This authentically restored beautiful historic home will allow you to live like a local in the center of the historic district of Savannah, steps from all the sights.
Built in 1866 as part of the Ruckert Row on Jones Street, considered by most to be the prettiest street in the South. A two-story, 3 Bedroom (convertible to 4BR with a murphy bed in the den) / 3 Bath home with a remodeled kitchen.
Original heart pine floors, exposed brick, ten-foot ceilings, four non-working original fireplaces, authentic Victorian furniture and decor, gas lamps, a peaceful courtyard, and all the modern amenities which allow you to relax in the charm of the 'Hostess City."
The open double parlor (living room and dining room) is a perfect place to relax in the comfortable leather couches or to eat your home-cooked meal.
Off the remodeled kitchen there is a cozy den/bonus room which functions as a 4th bedroom with its Murphy Bed.
The tranquil private courtyard is recently rebuilt and landscaped, giving shade in the summer, and full of sun during the winter, where you can enjoy your morning coffee, eat a meal, or just take things slow like a local, sipping on your favorite drinks.
The back bedroom has a balcony on the second floor, great for sunning, overlooking the courtyard (and the St. Paddy's Day Parade route).
Two of the full bathrooms are upstairs: The master bath has a shower and the other, which is shared between the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, has a shower/tub.
The third full bathroom is downstairs and has a tub with a handheld shower-head, connected to the den with the Murphy Bed.
There are two private parking spaces in the driveway

I ask if you are staying for longer than a weekend, that you do me a favor and make sure the plants inside don't get too thirsty.
I have a landscaper named Belvin, middle-aged and missing a few teeth and walks with a limp, a very nice guy. You may see him working out front, or possibly watering plants in the back which he does a few times during the week in the mornings.

This property is ideally located to walk to every major downtown site including the river, thus avoiding parking fees. The home is lovely, well appointed. Host is quite responsive and very helpful. We loved the back porch. Property is on a quiet street with safe parking for 2 vehicles, which is a real bonus in Savannah. I would readily rebook this home for our next trip to Savannah.
The fou (four generation) found the stay enhanced by the beautiful but very comfortable home. The furnishings are beautiful and we enjoyed the historic artwork as well. We all slept well as the beds were very comfortable. It was easy to located and navigate to places we wanted to visit. The street of homes was lovely. The restaurant Clareys on the corner made a great breakfast. Thank you to our host for such a wonderful stay.
The location was perfect for walking the entire city. The street really is beautiful and the homes were all decorated for fall. Would definitely stay again.
Wonderful old house on Jones Street! We enjoyed our stay. Beds are comfortable. Backyard is nice. Kitchen is small but had everything we needed (we didn't cook much, too many good restaurants in Savannah). Thank you for letting us stay at your house!
Beautiful street, charming home where you can get to just about everything in a 15-25 minute walk. Beds were comfy. And one of the easier check out processes! We loved it!

Hey Teresa. So glad you enjoyed everything. Makes me happy!
The house is beautiful, the charm of Savanah spread throughout. The location, also perfect, walkable to everything but removed from the evening chaos of River Street.A wonderful space to enjoy.
Tranquil setting with safe off street parking. House is super well appointed and we loved the enclosed courtyard patio. Beds were very comfortable and house is spotless. Can’t beat location for walks and easy access to all. Really enjoyed.
We had a great vacation in Savannah. The location of the property was central to all of our activities, comfortable for a party of five and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
I am a retired army helicopter pilot, now a writer, originally from Montgomery, Alabama. I've lived in Savannah for 15 years and I know how to enjoy this city, its food and drinks, its social life, all the activities. And it would be my pleasure to share my knowledge with you.
Why they chose this property
This is one of a handful of rental properties on the famous and beautiful Jones Street, listed as one of the most beautiful in the country, in the center of the historic district of Savannah. You'll have the comfort of being home and will be within a few minutes walking of almost every tourist site in town.
What makes this property unique
Walking out the front door and taking a stroll on Jones Street is one of my favorite pastimes. You won't need a car and can walk everywhere. Very few people get to experience life like this.
