Modern, 1000 sq. ft. coach house with spectacular sunrise, ocean and mountain views. A private space, surrounded by nature in a desirable residential area. Steps from the beach with spectacular ocean and mountain views. If you rise early enough, you will experience an ever changing sunrise that will take your breath away. Interior space features a fully stocked, modern kitchen with an open living space and large windows to capture the view from every room. Outdoor, wrap-around patio adds an extra 400 sq. ft. of outdoor living space, parts of which are covered including BBQ and seating area or use for extra storage for gear or shelter for pets. Propane fire pit on deck allows for year round use. West coast vibe with rustic fir vaulted ceilings, luxurious bathroom with cheater entrance from master into bathing space with separate tub and walk-in shower. Fresh, good quality linens. King bed in master and queen bed in second bedroom. Smart tv's in both master bedroom and living space with free wi-fi and netflix. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Home away from home

We had an excellent stay. The accommodation was clean with all amenities. The hostess went out of her way to be accommodating. This place is beautiful with a great view of passing cruise ships. The wild blackberries growing in the yard were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice relaxing holiday.

Awesome ocean views in Comox Vally

We had a great time at Alder’s Beach House! It’s close to the ocean with beautiful views and nice cool breezes, and easy to get to beaches and hiking. The coach house is clean, modern and has everything you need. A great place to escape the summer heat!

Our month in Courtenay!

We had a fabulous stay of 4 weeks (!) in Courtenay in this beautiful and very comfortable house. Great views, with everything we needed, and great neighbours (the owners). Great value for money, we’re certainly coming back!

Special home special location

Everything was so streamlined and welcoming. The host was responsive. The property was extremely well equipped and comfortable. Elegance and comfort were the guiding principles it seems to me in making this vacation spot so amenable. Many thanks for sharing Alder House with us.

Lovely Peaceful Stay

We had a lovely peaceful time at Alder’s Beach House. The area is a paradise of beauty with amazing views and sunrises that you won’t quickly forget. The house is comfy with all you need for a comfortable stay. Our desire was quiet and away from the hustle of the city. It is the perfect spot to rejuvenate. Thank you for making us feel so welcome Christine, it was truly a pleasure.
