About this property

Ocean Front Home With Private Dock

Ocean view and 40 feet of boat dock space in the same location.

There are not very many properties in the Keys that give you an ocean view with a private dock on a deep canal. Our canal is 15-20 ft deep and an awesome place to go swimming. Since the home is right on the ocean, a lot of fish and wildlife come right up to the dock. You can actually see the Molasses Reef tower from the porch. Molasses Reef is 8 miles by boat and probably the best reef in the United States. A must see. In the winter, a group of snow bird pelicans arrive and spend their warm lazy days on the dock across the canal. The pelicans, sea gulls, herons, and other birds usually put on a tremendous air show hunting for fish in the canal and also on the flat across the canal.

The property is centrally located between Key Largo and Islamorada, less than 10 miles north and south. John Pennekamp State Park is about 10 miles north with tour boats, snorkeling trips, kayak rentals and much more. There are lots of dive shops and charter fishing boats all around the area.

Harry Harris Park is about a mile away with boat ramps, a swimming area, playground, picnic area with grills, a softball field, and basketball courts. There are many dive shops in the area that would be happy to take you diving or snorkeling, or you could even go on a glass bottom boat to see the marine life without getting wet. There is so much to do here you could get exhausted doing it all. No worries, this is also the perfect place to just kick back, relax and enjoy the view.

Perfect Home For A Real Florida Keys Vacation And Experience
Immaculate ocean front home offering spectacular sunrises, ocean breezes and sun along with plenty of room for additional guests. My wife and I along with Rusty, our cockapoo child, spent February 2018 in this house and could not have found a nicer place enjoy the Keys. The home is furnished with everything we required for the month and is decorated in a Florida beach theme which added to the vacation atmosphere. We had plenty of room when our son, daughter-in-law and 3 month old grand-daughter visited for a week. With the large oceanfront deck and open area below, most of the time is spent outside enjoying the warm weather! The neighbors, both permanent residents and snowbirds were very friendly and always made time for a friendly chat as we walked around the neighborhood. Rich was very helpful with a list of local restaurants and attractions and made sure that we were comfortable with where everything was when we moved in. After that, we never had to contact him until we ready to leave. Unfortunately, Rich had already rented it for February 2019 or we would have definitely rented it for next year.

Ocean views and breezes were the best.
The home was very nice and we felt like we were at home. The lower patio area is great. Upper deck had an great view of the ocean. Eating our meals outside while having the view of the ocean was awesome. It sure beats the snow!!! The Florida Keys are amazing. We are from Canada and it was so nice to see green all the time. Sun and warm weather. You can't beat that in March.

February 2016
My wife and I spent the month of Feb at the aspirin. We enjoyed ourselves and found lots to do around the area. Plenty of good restaurants, bars, and attractions. Even though the wind blew pretty constantly we were able to kayak, spend time at Harry Harris park, which is about a mile from the house, do a little fishing, and enjoy the sunrises from the porch, and sunsets at various locations on the bay side. The house itself was a little disappointing. It had very few amenities, both inside and out. Furniture on the deck was a couple of plastic chairs an ancient glider and broken table. Inside furniture looked to be vintage Target, and not much of that. The kitchen appliances were also dated and rusty. Also no screens in the windows or doors and the master bath was atrocious. We also had to buy things like a dust pan and brush, kitchen strainer, and a frying pan. Place could be a gem with some tlc, but as it stands now for the price, I'd look elsewhere
