Home from Home

This house is incredible! From start to finish we were welcomed by Marek and Shirley. The house has everything you could wish for and more. It’s modern and clean and kept to the highest standard. When arriving we were overwhelmed by the most beautiful view. The place is silent and a total escape from our busy lives we have back home. Marek went above and beyond to make our stay the best, He even loaned us some bread milk and beers when we had missed the shop opening times. We absolutely loved our stay and would most definitely come back.

Such a wonderful stay, pics don't do it justice!

We had an amazing relaxing stay in treziers and Marek (the owner) was a great host, who lived next door to the property but was in no way imposing and really let us relax and enjoy our time. (i.e. we played music through the Sonos morning to night, drank cocktails in the pool and genuinely treated it like a home away from home :) ) The space: The villa was well equipped and the rooms really comfy - Each had an ensuite which was great for a big group of friends like us. Plenty of space outside for BBQing, Eating, Chilling and a fab pool with amazing views. Cooking facilities were top notch and details like big serving bowls and platters, plenty of wine glasses, dishwasher etc were a real win as we're big foodies and were able to fully enjoy all the food and wine the south of France has to offer! The area is remote enough to feel like you can switch off and enjoy the surroundings, but close enough to larger towns to explore. We managed to catch the famous mirepoix market, go wine tasting at a local vineyard and visit a chateaux and walking spots, all short drives away! We'd love to come and stay again in the future, we honestly had such a good time!

Accueil chaleureux de Marek (l'hôte) présent et toujours disponible en cas de petits soucis. La maison est particulièrement spacieuse, les chambres toutes avec salle d'eau exceptée une avec une grande SdB. Par contre, 2 à l'étage sont équipées, à notre goût, de lavabos (plutôt de lave-mains) vraiment trop petits. Sinon, pour le reste, pas grand chose à redire...La maison est située dans un endroit calme et reposant et surtout avec une vue extraordinaire de la superbe terrasse, sur les Pyrénées et un château Cathare. Quelques petits regrets : 1 parasol supplémentaire pour la piscine serait un vrai plus, 1 BBQ charbon de bois complémentaire à la plancha et pour les amateurs de café, une cafetière à dosette. Après, ce serait être vraiment tatillon... ;-)

Des belles vacances idylliques dans une maison parfaite. Nous ne pourrions souhaiter mieux. Tout est fait pour passer un moment reposant et agréable. Nous étions 8 (4 adultes et 4 enfants). La vue est vraiment magnifique, la piscine parfaite pour jouer et nager, les pièces communes très agréables pour partager des moments conviviaux et les 4 chambres vraiment spacieuses et permettant une réelle intimité (1 salle de bain/ chambre) Merci encore à notre hôte qui fut très accueillant et discret. Excellent place for a relaxing holiday

Absolutely perfect. The house has a huge terrace that faces the mountains and fields as far as the eye can see and a big swimming pool just below the terrace. The house with it's open floor plan makes it just perfect for a family reunion. It has everything you need and more. Marek and Shirley are wonderful hosts that are always ready to give advice or a helping hand. Even though they live next door, they are extremely discreet and at the same time very friendly. The location is perfect for hiking at all times of the year.

Having successfully opened and run a small restaurant (Le Rendez-vous) for 11 years in nearby Léran, Shirley and I have now retired and moved into a magnificent home that we recently designed and built.
We have decided to share it with vacationers so they too can experience the pleasure of this region. The house is large enough for us to share. We live in a separate apartment within the premises so that we are available to answer your needs while remaining totally separate from you. We hope you will enjoy the many activities to experience in this region while revelling in the magnificent views of the nearby Pyrenees. There is something for every taste: natural beauty, walks, hiking trails, water sports, history, ancient Cathar ruins as well as excellent restaurants and cafes in nearby Mirepoix.

Why they chose this property

The house stands atop a ridge in the foothills of the Pyrenees on the edge of the little village of Tréziers. The view from here is one of the best in the whole region and changes constantly as the sun moves, the seasons change, and the weather makes its impact.
If you like living al fresco then you will delighted with the magnificent outdoor living area, a 60m² partially covered terrace with seating and dining areas and leading down to the 50m² pool and sun bathing areas.
