About this property

A peaceful retreat just a 5 minute drive from the magnificent Blueys beach

A spacious house with plenty of room to enjoy your holiday with more than one family (maximum of 3 families permitted per stay). There are two large indoor lounges as well as an outdoor entertaining area so there is ample space to accommodate groups of guests.

The pool and large garden provide a great space for fun family activities such as cricket, croquet or a simple picnic on the grass.

Wake up to birds and Kangaroos on the lawn in the morning and enjoy the peace throughout the day.

The short drive to the beautiful beaches in the area means you have easy access to beaches yet are able to escape the crowds and enjoy the peace of a large and private property.

Property layout:
The ground level has no stairs and is wheelchair accessible.

The rooms on the main lower level are as follows:
- Large open plan living area consisting of the dining room, lounge and kitchen
- Second lounge with TV and kids toys
- En-suite bedroom with queen bed
- Bedroom with queen bed
- Bedroom with the option of two king singles or a king bed
- Kids room with 2 sets of bunks (sleeps 4)
- Bathroom (shower and bath) plus a separate toilet
- Upstairs ensuite with a queen bed

The outdoor entertaining area has comfortable lounge seating and overlooks the swimming pool.

There is plenty of parking for multiple cars.

Please note the following -
- We only accept bookings from families looking to stay - the venue is not suitable for large groups (maximum of 3 families allowed per stay)
- There is an unfenced dam on the property so children who cannot swim need to be watched closely
- Woolworths Foster delivers to the property
- Tank water is used for parts of the property
- Linen is NOT supplied but we can supply contact details for a linen service. We do supply bath mats and drying cloths / tea towels but NOT linen, duvet & pillow covers, bath towels or hand towels
- This is a rural property and is set up accordingly
- We do not accept bookings for functions or weddings
- My mum lives in a separate flat on the property
- No pets allowed

We had a really wonderful stay! Such a peaceful location with so much space for two families. The pool was lovely and the beach just 5 mins drive away. This was our second time visiting and we would love to come back!

Ultimate bush retreat close to the beach

We had a fantastic stay at Kia's property over 3 nights. It's a fantastic space for a group, well stocked, great amenities, very clean and located near Bluey's and Boomerang Beach. We loved the big fire pit at night and the beautiful grounds during the day. Kia was a great host and very responsive, thanks so much for having us. We will be back soon.

Fantastic house, well appointed, very spacious, set on a beautiful property. Would highly recommend.

Our group of three families with kids all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful with loads of space and everything you needed. Looked better than the photos. Lots of green space to enjoy and the pool was a highlight. Lovely entertaining deck outside. Would highly recommend this property and would love to come back in the future.

Family getaway

We stayed at Charlotte Bay recently with my family - 6 adults & 4 kids under 6. We had a fabulous stay. The property is enormous, the house is perfect for staying together under the one roof yet having enough space to do your own thing. We had amazing weather so made the most of the outdoor space & gorgeous pool & enjoyed exploring the property. Cellito is a short drive away for a dip in the ocean & Bluey’s not much further for takeaway options. Would love to visit again.

Beautiful home

My husband and I stayed with our 4 teenage daughters and we all fell in love with this home. The property is stunning, the home is spacious and the pool and outdoor area is a lovely place to relax. Unfortunately we had lots of rain but we still enjoyed relaxing, playing board games and ping pong, reading, and swimming in the warm pool. The house is only 5 minutes to the beach and 20 minutes to everything you need in Forster. We hope to return next year when the sun is shining!

The host was amazing and communication is top knotch!This place is absolutely AMAZING! This placs is a hidden gem and we couldnt fault it. The house is on a huge plot of land not too far from the main road, but you wouldnt even know that. Its super tranquil and the pond, pool and vast grassy areas are just great for that perfect getaway. The house has great chill or entertainment spaces and even with a larger party, you dont feel like you are on top of each other.Sitting down near the pond or the fire pit, you can have a drink or two The pool is a great size as its big enough for a nice little party and a bit of a cool off or having the kids have a safe splash. Its a short drive to Smiths Lake, Celitos and Blueys Beaches. Not too far into Forster-Tuncurry - making it a great location if you want to explore. We had an amazing time and would come back again and again!

Fantastic family friendly home away from home.

This home has lots to offer families including a tree house, rope swings, pool and fire pit. There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and undercover parking spots with a large kitchen that’s well stocked with basics. 3 separate spaces to relax make this an ideal getaway home.

Secluded luxury

It’s our second visit in the past few years , the house is large and well appointed, great for getting the whole family together under the on roof as was the case this time for the Matriach of the family turning 90 . With 5 bedrooms, a huge kitchen lounge dining area it comfortably handled 15 people for dinner to celebrate the occasion . Kitchen was well stocked with staples plus plenty of glassware cutlery crockery etc. outside bbq area pool and even a dam that local wildlife come visit. Close to all that the area has to offer. We will be back 😊

Amazing House!

We had 3 families stay here and we all had such a great weekend. The house is huge and has everything you need, the property is beautiful. The kids all had a ball on the flying fox and playing basketball. Will definitely be back.

Another amazing summer holiday

Yet again, an amazing week here with two other families. The space is fabulous for lots of kids and adults alike! The pool fabulous, and the dam and flying fox didn’t disappoint. The owner is always so responsive and helpful, and the on-site property manager is great and always there to help. We love this property and can’t wait to come again next year!

Charlotte Bay getaway

What an excellent property for a large group. We stayed 3 nights with our family of 6 adults and 4 kids, we all had a wonderful time with plenty of room for everybody to spread out with the large living areas and well equipped kitchen. The kids were kept entertained by the pool, large grassed area, rope swings near the dam and toasting marshmallows by the camp fire. All this with in 5 minutes to the beaches. Last but not least we appreciated the very helpful hosts and have no problem recommending this property

Lovely place for a family gathering!

The house is huge! You will get all the exercise you need walking from one end to the other a bunch of times. We celebrated my mum's birthday and everybody had a great time. The house is well stocked, super spacious, and the outside area is beautiful. Even on rainy days you'll love it. Paul lives next door and he was great to have around to fix a couple of issues for us and even went out into the bush to get us firewood. Couple of things I'll mention: this will probably get fixed, but the driveway (due to the massive amount of rain) is not in the best shape. Also, it is a rural property, so keep this in mind if you're going with kids that aren't used to it as you will most likely find many spiders in the house (all the ones we found were harmless).

A truly beautiful escape

Wonderful location close to cafes and beaches. Lots to do on the property catering for everyone. From toddlers to adults. Great pool for all Flying fox across the dam Great open outside fire at night. We had a wonderful time. Manager introduced himself and was very helpful.

Awesome house, great location!!

Stayed for 4 nights with family. Heaps of room both inside and out. Great pool area and lawn for the kids. 5 mins drive to great beaches. Visited 2 local clubs for dinners which were great too. Hosts were professional and great to deal with. Would have no problem recommending this property to others A+

Perfect getaway for multiple families

We absolutely enjoyed our long weekend at this property! There was ample room for all the kids and the three families all had their own space. The kids loved the cubby house and the night time fire pit and exploring the garden. Everything was so well laid out and well appointed. The owners were prompt in messaging and so accommodating. All in all, a perfect weekend away!

Rural retreat but still close to everything ...

We had a great weekend at this property, it is a huge house and the 3 bathrooms/4 toilets is terrific for a large group. Beds comfortable, warm doonas and bedroom heating worked a treat. The wood fire heated well considering so much glass in the big windows. Kia and Byron communicated well and very helpful with any questions, even posted an item back to us which we had left behind. PS We used Tony at Custom Bus Charters to take our group into Forster, highly recommend him.
