About this property

Work and Play Retreat - High Speed WiFi - 30 Day min. stay - Incredible Views

Read the reviews of guests that have utilized this special cabin, over the last few years, as the ideal retreat after a day of winter outdoor recreation or in the summer months, as a great escape and homebase for adventure, as well as "work from home" with our high internet speeds.

With half a dozen world class Summit County ski resorts just 30-40 minutes drive, and any number of outdoor summer activities just minutes from the front door you can't beat this location as a best-of-both worlds as you escape the crowds each evening from winter skiing and have a true summer home away from home.

Heeney based snowmobiling is just a 5 minute drive for even more handy fun and adventure! Watch or join in the ice fishing that takes places each winter on Green Mountain Reservoir.

Summer brings world class fishing, hiking, boating, paddle boarding, canoeing, Silverthorne town restaurants and activities, summertime fun at the resorts of Keystone and several others, along with an incredibly peaceful cabin with large deck and absolutely stunning lake views and frequent rainbows.
Fall is magical on every level here, as well.

As you turn off Highway 9 on to Heeney Road you will literally feel the stresses of the world melting away. The idyllic settings along this windy mountain road are a more intimate continuation of the scenic ride and vistas you've already been enjoying along your drive into the high country. Mountains and Otter Creek ranch, hiking to lower and upper Cataract lakes to one side, cows at pasture, large open meadows, and the lake below it all on the other. Once you are on the lake you are wowed by 360 views.

From one of the best view spots on the lake you find yourself transported into modern lake cabin charm and comfort at the Silver Sunset cabin. Rich wood tones envelope you from the tongue and groove ceilings with beams to the teak wood flooring and rustic wood accents. A window seat and huge viewing window, large sliding doors and great deck ensure exposure to the serene views, sunrises, sunsets, shadows playing on the hills across the reservoir, fox visitors, local bird life, deer and other wildlife.

A highly efficient real wood burning fireplace adds warms and glow to your mornings or evenings and supplements a modern forced air heating system. An open floor plan and full entertainment center allows for more enjoyment possibilities.

A full kitchen with new appliances awaits your simply delicious or creative gourmet cookery. Everything you need, a blender, crock pot, full range and oven, microwave, spices, oils and dishwasher for clean up along with a beautiful modern refrigerator.

A washer and dryer are handy for cleaning up after adventures as well as the shower and tub in the full, charming as all get out, bathroom.

Bedrooms with dressers, two nightstands each, bedside lighting, beds with quality, cozy, clean bedding, closets and carpet beneath your feet make for gems of rooms that are little retreats within themselves.

If you are treated to watching a storm blow in with all it's majesty upon the lake you will even enjoy the sound of rain on the new metal roof, in summer, and often a rainbow.

In the winter you will feel enveloped in nature's own painting of the extreme beauty of magical snowscapes with serene views from your cozy spot.

Come stay and play with us. As a team, owners Mark and Autumn make themselves highly available to ensure a perfect stay.
