Positioned just a few minutes from Opua township, this light, well equipped holiday home has views to die for, but are far better experienced in person.

The 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom open plan holiday home is the perfect setup for families or friends alike. Natural light floods all areas of the house and the overhanging deck is perfect for any occasion.

Picture yourself sitting on the gorgeous deck enjoying a cold drink, surrounded by bush, looking out towards the ocean. With the beach just minutes away you're never far away from a spot to cool off and relax.

Each of the four bedrooms are modern, spacious and light. You're also only a 10 minute drive from Paihia and the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds. As well as being just minutes from the Opua car ferry and a 10 minute drive into the famed Russell township.

Views, location and space. You can't get better than that. Make your holiday one to remember at Skipper's Haven.

Comfortable, Clean and Spacious House

Beautiful house with all amenities, quiet, and views of the forest and the ocean in the distance. Great bathrooms and an excellent shower, very relaxing. We were able to catch up on sleep from our long travel day to New Zealand with the quiet atmosphere and lots of bedrooms.

Close to Paihia and yet quiet secluded oasis

Lovely stay, enjoyed a relaxing break at this lovely property. The morning birdsong was the highlight along the balcony/ desk with a view that is great. Debbie made the check in/ out process very easy. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Spring getaway in the Bay of Islands

We found the location perfect for visiting all the places we wanted to see. The house was cosy at night when it was cooler and easily aired during the day when it was very warm. The children enjoyed the space and the littler ones were safe on the balcony as it was well fenced.

Opua welcoming

The property made it easy for us as we were picking up crew off a yacht that had arrived in Opua. It is well stocked and Debbie is very helpful.

Wedding Weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Skippers, the property was perfect for our needs, the beds were super comfortable and the house was very well equipped, plenty of parking which allowed for ease of turning our vehicles without having to reverse up the drive. It was also very handy having the double garage so that the cars were "indoors" over night. We had the most spectacular weather so got to enjoy the wonderful deck too. Thank you for helping to make the wedding weekend extra special. :)

Immaculate and Private

Better than we expected! The home is beautiful, great for our big family group, lovely views and nice and private. Comfy beds, good linen and well stocked kitchen. The outside area was a safe, fun place for the kids to play, would happily come back again A+++

Well maintained, clean and appropriate. Few suggestions we like to give: * Heat pump would be an appropriate heating option rather than a heaters throughout the bach. * Toilet extractor fans in the toilets would be beneficial. * During warmer months, the spotlight especially above the kitchen benchtop was penetrating and heavy to be under, either shift the individuals spotlights in different directions or any other appropriate remedy would be better. Other than these, lovely bach to stay in.

This was a lovely property and perfect for us, especially since we have a young toddler.

This was a lovely property and perfect for us, especially since we have a young toddler. The deck is big and completely secured so it gave us a lot of piece of mind. The master closet was big enough that she had her own room in there. The views were beautiful and calming. It's a very cosy property. The road immediately before the property is tough to get up as the gravel needs to be graded.
