45 Beachcomber Avenue, Smiths Beach - 2 minute walk to the beach

This fantastic family holiday home is located only a short 2 minute walk to the Surf Beaches, YCW Beach is at the end of the street and the seasonally patrolled Smiths Beach is the next beach along.

The main living is upstairs it is open plan sunny and spacious with large windows looking out to the deck. There is a wall mounted flat screen tv and dvd player, a sofa and three leather recliners, split system heating and cooling, a central dining table and doors that open onto the large deck.

The kitchen is fully self contained with fridge, electric hotplates and oven as well as a convection microwave, there are lots of salad bowls and platters perfect for alfresco dining. The deck has a gas bbq and is a great spot for Summer bbqs.

There are two bedrooms upstairs and the family bathroom, the bathroom is combined with the laundry that includes a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

Downstairs there is a whole separate games room with a sofa, table tennis and other assorted games and beach toys. There is also a small sitting area with tv and kitchenette, the third bedroom with ensuite *Please note there is only an external staircase between the two levels.

The garden is fully fenced and there is ample off street parking. This is a great family holiday home for a family with older teenagers or grandparents that require a second living space.

Great position but don’t be fooled

Location of property is perfect however age of the property and cleanliness were the downfall. You expect accommodation to be free from cobwebs/spiders/and other bug debris upon arrival but this was not so. Lots of maintenance required to be expecting customers to pay good money during peak times. Very simple/old facilities but clearly no effort made to fix hot plates that appear to have not worked for a long time. Kitchen cupboards/handles and tiled backsplash filthy. Would should not have to clean upon entering! Hot water barely enough for five yet advertised to sleep 9!

Nice stay with a few minor annoyances

A nice property but a few maintenance concerns. BBQ stopped working after 2nd day. Tv remote did not work even after we replaced batteries. Fly wire screens broken and fell down each time we open a bedroom window. Curtains in downstairs bedroom need urgent clean.

Nice deck

Basic beach house with everything you need - comfy beds and loved the sea Breeze on the deck. Only 5 min walk to beach. A larger fridge would be useful though. Great having our dog with us too
