An idyllic scene awaits in Shoal Bay, where a wide arc of white sand beach is adorned by a heritage lighthouse on one end and the striking Tomaree Head on the other. This small hamlet is a great base for enjoying the natural wonders of Port Stephens, including spotting dolphins in the wild, and embarking on hikes that finish with unforgettable views. The calm crystal clear waters of Shoal Bay are prefect for swimming, kayaking, fishing and stand up paddle boarding. Ride along and explore the scenic foreshore where you will find picnic tables and barbecue facilities, for the active guests you are able to hire Stand Up Paddle boards and Bikes.

At the eastern end of the bay is the magnificent Tomaree National Park where you can explore the paved Historic Fort Tomaree walk around the headland for the reminders of Australia's World War II coastal defense, from there you can enjoy the Tomaree Head summit walk for amazing breathtaking panorama views of Port Stephens and the NSW North Coast, if your lucky you can even spot whales during their migration season. Take the time to enjoy some of the stunning local beaches in the area Shoal Bay Beach, Zenith Beach, Wreck Beach and Box Beach.
Shoal Bay offers a selection of cafes, restaurants and takeaway fish and chips shops, enjoy a meal over looking Shoal Bay Beach at Shoal Bay Country club or explore the tastes of authentic Greek food at Atmos, take the time to sit and enjoy the views of Shoal Bay at Port Stephens Game Fish Club.

Park your car in the ground level secure carpark and walk absolutely everywhere.

Pets are NOT welcome at this property.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and neighbours, we do not accept bookings for 'Schoolies' breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow parties of any sort.

Kindly note a deposit of 50% AUD of total amount will be charged at time of confirmation. An option of direct deposit and credit card is offered.

A $1000 Security Deposit (PRE-Authorisation) IS TO BE Held. The bond will be processed prior to arrival. We only accept Mastercard or Visa.

You can check in anytime between the hours of 2PM and 5PM on Weekdays. On weekdays after-hours, weekends and public holidays there is an afterhours check-in service. If you require this service, please inform one of the members at LJ Hooker Nelson Bay prior to your day of arrival.

Payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed on our website which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email. This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence.

Spacious apartment with tremendous views of Shoal Bay. In the heart of town, with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

Property is beautiful and finishes all high and. View and outdoor area spectacular. Could be helpful for second set of keys and an outdoor kitchen would top it all off. But would stay there again, convenient for shops and Shoal Bay Beacha and plenty of walks. front door could also do with a soft close mechanism so doesn’t slam.

Beautiful stay, spectacular location
The photos don’t do this property justice. The floor to roof glass doors invite the most spectacular view all day long. My favourite part was laying in bed as the sun rose, drinking a cup of tea looking for dolphins swimming by. The living areas are much larger than the photos seem. Everything was clean and well equipped. Our family had a wonderful stay and will be rebooking. There’s a lovely cafe downstairs with delicious coffee too. My only feedback for improvement is the shower heads in both bathrooms are terrible. Much like showering under a garden hose. If they are replaced this apartment would be absolutely perfect.

Beautiful location
Right across from the beach, cafes and shops below. Especially good for us with a 4 and 2 year old as we could just walk right across to the beach very easily. I wish the shower heads were a little better, and they had more than 2 rolls of TP for our 4 night stay. Apart from that it was good. Very convenient. Views are amazing.
