The kitchen and lounge area opens up to a fabulous covered outdoor entertaining area with views around the city and down the Tamar Valley. The deck is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a coffee, glass of wine or have a bbq. The yard is also a great place for children to play. The house is situated on a quiet street with no street traffic and is only a short stroll to the city centre. A BBQ is provided on the private outdoor deck area. Sleeps 5 1 x Queen Bed 1 x Queen Bed 1 x Single Bed Can provide another mattress if needed also.

218 St John street is accessed via French Street. Access to the car port can be steep and I would suggest to back a car into the car port once in there the house is easily accessible by a level path way to the house or via the garage sliding door. There are no steep stairs just a little step leading off the garage or the access from the street is a flat path to the house. There is a gorgeous new kitchen and dining area the rest of the home has baltic pine polished floor boards. There is 1 bathroom that is quite small, and original it does have a full bath, toilet and shower in the one room. The laundry facility includes a new washing machine, wash tub and dryer that is in a seperate room to the house

Loved our stay in this beautifully renovated property. Beds were extremely comfortable. Wonderful host, very helpful. Very convenient, short drive to town center. We would stay here again.
this is one of the few truly pet friendly places we have found in Launceston - with sound fencing and security, as well as being single level (ideal for the older pets as well as the older humans)
My husband and son very much enjoyed their stay. It was so convenient to everything, clean and comfortable in a beautiful setting. My husband says he would love to live there! It would be great place for a couple or family. We had all intended to go including our 2 dogs, which the garden would have been perfect for but an injury prevented me from going and our plans changed at the last minute. We would definitely book again.

My fur baby loved the many windows and heaps of room and fun to scoot around inside.

The views were stunning from the backyard you were able to overlook the city of Launceston and the lake and river that was in the background.
The house was really clean and had a homely feel to all the rooms in the house.
Our stay was a very pleasant one.

The home was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. We walked into town on several days - no need to find somewhere to park the car - and sampled some of the excellent food offerings. (Tatler Lane for breakfast was a hit.
The outdoor areas were large and provided plenty of space to relax. Parking the car was a little challenging at first due to the steepness of the drive, however we soon got the hang of it.
The owner was quick to respond to queries and provided helpful information.
Great facilities and Catherine was very helpful with suggestions about Launceston and the Tamar Valley.
Entry by car is tricky and steep but go slow and you will be OK.
Lovely and quiet area.
Best way to get to house is via George Street, then Lord Street,
then French Street, then turn right into St Johns Street.
Overall we felt the property needed some love and attention, with a number of things 'not quite right', maintenance needed and a deep clean required. Was great to have a fireplace but it wasn't set on arrival and had to scour the property to find wood, only to then find nothing to light it with!

The property was very well located, close to restaurants, cafes and shopping. The house was immaculate, well equipped and comfortably furnished with a lovely outdoor area and garden.
Check in was an issue as the entry details had not been provided and the phone no provided for the property owner was a disconnected number. This all caused unnecessary stress for me. The staff member at Stayz was of great help when I resorted to phoning Stayz to find out how I was going to access the property.
All that said, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again (and hopefully the check in process would be straightforward). I would definitely recommend this property to others.
We had a lovely three nights at this property. It’s in a great location to walk to the coffee shops in Launceston- although the last 50 metres up a steep hill gets the heart pumping!
Very comfortable property with good heating, great proximity to CBD and a lot of tourist info. Also a safe enclosed space for our dogs was appreciated.
The owner is lovely and has the best of intentions for her property and her guests. However, even the best of intentions can sometimes let you down. This is a century old house that has been renovated and turned into a holiday rental. Its sloping floors (apparently with no structural issues) and bed sheets were clean but overall the house could use some TLC especially when it comes to dust and the kitchen area. If you decide to stay here and have any issue, make sure you call it out to the owner straight away and she will go out of her way to make it good. And have a great time while you’re there - Launceston has so much to offer, you won’t be short of things to do.
