state. For these reasons I can't justify giving this property more than 3 stars.
We had a great stay at this property. It was quiet, clean, and spacious. Kitchen was well-appointed and we had everything we needed. Would definitely book again.

The house had everything we needed for our visit to Sequoia National Park. The area was nice, quiet and private. There was enough sleeping space for our group but the beds are very uncomfortable. The house definitely needs some work and updating. There was stickers on the sliding glass door, smiley face stickers on all the cabinets, part of the cabinet was broken off, sink in the bar area did not work and the upstairs of the house is unbelievably hot with no way to adjust the thermostat. Also, one of the latches on the sliding glass doors didn’t work. The house is beautifully built and has so much potential. It was nice to be within the gates of the park.
Property was perfectly located and large enough to handle my family of 6. The views were beautiful and the large patio accommodated good stargazing. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t use the clothes dryer because it screeched so loud it was unbearable. The yard was also a mess with grass clippings everywhere, and that everything was great and the location is terrific.
