The focal point of the entire farmstead is the massive, yet elegant, three story red barn standing in the center of the farmstead. While it boasts of traditional spaces on the ground level, the novelty of the building is in what should be the hay loft. There, a rustic, yet elegant two story guest space opens with windowed walls on both the North and South sides of the structure reaching all the way to the peak of the roof. Come enjoy a glass of wine on the deck under the beautiful stars. Our historic barn can sleep 6 comfortably. There are 2 full size beds (remember folks, those big beds didn't exist back then), but ours are comfortable and a king size bed! The sleeping arrangement is one bed in the main area of the barn and one bed in each loft (which is accessed by a ladder). The barn features a full kitchen and quaint bathroom with an old cow trough tub. As a guest at our farm, feel free to roam around. The entire farm is yours. You may enjoy the pool at any time, mingle with the animals or relax on the private deck of your barn loft. I live on the property and am available as needed. I have spent hours by the pool with some guests and just greeted others. It is entirely up to the guest how much interaction they want. I am always available on the property. A heavy continental breakfast (Farm fresh egg and cheese strata, a homemade pastry, farm fresh yogurt, and orange juice) is served either in your cabin, or at poolside (weather permitting) for $12 per guest. We love your fur babies, and they are more than welcome at Coulter Farmstead. We charge an additional fee of $25 per pet per night. Coulter Farmstead is a luxurious, rustic, and historic farmstead located in Washington, Arkansas that features four log cabins dating to the 1840's and a unique barn loft over an actual working barn that have been painstakingly renovated, as well as an 1860's antebellum Greek Revival home situated on 11 acres with an 1880's historic mercantile. Coulter Farmstead is located on the edge of Washington State Park "Old Washington" located just a few miles from Hope and Texarkana. Our property is authentic and will make you feel as though you have stepped back in time, but with all the modern conveniences and amenities. We were only there for less than twelve hours, but the place was beautiful and very clean. We were grateful for a nice clean place to get some rest on our trip from Texas to Kentucky.
Coulter Farms is beautiful, and Brad is an excellent host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was phenomenal. The Barn was an amazing place to stay. I just wish we had been able to stay longer!
Our family really enjoyed staying in the Barn at Coulter Farmstead. It was nice to walk around and pet & feed the animals. The farm dog Able was so sweet and wanted to escort us everywhere we went. The pool was so refreshing after a long day of exploring the area. We had no complaints with the barn. It was so comfortable and welcoming and had the most gorgeous views. The mercantile was always fun to visit. The breakfast was SO good, not sure how they make the yogurt but would have loved to order a gallon of it. Justice is so friendly and always gave good advice on things to do in the area. 5 stars all around!
Our family (ranging in age from 7-72) all loved our stay in the Bozeman Barn at Coulter Farmstead! Check-in was low stress. Katie and Justice had the barn already nice and cool when we arrived. We arrived after dark so kids found a board game and started playing after exploring the sleeping lofts. They slept so well in the barn—woke later than usual both days we stayed. My city raised kids appreciated the ability to visit with the animals and a highlight was giving calf, Sadie Mae, her bottle. The pool at the farmstead was a welcome place to refresh after our day at Crater of Diamonds. So nice to be able to stay in such a well appointed place that had everything we needed, and we could bring our dog too.
Hope to come back!
We stayed in the Bozeman Barn of the Coulter Farmstead the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Brad was the most gracious host - communication was great, he left a key for us for easy check-in, check-out was simple - overall a five-star experience! The Barn is exquisitely decorated and appointed. The kids loved the loft areas and helping Brad feed the animals! I've got to mention the breakfast Brad prepared for us too - it was one of the BEST we've ever had! We will be talking about that for a long time! I recommend this location to stay in 100%! It was a quick drive to Crater of Diamonds (about 30 min) and a short distance to Hot Springs (1 hr 30 min). Washington State Park is literally down the street. Stay here and you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks again, Brad!

Thank you so much! It was my absolute pleasure to be your host!
This was amazing. The barn was incredible and the property was a little slice of heaven. Bradley was so kind and responsive with his communication. Can't wait to go back
A very eclectic, charming place. We stayed in the loft above the barn. The kids loved sleeping in the loft and swimming in the pool. The farm is lovely. I'm sure Bradley has worked hard to make this a place to enjoy.
My family and I stayed in the barn and we loved it! The inside is beautifully decorated and the farmstead is beautiful. My daughter enjoyed playing with the pigs and goats. Best place for a quiet, peaceful getaway!
We loved the environment! The kids loved going up the stairs and staying in an actual barn! We got to see the pigs and goats and we had a glow stick party at night haha so much fun! They loved the tub too! Very comfy beds and furniture too! Loved it!!
Best night sleep in years, window open listening to the rain on the tin roof. Great place to just get away and relax. Look forward to coming back again soon.
This was by far my most favorite experience on VRBO by far! The pictures just dont do it justice we stayed just one night and from the first turn of the door was just breathtaking you walk in and can feel the history with light smells of rosemary and mint in the air the decor was fabulous cute and charming we had eveything we needed and the beds were perfect like sleeping on a cloud! The owner was super great and just went above and beyond for us! The pigs and goats were fantastic for the kids and they were so excited to swim the pool was beautiful and it was honestly just nice to relax poolside while the kids did their thing the place was just chalk full of history. Even the husband loved it! It was such a lovely experience my only issue was that i shouldve booked more time here! Great staff great establishment definitely something to be proud of! 20/10 would recommend!!
Could not have been more perfect. Coulter Farmstead was above and beyond all our expectations. The accommodations were amazing, as was the incredible breakfast. My sister and I had such a wonderful time walking the grounds, and visiting with Brad and his manager Stephanie. I cannot wait to go back.
We enjoyed our very short stay. We would have loved to stay longer to just hang out and relax here. Beautiful grounds and clean property. We loved the animals and all of the choices in games to play in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the barn was beautifully decorated. Host was very friendly and communicated efficiently.
I can’t even begin to describe how truly incredible our stay was! Out of all the places my family have enjoyed over the years the Bozeman Barn at Coulter Farms is the most fantastic, unique and enjoyable! We loved the lofts and the fact that there were two so both my girls could pick one. The decor was beautiful and so eclectic but blended together so perfectly! We loved the tin roof so much and the tub was so cool! The beds were so very comfortable and fresh smelling. Everything was so clean. My family loved all of the animals and we couldn’t get enough interaction with them. My family found a new favorite game and there were so many to choose from provided in the barn. We only wished we had decided to stay longer. We were attracted to the area to enjoy the Crater of Diamonds State Park but could easily have enjoyed just staying on the farmstead the entire visit. Thank you Brad for your lovely creation and sharing the historic farmstead! Coulter Farmstead is naturally set up to allow social distance from all other units! It truly is a great escape during a chaotic time. Brad filled every need and provided absolute peace of mind in every way.
