Dancing Bear is a great cabin. The drive in is beautiful. The rain made the roads a little difficult. The large hills were a little terrifying. Once we made it there., everything was just as listed. In fact, the only thing that was different was the outside fire pit. It was actually in a much better location than in the pictures and descriptions. We picked the rainiest week of the year, so we only used the pit once. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for the stay. If I could change one thing about the cabin, I would add a cover over the hot tub. We were able to use it one afternoon, but the rain was relentlessly. We would definitely choose this cabin again.
There was no firewood at the property, we had to call the property manager 3 times to get a couple issues resolved.
They need instructions to get the hot tub to work, person came over and had to call PM to assist.
The UTube TV in the Living Room worked fine, the Master Bedroom TV did NOT work with uTube TV, it kept asking us to join for $65 mo.
For the $700+ fees we paid for 2 nights, NOT WORTH IT.
We really enjoyed our stay despite the weather being crappy. Google Maps does not know the correct location of the cottage which did make finding it at night a bit difficult, but if you just follow the road the driveway and house was very well lit. The house manager responded to questions quickly. We would stay here again!!
Beautiful log home. Amenities incredible given the location. Great internet speed, disposal, etc. Friends facetiming with daughter she said 'You guys are living the high life.' Road in rough, driveway was fine.
Very clean and well supplied. Plenty of firewood, cooking utensils, soaps etc. comfortable beds
Will return to Dancing Bear Cabin in the summer! We enjoyed our stay except for the 3 days of rain! Enjoyed the warm fireplace and comfortable furniture. Plenty of outdoor activities todo . When not so cold and rain. However, the the turning leaves on the trees were beautiful! Overall a good Fall trip!
Wonderful cabin. Very roomy. Very private and quiet. Loved our stay and would stay there again. Great location. Central to almost everything. My only recommendation is, the road to the cabin is crushed granite and rock. Truck or SUV is a must and the driveway to the cabin is quite steep. Get there before dark in the first day. Lighting on the way to the cabin is minimal if at all.
Our family stayed for Labor Day weekend and had a great time! Cabin is beautiful and well equipped. The only negative was the beds weren’t comfortable.
My wife and 2 kids enjoyed 4th of July weekend and could not have been more satisfied with the cabin. Very well equipped with all the essentials you need to feel like you are at home. The lay out was perfect and all of the surrounding trees gave us complete privacy from the other nearby cabins. We look forward to going back again soon.
I would recommend this property for everyone. It was nice and relaxing. I spoke to the owner and the property manager during our stay due to storms knocking cable out before we got their. The owner left us a sweet note and a bottle of wine for the inconvenience, which was not an inconvenience for us because using the internet or watching TV was not in our plans for a vacation. It was fixed the next day regardless. They took care of all our needs. The cabin was well stocked with all supplies. Only 1 cabin really close by and it was not a problem. I recommend doing the Rugaruadventures zip line. It is fantastic amd I am 58 years old. It was my daughter granddaughter and I on this trip. We also kayaked down the river. A lot of fun also.
This property was so gorgeous and just as advertised. They had everything thought of for a weekend away at the cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit for s’mores making. It was easy to navigate to the lake and parks from here! Would absolutely return.
We needed to get away from all the covid craziness and this was the perfect escape! Loved the cabin it had everything we needed, we only had to bring our clothes and any food we wanted to cook or snack on while we were there. Plenty to do close by we loved the lake for kayaking and the spillway. The driveway can be tricky so just pay attention when you are pulling in and out at the entrance to make sure some of the gravel hasn’t washed away if there has been heavy rain.
