Horrible Experience

We arrive to pretty sketchy area of Royal Oak. We checked in at night and the unit door was unlocked! Then, go to take a shower and the top knob for the faucet came right off so…couldn’t take a shower. Tried reaching out to the owner MULTIPLE times, no response about it. Went the whole weekend without showering. Do not recommend!

Requested a refund

I never was able to get ahold of the person renting this property. Ive had no contact from them and have requested a refund. I ended up having to find last minute accomodations out of town because of this. Do not book here, its a scam

Very half-effort property

My experience started with the host not sending me my check-in information until after the time I was supposed to check-in and after I was on the phone with VRBO customer service, because the host refused to answer phone calls from me or customer service. The entire property revealed half-effort and half-care that was put into it. The WiFi did not allow for Netflix to work. There were stains on some of the bedding and pillows. There was other people and animal hair on the “clean” Bedding. The furniture was so cheap I was afraid of breaking it. Both mattresses were uncomfortable. The temperature was somewhat preset and made it either too hot or too cold. I ended up not feeling well during my stay and was concerned for the actual air quality in the property. Safety was also a concern, because the door to get into the actual complex was broken so anyone could have access to the front door of the property. If you want to cook here or make coffee make sure you bring your own things, because all that was provided was a coffee pot and kitchen utensils. I do not feel satisfied with the amount I paid and the quality I received. I won’t ever stay here again.

Pictures are deceiving

Cheap. Cold & unwelcoming. We contacted the host indirectly to see if we could leave early., but had paid for three days. I left a message with VRBO agent that we might leave a day early. This was not confirmed by me. The host assumed we were going to leave. sent the cleaning crew in even though all our belongings were still there and refrigerator full of food. The host then instructed the cleaning crew to take all our belongings and put them in the basement - it was obvious we were still there and we were paid till the following day - very inconsiderate!

Perfect Location!

This apartment is perfect for visiting Royal Oak. It’s a very easy 10-15 min walk to downtown. Alexander was very easy to get ahold of and answered all of our questions. We’re already trying to plan a trip back!
