Love this place!
We absolutely love this place. This was our third time here and we wouldn't consider going anywhere else. It's like coming home. The cabin is cozy, fairly well stocked, the dog LOVES the backyard, love the layout. Quiet and peaceful, off the beaten path. Highly recommend.

Great 4th of July Weekend
We decided at the last minute to book a family trip to Big Bear Lake, CA for the 4th of July. While on the way there we learned there was a permit issue with property we originally booked. Thankfully, the staff at Big Bear Cool Cabins remedied the issue quickly and provided us with an upgraded cabin for the weekend. Our stay from that point ended up being great! The cabin itself was excellent and had everything for us to enjoy our stay. Would highly recommend Big Bear Cool Cabins to anyone looking for a extended stay in Big Bear Lake.

Big Bear Cool Cabins
I did a lot of research to find a place with a backyard, wood burning fireplace, great TV for movie watching and close proximity to the lake. This met all those requirements at a reasonable price. It's a nice cabin overall, there's definitely some details that were overlooked - spots that clearly hadn't been cleaned/dusted in months, lamps that didn't turn on, dishes that were only semi-clean etc. It was just my husband and I with our small dog and that worked well, but I think adding anymore adults, it would feel tight. Cool Cabins manages it and they were responsive, but it was kind of inconvenient to have to go to their office to check-in before getting to the cabin.

Hi Chelsey,
Thank you for staying with us and leaving a review. We appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, it's a city ordinance that requires the office check-in and we are unable to contest that at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can provide you with a better stay next time. Thank You,
Big Bear Cool Cabins.
There was sewage in the tub when we checked in. Mainline drain was completely clogged causing sewage to back up into the only bathtub and eventually into the toilet. Issues can happen, we understand. It just ruined our intended stay even after reciving a new rental. Ended up leaving a day early.

Little Big Bear
The check-in process was not well organized. I prefer to work on the computer and not the phone for check-in. Furthermore, there is NOT an option to NOT use electronic media to check-in. The home was mostly clean and comfortable. The lightening is dim but sufficient. Since the air is not able to be used to cool the home, only fans are in the home. There is only ONE good fan that worked well. The little box fans are extremely loud and do not work well. So, it was uncomfortable. The second bedroom only has one plug, and it did not work well. The fan kept going off. Plus, the fan had to be close to the beds because the plug was on the wall facing the front of the beds. The backyard view is very pretty.

Big Bear Cool Cabins
This was the perfect “quarantine” getaway for our family of 5 plus dog. The very spacious and fully-fenced backyard was our dog’s happy place. We got lucky with timing and our kids 4-11 yrs old enjoyed sledding and building a snowmen in the snow! Would be nice in Summer, too. Inside was small but open layout made good use of small space. Loved the kitchen island. One of the barstools was broken so I notified property management and no problems other than that. Bedrooms were spacious and large enough to fit our large dog crate. Lots of extra blankets were around to keep us warm since the main heater is in the living room. The room heaters were just ok but the comfy beds and extra blankets made for a good night’s sleep. Thank you. We would book this property again.

Hi Shoko,
Thank you for staying with us and leaving a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to host you stay again :)
A great place to get away to a modern cabin that carries the traditional styling you would find in a cabin. Clean and well laid out. The large fenced yard was great for my dog to roam without worry and us to relax . Neighbors aren’t stacked right next to you and are very quiet. Overall a wonderful stay for our first cabin rental since losing our own.
Only downs are simple:
Wood for fireplace is not included
Dishwasher was broken and it looked like for some time so hand washing dishes by the renters leave a lot to be desired for clean cookware.
I feel like the advertisement said washer/dryer but I could be wrong.
I would definitely recommend staying here and my family would stay here again. Thank you owners for sharing your piece of big bear!

Extremely dissapointed
I am extremely disappointed by the results we got of a relaxing getaway. The cabins WIFI did NOT work I was unable to get work done, we could not enjoy the patio due to the spider webs and pollon. When we showed up the house was extremely hot, there was provocative messages on the chalkboard, the house lost power, and while making breakfast there were ants crawling across the kitchen. Not a place I want to bring my kids.
