This is the quintessential Palm Springs experience where it is all about the architecture, design, Mid Mod lifestyle and relaxing in the sunshine! Open concept floor plan, walls of glass, saltwater pool, spa, fire feature, covered outdoor dining pavilion w/ barbecue bar. Breathtaking mountain views. Flexible sleeping quarters for 6 adults plus two children.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
Walled and gated for privacy, this property captures the nostalgic vibe of Palm Springs yesteryear while still being fresh and current - updated for the way we live today. The backyard itself has been carefully space planned - w/lots of different gathering places. The heated saltwater pool has an integrated waterfall spa and a tanning deck. The yard also has a fire feature, covered outdoor dining pavilion, hard-lined gas BBQ, outdoor sink and island bar w/ seating. Cactus, palm trees and stunning mountain views all add to the magic of this special property.

** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. If you home has a spa or hot tub, heating the spa is included with your rental at no extra cost **

This classic midcentury Butterfly has been completely remodeled - yet still honors the home's midcentury architecture - preserving its clean lines, clerestory windows, open concept floor plan and walls of glass that blur the lines between indoor outdoor living. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other - providing enough space for your entire group to relax and enjoy. Everything has been updated for the way we live today - including new bathrooms, new kitchen, upgraded heating and cooling systems, high speed internet, 4 flat screen TVs and a classically-Krisel gas fireplace.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
The high-style sleeping quarters offer flexible accommodations for all different types of traveling groups - from multi-generational families and golf foursomes to reunions for college friends and girls weekends. Plenty of room for everyone! Each bedroom features an ultra-comfortable hotel-quality mattress, flatscreen TV, private yard access and ample storage. The Master Suite has a King bed, private patio and en suite bath. There are also two King Guest Rooms in the main house that share easy access to the hall bathroom.

Amazing retreat

Such a cool house in a super quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely look to book this property again. It had everything we needed and we loved the decor and pool area.

Great property and service.

We had a great time at the property. The house was very clean and had all the amenities. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and we enjoyed day and night swimming. The check in service and communication with the property managers was excellent. Will certainly recommend and stay again. Super quiet neighborhood and close to downtown / groceries.

Great Weekend In Palm Springs

Our company had an event in Palm Springs and we rented this house for our staff. We had a great time. Our staff mentioned that the house was actually nicer than the photos, which were already nice! Every part of the house was very clean and it was really appreciated. Thank you!

Spring break with fam

Perfect 5 days for the five of us. Our 3 teens were constantly out back on pool deck, pool or the hot tub. We hardly left and when did it was to get provisions at Ralph’s supermarket which is a 10 minute walk. Perfect.

A perfectly fresh luxurious MidMod gem

This house is everything is seemed and more! Perfect location to DTPS with a corner lot and plenty of privacy. It is well appointed with every small detail oozing luxury. No corners were cut in remodel, decorations, or upkeep. Book it! We will be back.

PS Smile Dream

We loved this property! The home had everything you could possibly need with some nice added touches like toiletries and delicious coffee that we enjoyed every morning by the pool! The area is super quiet and peaceful and great to walk around. The pool and hot tub were a dream and the backyard is so private and beautiful! Acme was so quick to respond to any questions and/or issues. So reliable and friendly! Thank you for a lovely vacation in this beautiful home and we cannot wait to come stay again soon!

PS Smile - fun fun!!

The house was well organized - every kind of kitchen appliance - I loved that you had the basic spices to cook with - fun interior ! And I’m an interior designer :) Great to have the pool heated. The spa was easy to turn on . Nice garden - The only negative is the upper windows in the bedrooms should have been washed - they look out on the hills . We had a terrific time!

Palm Springs Christmas & New Year’s Stay

PS Smile is a wonderful property. A pristine Krisel design / Alexander built. The house had everything you could want - kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking/baking accessory you could want. The pool and spa are beautiful and cleaned 2x a week. The maintain views are amazing - but be prepared to wake up early as the sun comes through the clerestory windows! The only downside was a slow drain in the kitchen which we let mgmt know about as we left. I would highly recommend this property.

Overall it was good.

Upon arriving entrance code was not working. Later on discovered that pool lights and smile sign by pool area were not working and the tv for master room was also not working. Had to call and had different techs come out the next two days of our stay which is a bit inconvenient while trying relax and enjoy family time. Didn’t get the full experience and and the first night was pretty much wasted.

Beautifully redone mid century in great neighborhood.

This house is stylish, comfortable. Well appointed, and has a lovely pool and yard. It’s very well equipped, and has a great kitchen as well. The yard / pool has a wonderful layout, including a bbq, outdoor entertaining area and fire pit. Twin Palms is a great and very central neighborhood. This was a five star property. Loved this home! Only downside is the arrival communication was somewhat scattered, with a “concierge” who met me at the property, offered to help with any concerns but knew absolutely nothing about the home or systems. It turned out the concierge’s function was mostly to explain the noise ordinance and get my signature on the city noise ordinance documents. This was a relatively minor problem, but the barrage of phone calls and texts from the office and concierge during my arrival was a bit off putting. (Four or five calls and texts in an hour.)

Looks just like the photos. The kitchen was very well stocked and the appliances including the barbeque were all great quality. The two bedrooms outside of the main house felt a little too far away from the main house for a children’s guest room. The noise restrictions imposed by Palm Springs was also a little stressful but overall the property was great.

This house is just minutes from downtown, walking distance to Koffi and Ralphs and close to all our favorite hiking trails. The Pool, Spa, Outdoor fire feature, Bbque and Backyard are perfection. the kitchen was conveniently labeled so you never had to search for anything and was fully stocked, which was very much appreciated as we cooked in most nights due to Covid! The house is adorably decorated, it truly makes you smile! The only bummer was the sandstorm that blew threw 3 nights before our departure which covered everything in the backyard in sand and dirt and made the pool and spa unusable for our last few days. Even Acme House can't control nature and they did finally get the spa working again for our last night.

A slice of architectural history

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mid-century modern fans will appreciate this splendidly renovated example of a Wm. Krisel design in the Twin Palms subdivision, surrounded by other interesting 50s/60s houses. The location is not easily walkable to downtown, but a 5-10 minute drive, and otherwise right in the heart of things. At only 1600 sq ft, the house is not overly roomy, but makes excellent use of every sq ft. The kitchen and poolside are very nicely equipped. Just a couple quibbles -- it could use better lighting in the LR and master BR, and the panoramic=but-uncurtained master BR clerestory window means you won't be sleeping late.

A Midcentury classic

The house is THE perfect Midcentury butterfly roof designed by iconic architect, William Krisel. It has been beautifully restored with everything needed for a wonderful stay: the kitchen is well stocked, the water is filtered, plenty of extra towels/bedding, excellent retro decor, two side rooms that would be perfect for energetic grandkids, etc. The only minor compliant I have is the lack of communication. We called in a request as well as submitted it in writing through the app and heard nothing back.

We usually don’t book the same place twice, but we will definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to come back! Only one drawback - the second bathroom is very small to share with two bedrooms. Would you consider shelving for toiletries, hooks and/or bars for towels, and a fan for ventilation? Otherwise there were only continual compliments from those we invited to stay.
