Five Bedroom house with 3 1/2 baths overlooking the cove, dock, and enjoy the babbling brook next to the home. Full service kitchen, large deck overlooking the lake with hot tub, and grill. First floor master bedroom with ensuite bath, upstairs, two queen bedrooms with one jack/ jill bath and one queen and one full bedroom with shared hall bath. Billiard room right off the main living area with additional seating area as well. Open concept for dining, kitchen, and living room area. Laundry room and half bath close to open areas, and close to the deck and hot tub.
The deck overlooks a private cove off of the main section of the lake. The cove allows for fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, and kayaking without too much boat traffic.

This is a beautiful well maintained property. The owners have put a lot of thought into the amenities and had everything we needed for our long weekend. There is a lake view filtered through the trees and a nice deck and hot tub. The location was convenient to state parks, restaurants and the grocery store. Very comfortable beds and lots of seating. Highly recommend!

A perfect vacation spot for a group! We loved how quiet the neighborhood was, but still located close to stores, restaurants, etc. The house was spacious and had what we needed for cooking and hanging out, including a massive couch and a large kitchen. The host was very responsive when we had questions.One note on the dock/water - it's just a few minutes walk down to the water, but difficult for those with mobility issues because of steepness and tree roots. Having the dock was nice - we were able to rent kayaks and paddle them to/from the house for use during our stay.

Home away from home

This is our 6th summer staying at Rita's house and we just love it. It truly feels like our second home. She is very easy to work with and stays in touch to make sure we have everything we need. The house is really well stocked, in the kitchen which we love because we cook most nights. The view from the deck is so beautiful and the surrounding wooded area and creek make it feel very peaceful and private. Just a little path down to the lake and we spend most of the time in the water at the dock. We will continue to visit this home and would recommend it to everyone!

We had a great time at Deep Creek Lake. The house location was perfect - the cove was calm and great for swimming, and we made good use of the dock slip by bringing our boat. Was easy to get to McHenry and associated kids activities. Would absolutely stay there again!

this is our 5th year staying at this property and we absolutely love it! Rita is great and so responsive. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The path through the woods to the lake with the little cove for our kids to tube and swim in is perfect and away from the craziness of all of the boats. Amazing getaway!

This house was much larger than the photos show, but everything else was amazing. We loved how the pool room was on the same level as the rest of the house. The hot tub was great and there was plenty of room for everyone. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot to celebrate Christmas with scattered family members! Clean, comfortable home with great layout in a beautiful setting. Kitchen is well stocked and worked well to have a few of us cooking. We enjoyed games, walks to the lake and in the neighborhood. Great communication with the owner. We made great memories here!

Detach-Getaway!

Great house, spacious kitchen, good sized rooms and beautiful views! You can relax by the fireplace, or in the hot tub looking at the lake or shoot pool- whatever way you relax there is something for you! Host also communicates very well and is very accomedating.

Beautiful, clean home!

Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous home! Everything was sparkling clean, and the house was exactly as pictured and described. We enjoyed using the pool table and hot tub as we hung out at home, and we were so close to Wisp Resort. The owner was available and communicative before and during our stay. We are already looking into coming back to stay at this lovely house again!

Perfect Vacation

Rita was prompt, professional, and friendly. The house was very well stocked, maintained, and comfortable. The surroundings were amazing - sitting on the deck amongst the trees, with a small view of the lake - was perfect for relaxing. The cove was fantastic for the kids to swim. Being at the end of a long road offered quiet and seclusion. All in all we had an amazing vacation, which very much had to do with this rental and the owner.

Deep Creek Getaway

Second year in a row we have stayed at this beautiful property. Our children loved playing in the stream and swimming from the dock into the lake. The dock is on a wonderful inlet that has great boat access and is perfect for swimming, fishing and paddle boarding. House was immaculate and has a great kitchen and family area. Wonderful Host and Wonderful Stay

We had an amazing trip at this home. For starters, Rita was the most incredible host- unbelievably responsive and attentive. The home is great- comfortable, clean, spacious and well stocked. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. meals on the deck. We loved the hot tub. The kitchen has everything!!! It's at the end of a quiet cul de sac with a beautiful creek right by the house. There are basketball hoops on the street that the kids loved- weren't any cars. The home is very close to nearby attractions and shopping. We went axe throwing one day when it rained. The shared dock was basically private, as no one else was there, and it's on a quiet cove on the lake. Perfect for swimming and kayaking, and the kids loved it. You need to walk past 3 homes to get to the dock- a charming 3 minute walk. Overall this place is fantastic. book it!!

Home away from home

This was our 4th year staying here and we just love it! It’s the perfect spot for our kids as they can play in the creek and get into the lake as there is a little shallow part. It’s a beautiful well kept house and Rita makes sure you have everything you will need! The kitchen is so well stocked, it is easy for us to cook meals as we always have everything we need. Rita is so easy to communicate with and she is extremely responsive to any questions or requests. We will continue to vacation here as long as she will let us!!

Family vacation

Our time at Shadybrook was wonderful. When we arrived, the house was in immaculate condition, and simple items such as toilet paper, tissues, and trash bags were there! With 3 cooks the kitchen was a dream relative to other vacation houses we’ve stayed at. There was ample cookware, and a drawer of spices which we loved. The living area was conducive to family time, and the back deck was perfect. The walkway next to the house with the little stream was so soothing. The check-in was a breeze! We would highly recommend Shadybrook as a vacation home, and would consider staying here in the future.

Beautiful home with golf girls

A group of ladies came to play golf and see the colors of Fall at Deep Creek Lake and our stay at Shadybrook was amazing. The house is beautiful along with all the rooms and furnishings. There is plenty of room for families with children or adults with a large group!! The kitchen had anything you would need to cook with along with spices, coffee makers, abundance of dishes and glasses. Fully stocked!! The owner is wonderful and available to answer questions whenever needed. Can't say enough good things about this rental!! We will definately be back!!

Perfect Winter Getaway

This house is beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay during COVID. The owner was so responsive and caring, which made us feel safe staying there given COVID restrictions and a snowstorm. As we actually worked and went to school during this time, I have to mention that the WiFi was perfect! The house itself, with amazing views of woods and lake was comfortable and had everything we needed for family meals, and hanging out playing pool and in the hot tub. We were there during significant snow, so enjoyed hiking down to the lake, and just playing on the property. Wisp and grocery store are close yet we felt "away from it all." We so look forward to going back in other seasons!

New kitchen, large deck overlooking the lake, short walk to the lake, semi-private dock.
Equipped and supplied with things needed like, ice, wood, gas for grill, soaps, TP, PT ect.,
so that you can easily start your vacation as soon as you arrive.

What makes this property unique

The house is located at the end of a road, the cove is nice in that you won't have the boat traffic you would have on the main part of the lake. The stream allows for a peaceful and tranquil setting. The semi private dock is nice in that you most likely can find some time that you can be alone and enjoy the peace of the cove.
Also, the sun hits the dock most of the day, which is good as the water can be cool as the nearby stream falls into the lake at that point. The water supplied by the stream helps keep the water in the cove clear and clean as well. The house sits in the woods which supplies refuge from the sun if you need it. Note: the temperature on the deck will be cooler than the dock temperature. So don't be fooled that it may be too cold to swim. The dock temperature tends to be at least 5 degrees warmer than the deck when the suns out.
