We stayed at Heidtke House as a place to stay close to downtown Nashville. This was the perfect location as it was quick to get everywhere. The house was beautiful and John and Ellen are great hosts that go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I definitely recommend this house and would stay there again.

Very nice place, we enjoyed it!

It is a very nice size; clean and well maintained. The back yard is large and it was nice to sit out there. You can hear the traffic on the main road, and there are a lot of sirens! Overall, the location was very convenient for us, and we enjoyed our stay there.

Lovely Home & Great Location!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while seeing all the highlights of Nashville. Due to weather, our plane had been diverted & so we were delayed a bit. What a wonderful welcome it was to finally arrive at the Heidtke House! The location was perfect, being close to the airport, yet far enough out of the hustle and bustle of downtown to allow for a peaceful stay. The green grass & trees were much appreciated after touring the big concrete jungle all day. I can't say enough good things about the owners. They were top notch professionals, and very courteous, kind and prompt with all communications. The inside of the house was very clean and orderly & had all the comforts of home. Everything was perfect, and I would highly recommend this property versus staying in the downtown area. We rented a small vehicle, but this home is so close to everything that it would have been really easy and affordable to make use of Uber in order to get to & from your destination. It was a wonderful getaway & we really appreciate how awesome this place was!

Loved the home!

We loved our stay! Home was clean, well stocked, and in a really nice neighborhood. It was comfortable and perfect for a family get away. We loved being close to many things, including the Party Fowl! John was great and welcoming, including leaving a bottle of wine. Would not hesitate to recommend this home.

Football trip

The stay here was fantastic. All you can ask for. Beautiful home clean , secure and a safe area. You are just 10 mins away from downtown by vehicle. The home has everything you would need for your stay. Around you there are various place to eat, grocery store is near by. Definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for accommodations in Nashville. Tour the city and when you come back sit back and chill in the backyard with a firepit, and barbeque. Cheers

Elderly Parents Trip

We brought our 80 something year old parents to Nashville for a long weekend. They had never been before. Your house was a wonderful "home base" for us to come back to. It was very comfortable for all of us and we had plenty of room. We would definitely come and stay again. John was also so friendly and helpful.

I have rented many a places and will stet to stay here every time in Nashville. Great location. Easy access everywhere even during the CMAfest. Great restaurants you can walk to that multiple uber drivers recommended. They said they drive folks from all over town to them. House was awesome. Owners were even better. Highly recommend as a must stay in Nashville.

Beautiful home and great location

We had an amazing time. John and Ellen’s home is immaculate and had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy and plenty of towels. Location is just the right distance to get away from Broadway and the noise/crowds. Uber’s were easy to get and got us downtown in about 10 mins. John was super responsive and had loads of suggestions on where to go and what to do- as well as restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Nashville. Thank you John and Ellen for hosting us in your lovely home.

Excellent location

The house is perfect for a family vacation. The home had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, Kitchen well stocked with utensils, Coffee bar, a welcoming backyard. The location is close to airport, Broadway, and many other Nashville sites to visit and eat. We traveled an hour away to see the beautiful waterfalls. The homeowners care about your vacation. I received a call my first night and was asked if we needed anything and if everything was ok. We highly recommend this home.

Mother plus 3 daughters trip!

A fabulous place to stay! My 3 adult daughters and myself each had our own bedroom. Plenty of linens were provided and even refreshments and snacks to get us started. John the owner just a text message away and helpful hints always shared. A beautiful home surrounded by green grass and trees. We loved Nashville! Used Mr Uber a lot to safely return from each days adventure. Bluebird Cafe, Grandole Opry… Hermitage, Ryman…. Tootsies! Highly recommend Heidtke House!

Great Property, Location and Hosts

The Heidtke House property helped make our time in Nashville an outstanding experience. From the moment we booked the property through our stay John, the host, was super responsive to questions and provided great recommendations and advice for restaurants and attractions. The house location was far enough from downtown and in a great neighborhood so we could get a respite from the business of downtown Nashville but still close enough for easy access via Uber/Lyft. When we come back to Nashville Heidtke House will be our first choice for accommodations. We will also be recommending it to any of our friends that visit Nashville. Thanks John and Ellen for helping us make a great family memory with our adult children in Nashville!

I often joke with others that I am one of the 12 born-and-raised Nashvillians that still live in Nashville!

I grew up on a farm in Nashville TN. Raising horses, goats and going to fairs to show our Shorthorn cattle has occupied my earlier years. I am currently managing IT in a software company which has an office in the Tampa Bay Area. When I am not pounding on the keyboard, I involve myself in renovating houses, gardening, cooking, and entertaining friends and family.

My wife Ellen was born in China, a true city girl, her interests are more into fashion & Electrical Engineering. She came to the states to research high-voltage transmission, but I really think she came here to find me and my secret BBQ recipes ☺

We love to travel together and have been to Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Vancouver... Everywhere we go, we try to stay away from hotels, staying with locals is way more interesting.

Nashville is a very southern but also culturally diverse city, it offers amazing food and cultural experiences from across the globe. There are wonderful cultural events (many for free) and restaurants to explore.
