Great stay in wonderful location!

Backyard is divine, with plenty of indoor space for us to relax and hangout. Quick drive to the beach, restaurants, grocery and liquor store!

Family vacation

We loved this space! Having two littles was a bit nerve wracking but it worked out great! Beds were comfy and the house was super clean. The outdoor area was wonderful!

Great location. Lots of room. Great outdoor area, large pool and pool deck. Had some maintenance issues with plumbing and air but they jumped on it immediately and corrected the issue. Perfect location, lots to do in the area, walking distance to restaurants. A few minutes drive to the beach. Family loved it.

Brief Holiday

We will absolutely be booking through them, and this property again in the future. The property manager was extremely communicative and helpful and guiding us as we prepared for our first family vacation with kids. He made great recommendations on where to go for certain items to make sure we had everything that we needed. Overall a great experience, great property, and great vacation!

Perfect family vacation!

The pool! Wow! It's so warm and so wonderful. There's plenty of outdoor seating in both the sun and shade if you want it. The owners were very hospitable and responsive. This home is wonderfully situated for a multi generational family vacation!

Spent Thanksgiving with my family. Home was cosy and so comfortable. Living room area had great seating so we could all be together. Kitchen well equipped. The best part was the patio/ pool area. Ate every meal outside. Great lightning for night swimming and grilling

Great family spot!

This is well loved home! Plenty of space for hanging out, plenty of room to sleep and the pool was AMAZING for our family. We spent most of our time in the water as traffic is pretty heavy around this area. The Publix is so close! Made it easy to get food there and the kids didn’t have to leave the pool. Private bedroom in the back was great for grandparents. It would be nice to have a tv in the back private suite. We had a wonderful stay!!!!

Fabulous Property!

My husband and I, and adult children ages 21 and 23, rented this home from Dec 21-26 from the LeBlancs. The house is fabulous! The outdoor space is spectacular and our favorite feature of the house! Close proximity to grocery store, Target and restaurants and quick drive / Uber to beach and Las Olas. Owners and property manager were extremely responsive!

We had a great time!

Our 9 days long stay at the Villa was great! There are many positive things about the house and property, but for us the garden and pool area are the best (beside the fact, that the weather was not that perfect to enjoy the pool everyday ;-) ). The house is very functional with a large living room, perfect kitchen and 3 bedrooms. Bedrooms were fine, had three queen size beds, 2 of them with futon beds. The bathrooms were completely clean and functional, "fully loaded" with towels for us (4 adults). Lastly the location is ideal. You can get to Las Olas in less than ten minutes, beach in under 5 minutes, tons of places to eat, grocery store Publix is one minute away, etc pp... Getting to downtown Miami takes less than 45 minutes. The owners are very responsive and worked with us during the reservation and the time we were there. Very nice people! I would highly recommend this place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home.

From listening to tunes by the pool, spending a day on the beach or hitting the town - this spot is perfect. We cooked in the kitchen, BBQ'd on the deck, swam in the pool and everything in between. The best part was how comfortable you feel - you're own little piece of Florida for the duration of your stay. We could walk to the grocery store and liquor store in minutes and if pubs/bars are you're thing - there are a few good ones in walking distance - Tatt & Tacos was one of our favourites. You can also take Uber wherever you want to go that is too far to walk - the beach, downtown etc., but it was very comforting knowing we had a home base to relax in. The neighbourhood is quiet, and I'm sure the only noise at night was 4 of us Canadians streaming NHL playoffs by the pool. Which is another great point - wifi was excellent. I had a few quick questions for Paul (owner) when I was there and he got back to be within minutes. As a group of friends travelling together - this was the perfect set up. We had our own space to get away, and tons of space to enjoy together. We'll be back.

As Advertised

It's always great when there are few, if any, bad surprises involved with a VRBO rental. Our experience with the Resort and its owners was devoid of "uh-ohs." April and Paul responded quickly to all our inquiries and made sure we were happy with our accommodations...they were both very easy to work with. The home is a) clean; b) quiet and c) roomy. It was perfect for our family of four. The kitchen is well stocked, offering everything one needs to cook-in (along with a new gas grill on the patio we used twice) and the living room and mood room made relaxing easy. The pool is the centerpiece of the home and we enjoyed using it. It is kept clean and warm for winter swims and was a great amenity. The beach is a quick drive down Oakland Park Avenue. We appreciated the cooler, the beach umbrella, beach towels and beach chairs on hand at the house, and even donated a new chair to the mix. Publix, Fresh Market and a Target store are very close by...less than five minutes away. A run to the Galleria mall in Fort Lauderdale was an easy destination down Bayview Drive, as were waterside restaurants to our south. We recommend West Palm airport (PBI) as it is much easier to navigate and possibly quicker to the house (35-45 minutes) than FLL depending on traffic. If you're looking for a home-based getaway in a quiet neighborhood with a relaxed setting, this is your place. We would love to return.

Oasis in Oakland, FL (Ft. Lauderdale)

What a fantastic property! Absolutely private oasis replete with palm, banana trees and a friendly iguana family. Pool area offers 2 alfresco dining options, lounge chairs, and two sofa's for total relaxation. The outdoor area also includes a grill patio. Outdoor lighting adds to the ambiance and party atmosphere. The home itself is as described with 2 super beautiful and well appointed bedrooms (one with en suite bath and the other with across the hall bath). The 3rd bedroom is off of the chef's kitchen with an en suite bath and private entrance from pool deck. The kitchen was well stocked and includes a blender for all your frozen favorites. We had a BBQ party one night for our family and 5 ballplayers from my son's college and we had plenty of room to all sit down outside and plenty of plates, cutlery, etc. There is ample parking for 2 large vehicles. You can walk less then 1/4 mile to the super market, Target and places to eat. Two of the kids long boarded to the beach (access at Galt by the Taverna) and I walked the 2.4 miles across the intercostal. We enjoyed a snorkeling tour and stand up paddle boards at Lauderdale by the Sea. Highly recommend. Go early and you can literally see the reef below. A must do experience if you are over 21 is to walk the 3/4 mile to the Funky Buddha Brewery and take the tour. A fun, informative and thirst quenching tour! I can't say enough about how helpful both Paul & April were in our trip planning. They were supported by their local and well informed representative, Jonathan, who was the bomb! I highly recommend this property and we will return again!

Disappointing

I will start by saying that this was our 4th stay in South Florida via VRBO. Until now, the description of the property were pretty much spot-on. However, this time was a disappointing exception. The pictures do not tell the true story. First of all, the property needs an immediate renovation/renewal. The kitchen cabinets are falling apart, the paint is peeling all over the property, the appliances are at least 25 years old and the mattresses have lost all their firmness. The sofa and rug in the living room are worn out and haven’t been steam cleaned in years. If that was not enough, we found the property in FILTHY condition upon arrival - the kitchen was dirty, the cabinets and countertop were terribly greasy. The floors all over the house were sticky and the closets had so much dust in them, that we refrained from unpacking our belongings. The kitchen had rugs that had oil and grease stains. The shower in the master bedroom was clogged. I will note that when we contacted Jonathan, the property manager, he reacted swiftly and sent a cleaning crew and plumber the next day. The cleaners worked for 2-3 hours to clean the residence. We had them remove the rugs and cover the sofas with clean sheets. However, it should have not come to this. Finally, I will note that the outdoor facilities were gorgeous! The pool was clean and heated. I think that if the owner were to invest in renewing the house, it would be a true gem. Until then, this definitely NOT a premier property.

Very Nice!

We were looking for a house to rent in the Ft Lauderdale area for the month of September. We wanted a nice pool and inside entertaining space, a good location, and a quiet setting with reliable internet to facilitate working remote for the month. This house is lovely and exactly as pictured. There are many updates throughout including updated bathrooms. The furniture is all in very good condition, the kitchen is fairly big, nicely provisioned and updated. This is a large home. The common spaces are able to accommodate a larger group if needed, and the storage is far more than ample for any renter. The cable and internet worked great and I used the media room as my office for the month. The French doors there worked out very well to allow me to concentrate on my calls during the day while others went about their day enjoying the rest of the house. The beds in all three bedrooms are comfortable, and the quiet subdivision was very nice for getting good sleep. We enjoyed the pool nearly every day of our stay. The pool was bigger than expected with depths that ran from 3 to 7 feet deep. There is a pool service that checks it and vacuums it twice a week. The plants both inside the fenced pool area and in the other parts of the yard are beautiful. Since we were there in arguably the hottest month of the year, having the pergola to provide shade to some areas was most welcome. We found the location of this property to be perfect for our purposes. There are several grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, butcher, fish market, pharmacy, etc. very close by. It is literally just a minute or two to cross the inter coastal and reach A1A and the ocean, but you are not dealing with the traffic and noise that you would have to contend with if you stayed on the island. The owners, April and Paul LeBlanc, wanted to make sure everything was going well and contacted us several times via text during our stay. Any questions or issues were answered or addressed very quickly. It was nice to have that personal touch from the owners even though they have a local management service for rental oversight.

Great house/pool/outdoor area - poor communication

The property was very good overall. The outdoor space we used extensively during all hours of the day and it was just excellent! The house was well appointed, had some good space, plenty of beds/options to host two families and we enjoyed the location. There was NO communication from Evolve Travel, who manages the property locally until 10 minutes prior to our check in time for the home which was maddening after we'd arrived in South Florida hours earlier. The only other negative was the outdoor grill had 2 of 4 burners working. Overall, great home, pool, amenities and location.

My family of six enjoyed staying in this home for five nights. The pool was perfect, there was plenty of space, the neighborhood was nice, and beds were comfortable. We would love to visit again sometime!
