Decent Condo, Terrible Communication
We have stayed in the greater Puerto Aventuras area many times, and in this case we were transferring from a larger house after most of our group left. This was the 4th time we have stayed in a Quinta Del Sol condo, and we love the location, security and pools.
Unfortunately, we had a very hard time reaching the property manager. We were hoping for an early check-in, which we understand is not always possible, but the unit actually wasn't ready when we tried to check in. We ended up sitting outside, with all of our luggage, for quite a while.
The unit was very nice at one point, but it needs some TLC. I replaced one light bulb, but the housing was broken. The wood shutters for the balcony doors were all falling apart, and the fan in the primary bedroom was not working. When I asked about the fan, I never recieved a response.
The last thing I requested was a late check out, since 10am is quite early when your flight doesn't leave until 4pm. I also assumed it wouldn't be a problem since we were forced to check in late, and I asked for 11am. Once again, I did not recieve a response until asking a seconed time, and it sounded like it was an issue. Even after finally confirming the time, the cleaning crew still showed up at 10am.
Honestly, this was a disappointing end to a nice vacation. All of the issues could have been avoided with better communication.
