Quiet, comfortable private home sleeps 10 on 5 acres of woods three miles from Sand Valley Golf Resort's 3 courses as well as Lakes Castle Rock, Petenwell, Camelot, Sherwood, and Arrowhead with 2 more golf courses.
Beaches, maintained biking, hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails are among the many area activities. Bring your toys!
Large open floor plan and kitchen, great for entertaining. TVs in the living room and in the lower level shared space with a futon and upper bunk.
Relax on the back deck off the dining area or if you're quiet, watch birds, wild turkeys and deer from your rocking chair in the large screened in side porch. Nice view of the large fire pit area from the porch.
Minutes to Lake Petenwell and Lake Arrowhead. House has basement sink and counter space for cleaning fish.

Fun getaway in beautiful surroundings

We had a small reunion of old class mates here. The yard was perfect for yard games and we enjoyed the nice fire ring, screened in porch and spacious home. Great place to get away and enjoy some time in the woods.

Return Visit

This home was perfect for our second trip to Wisconsin. It is well equipped, has a beautiful yard and close to plenty of activities. We enjoyed unwinding by the fire at night with roasted marshmallows and s’mores. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting Wisconsin!

Great house in the woods!

Very nice house in the woods. Very spacious and very clean. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful yard, enjoyed watching the wildlife through the living room picture window.

Great place for family Getaway!!

We had a wonderful time!! There was plenty of room and sleeping areas. We loved the fire pit and cooking our dinners on the tripods . We especially enjoyed our time outside with no bugs! The house was well supplied and clean!! The screen porch was a great spot for morning coffee and visiting! Thanks for sharing your home!!!

State Trapshooting

We stayed while my boys were trapshooting. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for my family. We enjoyed the fire pit with s’mores a couple nights. I would highly recommend this house if you are in the area. There are plenty of activities within driving distance.

Everything we needed

We had plenty of room for our family and could find anything we needed. Cupboards were labeled which was useful. A large selection of dvds to choose from when we had time. We loved the beautiful yard, screened porch and outdoor fire pit.

The BEST vacation spot ever!!!

Spacious, super clean, well-stocked, peaceful, comfy, welcoming - this home was exactly what we needed as we gathered to join a nearby family reunion. The screen porch was wonderful, especially in the mornings when the early-risers wanted to sip coffee and visit while the sleepy heads were still in bed. The owner/manager was easy to communicate with and provided great instructions for everything. I left a couple of items in the dryer, and she mailed them back to me - such great customer service. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much!!! (Sorry to be so late posting this review - life happened after we returned home.)

Sand Valley Golf Trip

Perfect for a group of 7 adults. About 7 minutes from Sand Valley Golf Resort, and a fraction of the cost to stay at the resort. Very private and quiet setting. We were all very satisfied with our stay.

Family Reunion

Eighteen of us gathered here for one of the days. The porch was so large all of us could gather on it. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, prepare and serve us. We would stay there again.

Guys Get Together

This property was perfect for our groups get together! The place was clean upon our arrival, checkin was easy and Paula was a great host! We fished nearby Petenwell Lake and the house was located nicely within 10 minutes of the boat launch. The property had plenty of room for parking, had a great screen porch, fire pit, and plenty of room inside!

Family Reunion

We had a large family reunion and needed additional space for some of the out of towers. They enjoyed this house and proximity to Lake Arrowhead is great. The property manager was very responsive when we had questions leading up to our stay. We will try to get this house for the next time we need additional space for everyone.

Place was great!

I was in Nekoosa for a family reunion and needed a place for my family to stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We will stay there again if we need to stay in Nekoosa again. The house is close to lake Petenwell. We rented boats for the day! Very fun!

Nice, comfortable place to stay.

Six of us ladies were visiting for a family reunion and this was a very comfortable place to stay. We didn't spend much time there and did not enjoy the beautiful grounds. We would definitely come back. Note: Check before you come to see if construction on County Lane Z is finished. It was completely unpaved in July 2019, and this wasn't pocked up by the GPS. it could have been avoided completely by taking 13 to Badger Road.

My family has been coming to the Town of Rome for more than four decades.

First we just had a travel trailer on an empty lot. There were lots of campfires with Grandpa and Gram, Aunts and Uncles and cousins after a long day of planting trees or swimming at Lake Arrowhead. Years later we brought in the house and we created even more memories.

Now my family is scattered, some in different states, and we've all gotten too busy with life. So I'm opening my little House in the Pines for you to make memories too.

Why they chose this property

This is a beautiful property from the minute you pull in the driveway. The large grassy yard surrounds the house. A firepit with a cement patio around it can accommodate many chairs and is visible from the extra large screened in porch, my favorite part of the house. For those who prefer the inside you'll find an open concept upstairs with a finished basement, both with DIRECTV to enjoy on the Smart TVs.

Another house we rent is a short walking distance through the woods and would make a great location to rent both for friends or family to enjoy together.
