About this property
The Sherman House in historic downtown Williams, with cozy wood-burning stove.
The Sherman Home is located right in downtown Williams, AZ. The home features central heat and a wood-burning stove. It is a few minutes' walking distance from historic Route 66 and the Grand Canyon Railway station. Williams, AZ, is the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, located on Interstate 40 and just a 30-minute drive to the City of Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon Railroad, also called the Polar Express at Christmas time, is walking distance, 3 blocks away from this wonderful home. This is a perfect location to explore the Grand Canyon , Historic RT66, Bearizona, the Deer Farm, downtown Williams, Bill Williams Mountain, and miles of roads, hiking, and biking trails in the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine Forest in the world, Coconino National Forest. Go online and check out all the area attractions and RT66 historical shops located nearby.
The Sherman House was built in 1954, has been completely remodeled while maintaining the feeling and appeal of the old history of Williams. This home is built with your family in mind, inside and out. Plenty of area for everyone to enjoy, including a larger, spectacular wrap-around deck overlooking a flagstone patio centered in the middle of the fenced yard surrounded by trees. Have a cookout on the gas grill or just relax in the patio chairs and take in the clean, fresh air.
The downstairs features a large living room with a big screen TV, WiFi, a sitting area, a master bedroom suite, and a second bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. For cold winter nights, there is a large wood-burning stove in addition to central heat throughout the entire home. The downstairs living area also has a TV with a DVD player and DirecTV.
The kitchen features solid surface counter tops, a large pantry, a large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, toaster, plates, dishes, and you name it to meet your needs. Upstairs has 2 more bedrooms and a wonderful loft with a sectional, smart TV, and WiFi for the kids. One bedroom upstairs is a suite with an attached bathroom, while the other bedroom has a balcony with wonderful views of trees, the surrounding town, and those amazing sunsets Arizona is known for. The home has central Air Conditioning, which is a rare find in this area. Oh, and did we mention the tankless water heater supplying unlimited amounts of hot water?
There is great winter access to the home on a paved road maintained by the City of Williams. We have snow service provided for you during the winter months for getting in and out of the driveway.
This home is on City Water and City Sewer. That is a huge plus in this area because many homes outside the city limits have a limited water supply due to the fact that they have to haul water to the house.

Sherman House was great! So close to everything in Williams. Our family of 6 adults and two children were very comfortable. Highly recommend staying there.
This house is perfect! Each room is tucked away offering privacy when staying with a larger group. Having a kitchen and washer and dryer made our trip super convenient. Its location to the town made it so that we could walk in and out whenever we wanted. The host was quick and easy to get a hold of when something was needed!
The whole process of checking in to checking out was very easy. The house felt very welcoming and was perfect for us. Would highly recommend staying there

Our experience this property was excellent. From the first Contact through checkout, we felt prioritized and taken care of. Management was responsive to any requests, and we felt immediately at home upon arrival. It is a beautiful home that is just a 5-minute walk from downtown. Highly recommend and will be back.

Thanks so much for the wonderful review! Love to have you return with us anytime you're in the area.
Cute-older home. Really enjoyed our stay. Short walking distance to downtown. One small note if going in the winter, with snow/ice on the road, you have to drive uphill to get to the house.

Thanks for the nice 5-star review. Yes, the house is a historical older home that has been completely remodeled. It's downtown right off 1st Street. If you go to 4th Street and hit the street, it's pretty flat—there is more than one way to get to the home.
We loved the quiet neighborhood so close to downtown. Th proximity to the Grand Canyon National Park and a number of other attractions (Walnut Canyon, Wupatiki NM, Seligmann ...) is also a plus.
