Our second time staying here, the property is very scenic and the location is very convenient. We spent several late afternoons enjoying the outdoor patio.
We had a lovely 7 day stay here. Because I have a couple annoying food allergies, I tend to do a lot of cooking and was delighted by the well outfitted and roomy kitchen. The back patio was lovely and private, though it was a wee bit chilly to sit in the shade while we were there. Would be great in the summer though. The location was perfect for hiking in the Mt Lemmon foothills, with good access to great restaurants and Whole Foods (for my cooking needs). Highly recommend!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely place. Perfect for 2 as there is plenty of room to spread out. We especially loved the kitchen and patio. If you like to cook, there is lots of room and wonderful Mountain View’s. Owners on site but out of sight. We had no issues. Very private. We’d come back. Great for bicycling. ❤️
My son bc and I enjoyed staying here. We weren’t on site much as we were at my daughter’s home for the holiday. But the place is clean and quiet and looked to have all the amenities needed. I expected maybe a keurig. As it was there was a decent coffee maker. But I wasn’t going to buy a container of coffee to use once or twice. So that’s all I would have changed. My son said the Murphy bed was not very comfortable, but it was good enough.
I stayed two nights. This vacation home is beautifully decorated in a great part of Tucson, near Mount Lemmon. The area is quiet and the homes have large yards which gives you a lot of privacy.
The home was tastefully decoracted. The kitchen, bath and laundry were well stocked. The home had a great patio that overlooked the mountains; a wonderful retreat at the end of the day. The TV appeared to have a lot of channels but I didn't really watch it.
Note that the second bedroom is a Murphy bed but it was comfortable enough. The second bedroom also has the washer/dryer in it.
I would definitely stay again. It was very convenient to Mount Lemmon and Saguaro National Park. It was just a perfect retreat at the end of the day.

Beautiful Quite Home Close to Mt Lemmon
My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment which is attached to the main house. The owners are present, but you'd never know. Our backyard patio was separated and secluded from the rest of the house. We had it to ourselves. There is a gas grill for grilling separate from the owners. The sunsets are in credible as are the mountain views.
The kitchen is roomy and has all that you need for cooking as we did. The views from the kitchen are awesome as well.
We had our bikes and we were able to keep them inside the back wall of the yard. The neighborhood is very safe. The house is located off Catalina Highway but set back pretty far. Our apartment was in the back and very quiet. This is an excellent home for Mt Lemmon biking or just plan East Tucson Biking.
We highly recommend this home!
This property is described as a two-bedroom "separate home". The owner also referred to it at least once to us as a "casita". In truth, the VRBO is simply one section of the owner's home, separated by a single, locked door. Everything that went on in the their room next to our TV area could be heard and we had NO PRIVACY. IN ADDITION, while it was true that the onsite dog was not unfriendly, when we tried to go outside to enjoy the evenings, the dog would not leave us alone, including repeated licking of our hands , feet and any food we attempted to bring out with us. Despite our repeated stating of the word "no", the owners rarely intervened, making it impossible for us to go outside at all.
Having said all that, the rooms and kitchen were clean and bright and the queen bed was comfortable. The owner was generally friendly.

Hi Julianne, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following:
- We are sorry if you were caught off guard by the set-up of the home but the listing description is very clear and accurate. Not only does our casita have a separate entrance, it also has a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a separate back patio.
- The single locked door enters a storage/washing room area and not a living space.
- We encourage guests to reach out with any issues they have while in residence, and we would have been more than happy to make adjustments had you let us know about the dog. As dog lovers, we try to be very conscientious of others' discomfort.
- As always we appreciate all feedback so we can continually improve our guests' experiences.
Ideal location for the East side of Tucson. Perfect access to Mt. Lemmon. If you're a cyclist it's ideal for climbing. If you like to hike, you're within 20 miles of innumerable trail heads for canyon, desert, or mountain hiking.
Directions to the property were very specific and accurate. Checkin was straightforward. The owner was attentive. The dwelling was immaculate. Although we didn't prepare a lot of meals at the property, too many nice places to eat out, we had all the utensils we would have needed.
All in all highly recommend, particularly for a couple looking for some together time.
We did a lot of hiking from this area and very much enjoyed our stay. The unit it 8 min from the back entrance of Sabino Canyon which has some beautiful hikes. The hosts were helpful with info about hikes, sunset views and restaurants. A lot to see in Tucson! Unit was comfortable with standard bed, Murphy bed and sofa bed. Full kitchen, well stocked. We brought groceries and did our cooking there. Very comfortable!
Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Clean house with all the essentials. Short drive to many hikes in northeast Tucson including the road to Mount Lemmon! Nice backyard with some Mountain views! Patio mostly shade covered in March. Surrounding neighbors houses mostly hidden by plants. Lovely stay.
One reason we chose this property was its close proximity to the outdoor activities (hiking, golf) that we wanted to do in Tucson. We were very comfortable - the house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Due to Covid we wanted to eat in and the kitchen was well stocked for that. Property owner was very cordial and helpful with local hints. Even though it is adjacent to the owner's property it was very private. Great place!
Gracious Hosts & a wonderful, tranquil, fully appointed apartment!
My wife, brother and I stayed for 6 days in early October of 2020. This property is well located near the foothills of Mount Lemon, close to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops and gas stations, ect (1.2 - 1.8 miles). It is a very spacious, two bedroom, one bath, full kitchen with excellent family room and fantastic outdoor space. It is a wonderfully decorated, and well appointed apartment adjoined to the main dwelling. Although attached, it has its own very private drive, parking and entrance. It also has its own peaceful, beautifully landscaped backyard, outdoor space, repleat with an amazing variety of birds and small wildlife, as well as a chiminea, gas grill and plenty of chairs and table space. The bathroom is spacious, and has a lovely walk-in shower and was full of towels, washcloths and other amenities. The spare bedroom has a stack washer/dryer unit which was very handy. We love to cook small family meals when traveling and the fully appointed kitchen didn't disappoint! The kitchen has every gadget, utensil, cookware and dishes you would need for a large family or group of friends. Our host Diane was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She made superb recommendations for both a delicious pizza place and great coffee place, only a couple minutes from the house. Our stay was perfect! We were looking for some peace, quiet, and solitude, with a comfortable space, close to all the neat outdoor things to do and this certainly fulfilled our wishes! We highly recommend this wonderful place, and would definitely stay again! Thanks again Diane for being such a gracious host!
Perfect place to stay in Tanque Verde/northeast Tucson
This home was exactly as advertised. In fact, it's even better than the online photos suggest. The house, patio and property are quite private, although it's an attached separate part of the owners home, with its own entrance and parking area. Diane is a terrific host and so helpful providing local "pro tips" about things to do and places to visit. I tend to overpack and prep for extended stays in short-term rentals and there was really no need for us to bring some of o ur extras along. The kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are well appointed and have everything a traveler might need (and we were there for a month). Great weather, great house, great people - and you'll love Mojo, a sweetie of a dog!
Clean and so comfortable...from the bed to the couch...to the backyard. Great kitchen set up and supplied with a nice assortment of dishware including sharp knives and even frosted margarita glasses in the freezer.
The property is located at the base of Mt. Lemmon so easy access to trails and sunset views and is also close to Sabino National Park.
We were pleased to meet Diane, one of the owners, who gave us perfect recommendations for hikes and for the best local bakery. And then there was Mojo...a crazy, fun canine superstar.
Oh, and let's not forget the coyotes singing in the middle of the night.
