Remodeled cottage-style retreat on quiet canal w/ private deck.. Awesome canal AND river views.
Come enjoy a leisurely stroll on the beach, a refreshing swim in the pool(s), or some family activities around Nettles or the surrounding area. There is always something to keep you busy at Nettles.
Included: cable, internet access, TV, DVD player, towels, linens, beach towels.
Nettles Island is a gated resort community with 24/7 manned security that has a private beach with a large heated pool, restrooms, showers and snack bar. Off the beach is a another club house that has large heated pool, hot tub, exercise room, game room with pool table and ping pong, miniature golf, basketball, racquetball/handball tennis courts, shuffle board, horse shoes and snack bar. The island also has a boat launching ramp and a dog walking area that has beautiful water views.
Also located on Nettles Island are a marina, grocery store, hair salon and restaurant.
Nettles Island is located in Jensen Beach Florida in area known as the Treasure Coast.
Public airports are West Palm (45mins) and Fort Lauderdale (1.5hours) Miami (2hours) and Orlando (2 hours).

The cottage was just as cute as the photos. Every thing we needed was right at our fingertips. Most efficient use of space. Amenities on the Island were great. Hostess was very helpful and informative. I will be telling all my friends!

Little Piece of Peace

Our daughter and family appreciated the cleanliness and nicely stocked kitchen. They also liked the location, having furniture on the dock for morning coffee. Also enjoyed the golf cart for getting around the park and to the beach.

Nice outside seating area.

This trailer was on one of the canals and had a nice location! Enjoyed sitting outside on the water and watching the fish jumping and swimming along. It is small and was OK for one person, but was tight for over 2 people.

More Than Enough

Thank you for trusting me, a stranger, with your little house. The house had everything and more to meet our needs durning our 8 day get-away. We loved everything about Nettles Island. I even won a game of BINGO. I would stay here again and again.

Everything that it promises.

Couldn’t have been more happy with our accommodations. Arrived on the island and checking in was a breeze. We found the home to be spotless with lovely appointed beach themes throughout. Any questions we had were answered by Dianna (the owner) immediately. The location is on the canal with beautiful views of the Indian river. We loved the beach front pool too. We will definitely be returning to this jewel !

Exceptional property

We stayed at this property in April 2022, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Check-in was so quick and easy with a lock-box. The property was spotless, and included extras such as a kayak to use, golf cart, and so many household extras that made the stay more comfortable such as coffee, some health and beauty products, etc. The communication with the owner was also fast and so pleasant! We will definitely book again!

Perfect getaway from cold weather

The Nettles Island property did not disappoint! This was the third property that we stayed at on this winter getaway and it was the best equipped and in a great area. We sat at the table on the canal watching the pelicans dive for their meals. Each morning I was able to take long walks with our dog around the resort. We took the golf cart (definitely a perk) across the highway to the beach, again bringing the dog. Everything was perfect. The property host was very responsive when questions came up. We enjoyed it so much we are staying here again next year.

Another wonderful stay!

Sometimes it pains me to write a glowing review of a property. I really do not want everyone to know about a good find, and that is the case here. This was the second year that we have stayed at this property and we booked it again for next year. A nice clean place with an outside deck on the canal. The washer, dryer and golf cart are an added plus. The host responds very quickly to any questions. The Nettles is a great resort with so much to offer (two pools, a beach, bocce, pickleball, mini golf, the list goes on and on). Add the friendliness of the people on the island and it adds up to a great vacation spot.

Oasis on the water

The moment I walked into the unit I knew I was going to be happy. It was clean, neat, and cozy. I love to fish so being able to go out the door and drop a line in the lagoon was heaven, and doing so while having my morning coffee. Having use of the golf cart was another gold star! All the appliances were great and the kitchen had everything I needed. Diana was very accommodating and promptly answered any questions I had. I am definitely looking forward to next year. Thank you Diana for all your kindness and consideration.

Fun Vacation

Place is as described. Golf cart was great to have. Met all our needs except for one. We only had 2 passes and there were four of us. Asked owner to get us two more and was told she would try to have someone drop them off but we never got them. We managed with two but it caused an issue a few times. Other than that communication with owner was very good. Had a great time with family.

Labor Day Staycation

Overall a great little place. Diana was an excellent host, and communication was GREAT! The kitchen, while small, you could cook almost any meal. The community is great- pools, beach, mini golf, fishing, plenty to do! Having an included golf cart was awesome! Being right on the canal was awesome: I caught snook and snapper right out the door. The bad, and it’s not bad, but for a small family with a dog, the space was small. Normally with the community amenities it wouldn’t matter, but we were stuck with the weather from a passing hurricane and forced inside. The shower stall is small and for a person with size, it could be hard to shower. The back dock could use a little love- table and chairs were a little worn by the weather, and the deck had some stains that with some rust away and elbow grease would be gone. But let’s be honest, Diana is a great host, and nettles is meant for outside amenities, the pools and beach are second to none! None of the bad outweighs the good! We enjoyed our stay, and would stay again! Thanks so much for having us!

Excellent getaway on a beautiful, quiet beach.

Had a great time staying at this property. The amenities provided at the location and on Nettles Island were excellent and made for a completely relaxing beach vacation. We loved that this rental came with access to a golf cart because that is a great way to get around Nettles Island. The amenities are available to guests and include pools, beach access, and recreation facilities. Everything in the listing was accurate and well represented. We knew exactly what to expect when we arrived and we were not disappointed. Check in was super simple and the hosts contacted me a day ahead to let me know how to check in and get settled. Check in at the front gate was quick and easy and the security staff was always very friendly and had a definite presence on the island to make sure things stayed peaceful and well maintained. The shops were handy to have since grocery locations aren’t prevalent on the island and if you have forgotten something it makes it easy to grab at the general store. There is also a restaurant, dog spa, and massage spa. The area is dog friendly. Nettles Island has a dog walk area and they can be walked around the island as well. (Keep in mind you’ll need to register them with the island so be sure to bring shot records along with you.) There is a off leash dog beach within a 10 min drive and it has plenty of space to allow them to play in the surf and along the beach. It was well maintained and included a restroom and a dog wash area in the parking lot. The access to beaches in unparalleled. Drive up and down the island and you can stop at a number of parks with free access to the beach, plenty of parking, and often restroom facilities. Generally areas of the state with this much beachfront property are highly congested and expensive to park and use the facilities. That is not the case at all here. The island is near silent and traffic is non existent. There were times we visited different beaches and didn’t see another human in sight. This does mean that there aren’t a ton of restaurants or shops right on the island, but there are plenty for a vacation and on either end of the island you can cross over the river and find a lot of options. Hutchinson has become one of our favorite locations on the east coast of Florida and I am sure we will return many times in the future.
