Like most vacation rentals on Edisto Island, we do not provide any linens, towels, or toiletries. You're welcome to bring your own, or if you prefer not to, don't sweat it! Welcome to Drifting to Driftwood, your tranquil retreat nestled within the serene beauty of Edisto Beach at the Wyndham Resort. This cozy condo offers a glimpse into island living with a well-stocked kitchen, complimentary WiFi, and cable TV. Relax in the cozy one-bedroom layout featuring a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Enjoy entertainment on the 75-inch TV and soak in the island ambiance from the deck overlooking a picturesque pond inhabited by friendly turtles. Accommodation & Location:
Experience the tranquility of Edisto Beach at our ground-level condo within the Wyndham Resort. Ideal for couples or families seeking a comfortable stay, our condo offers the perfect blend of convenience and privacy. Please note that this unit is situated on the ground floor, with neighbors above, potentially resulting in some noise. We've owned this condo since the 1980s, and it's our home away from home.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Unwind in a king-size bed in the bedroom and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room, comfortably accommodating up to 5 guests. While the condo is best suited for 2 adults and 3 children, all are welcome to enjoy its cozy atmosphere. Feel free to bring an air mattress for added comfort.

Bedroom Space:
The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, complete with a comforter, pillows, and blankets for your comfort. Please note as mentioned that we do not provide linens like sheets or pillowcases. See further down the listing for linen package info if you do not plan to bring your own. The sleeper sofa in the living room also has a comforter and pillows. Extra pillows are also available in the bedroom closet.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped with a mid-size fridge, microwave, oven, blender, toaster, pots & pans, and all necessary cooking utensils. (No food or cooking condiments provided). Although it's not guaranteed, we do our best to provide some basic spices, oil, and medium roast coffee. We have a 12 cup coffee maker, with filters provided.

Laundry:
Washer and dryer are available for guest use. We strive to provide laundry detergent, hand soap, and dishwashing liquid, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

Outdoor Space:
Relax on the small back deck overlooking the pond filled with turtles and the adjacent golf course.

TV Entertainment:
Experience entertainment at its finest with a 75-inch smart TV in the living room, offering an array of streaming options and cable channels. Retreat to the bedroom, where a 42-inch TV equipped with Roku and cable awaits, providing the perfect escape for relaxation and enjoyment.

Wyndham Resort Amenities:
Enhance your stay with access to the resort's amenities, including the pool, tennis courts, golf course, and Cabana use. These amenities are separate from us, however, I can provide the most up-to-date pricing I have. Please contact Wyndham directly to arrange purchase or for up-to-date pricing and any questions you may have.

Booking Requirements:
- ID Submission: You must provide a picture of your government ID within 24 hours of booking to us directly. This is required by our insurance company. The ID is kept on file only for the duration of your stay and then deleted. You can send the ID via the VRBO app, text, or email. If ID is not provided, unfortunately, the reservation will be canceled as a house rule violation.

- Communication: After booking, we will reach out to confirm and complete the booking process. Please ensure your VRBO app notifications or emails are turned on. Unresponsive reservations will be canceled.

Linen/Towel Information:
Guests must bring their own toiletries, bath towels, washcloths, and bed linens. Alternatively, S&J Linen Services, a local company, offers a linen package for a reasonable fee (not included in the reservation cost). Due to the time and expense of laundering, we do not provide linens, which is reflected in our discounted rental rates. S&J's package options are shown on the last picture of the listing.

Guest Access:
You have access to the entire condominium. The parking area is right out front of the condos (sometimes during the busy season you may have to park further out in the parking lot)

Other things to note
1. Pest Awareness:
Please note that South Carolina, including this island, is home to various insects and creatures. Palmetto bugs, resembling roaches, and small Anole lizards may occasionally find their way into homes.

2. Water Quality:
Due to the condo's proximity to the beach, the tap water may have a slight salty taste, which is normal and safe. If this is not to your preference, there's a small grocery store just a 5-minute drive away in Edisto where you can purchase bottled water.

3. Pet Policy:
This is a pet-free home due to severe allergies and asthma. Bringing pets into the premises is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in immediate eviction without refund, along with responsibility for any damages incurred, including additional cleaning fees and upholstery cleaning. This policy applies to service animals as well, as the residence is partially owner-occupied when not occupied by guests.

4. No Smoking Policy:
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the home; however, it is permitted outside. Evidence of smoking indoors will result in cleaning fees and a $250 fine.

5. Vehicle Restrictions:
Wyndham regulations prohibit boats or golf carts on the property. If you plan to bring a boat, there are private docks on the island where you can rent a slip.



Additional Policies:
- Guests must be 25 years or older to book unless prior permission is obtained.
- Local bookings require prior permission.
- Reservations with house rule violations will not be refunded
-Security cameras are located within Wyndham resort and outside the condo. Tampering with the security camera or WiFi can result in immediate eviction without refund.


In light of unforeseen circumstances that may arise, we strongly advise considering the purchase of travel insurance offered by VRBO or another company. This is particularly important due to our strict cancellation policy, ensuring you have the necessary coverage and flexibility in case of unexpected events such as illness, flight cancellations, weather, natural disasters, etc.
