Amazing place to kick back and enjoy the surrounding attractions. Toured Watertown, Sackets Harbor, Alexendria Bay, Clayton, Oswego. Two fishing trips with Cold Steel / Tom Burke. Great King Salmon fishing. Limited out (as usual with Tom & Andy)

Daniel,
Thanks so much for the kind words and for taking the time to write a review. We're very glad you enjoyed the lodge and the surrounding area. Sounds like you had a great time with Cold Steel Sportfishing!
We went to upstate NY to visit family. Our children and grand children met us there. The house was larger than it looked and the 7 of us had plenty of room. The house was clean when when we arrived. No issues at all during our stay. Just know that there is no ice maker in the Fisher & Paykel refrigerator. Not a negative for us as I always want fresh ice anyway. We would definitely stay here the next time we are visiting.

Great location , huge it was gigantic , tapping noise kept us up all night and there was not a single condiment , oil or anything to cook . The beds were the most uncomfortable clapped out mattresses.
Pool table was awesome , bring everything if you intend to make coffee .

Bryan,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take guest feedback seriously as guests identify where and how we can improve the experience for the future through their use of the property.
As a matter of information, the tapping noise was likely the hot water baseboard used to heat the house. When hot water is circulated buy the furnace the pipes expand slightly which can create a ticking noise.

In town for a wedding and the house was surprisingly large!
The house met our needs clean comfortable and location. Only suggestion would be for a better supplied kitchen. We cooked breakfast and could have used plastic wrap and extra pans. The house was great and looking to return for the fishing!

Hi Chris, Thank you for the review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Please visit again soon!
House was nice, spent our time playing pool while we were at the house. Wish the AC and fans had been on when we arrived as it was extremely hot like last year when we stayed, we were very disappointed that they were not on. We weren’t able to cool the house down to be comfortable while there. Grassy area down the stairs was not mowed, my son had brought outdoor games we couldn’t play down there. We wanted to walk the trail as it’s a great walk, but it wasn’t mowed down. We did walk a short way the day we arrived and walked out into the river which felt nice being so hot out. Overall a nice place.
The house was great. We came out for our annual fishing trip on Lake Ontario which we did Monday and decided to make a weekend out of it. We enjoyed the pool table in the basement, that was where we hung out when at the house. Our boys especially loved learning to play. The trail behind the house was great, my 10 year old walked it a couple times with me. The only issue for us was it was extremely hot the day we arrived and when we entered the house there was not any AC or fans on so it took a while to get the house cooled down to a comfortable temp. Overall we had a great weekend!
Our stay was excellent. Our group of 6 came for two nights. The house was extremely clean, spacious, well stocked, and as described. Inquiries made ahead of time were responded to by next business day. The lodge has turn down service which was nice. Each bedroom and one of the 2 living rooms had a portable AC unit. The kitchen and basement pool table room do not, and could get hot on warmer summer days. 30 min drive to port Oswego for our charter boat trip. Spring and fall are likely perfect times to stay.

Hi Ed, Thank you for the review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Please visit again soon!
We were very pleased with the property. Our only modification would be to change one of the amenities. It said that there was a hot tub, and that was a major reason we booked the property. Aaron was very nice and cleared up the confusion, but for future bookings I think that the listing for “hot tub” should be changed so others aren’t confused or think they’re getting one. Also, the bath tub had hair in it when we turned it on. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and the guest services team was super helpful and kind, we appreciated that very much!

Mairin, Thank you for alerting us of the discrepancy in the listing's amenities. The listing was promptly updated this morning to add clarity regarding the jetted bathtub. We understand why this would be a major reason that your group chose to reserve this location and how it impacted your experience. We're also sorry to learn about the tub's cleanliness as we take great pride in keeping our facilities extremely clean. As a result, we will be issuing you a partial refund. Thank you for asking us to correct the issue and we hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future.
Roomy and spacious. ROKU did not work. Maybe just needed batteries. I would suggest that the owner put a sign on the garage doors. "Park no closer than 4 feet" The garage doors swings out and can wack a car parked too close. I'm fortunate it just clipped the front of my car.

Hi Chris,
This is great feedback about the garage doors. Because they are custom doors, they open a little differently than normal doors that roll up. I will also double check that all remotes have batteries and accounts are logged in for our guests to use. Sorry you had trouble with them! We hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future.

The house was beautiful and you could listen to the river while you slept. Great access to the river and things to keep everybody busy. Our family loved the big gathering spaces and game room. Highly recommend this spot for a great family adventure
