About this property

The Rocky Top Cabin has an incredible, covered deck with a dinette set with a spectacular view looking into a 500 foot deep canyon we are built on the ridge of. The cabin has two private bedrooms and a third queen bed in a spacious loft. Has a private bath with shower. Complete with a full kitchen, with 4 burner stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, programable coffee maker. All dishes, pots, pans and BBQ Tools provided. Included in rate for 4 people, we provide farm fresh eggs, local Canadian Bacon, locally roasted coffee, fresh berries, biscuit dough, honey, butter, jam. We are happy to change items out to accommodate dietary preferences, IE Gluten free, vegetarian, Vegan etc. The Rocky Top Cabin also has a Weber BBQ Grill that we provide the charcoal and lighter fluid for your grilling pleasure. There is also a private picnic table. This is one of our pet friendly cabins. We ask for an additional cleaning fee per pet/per night. We also enjoy providing some treats for your 4 legged family member to feel like they are on holiday too!

Sister's Weekend

I reserved this cabin for a sister's weekend. The cabin was very cozy. We loved sitting on the deck every morning !s we drank our coffee and watched the deer come up and eat the deer corn supplied by the hosts. The breakfast items they provided were perfect.

Rocky Top Cabin

The Rocky Top Cabin was PERFECT for our stay! It was so cute and cozy and fit us all perfectly. The views from our patio were amazing and the hosts were so kind and responsive! The breakfast provided was very yummy and we had a great time. We would come back!!

Welcome! We are Carl and Rhonda Rubadue. Semi-New to the Hill Country of Texas from the Intermountain West. This is Rhonda’s first journey to live outside of the area she grew up in. Carl has lived in Ohio, Tennessee, California and all over the Intermountain West. We are both excited to live in and get to know this beautiful hill country of Texas!
After working behind a desk for decades as a Human Resources professional, Rhonda decided she was searching for something new. While Carl worked in the hospitality industry as a Chef opening ski resorts, restaurants, healthcare, bars and grocery stores, he was looking to have more time to spend with Rhonda and slow it down a bit. On our first visit, to Walnut Canyon Cabins, we knew it was the right place to achieve our dream!
We have 2 great boys, two wonderful daughter-in-laws, and two grandchildren.
We look forward to meeting all y’all as you are exploring this wonderful area known as “the Hill Country”.
