Calypso | Oceanfront + Screened Porch!

This sturdy and enchanting oceanfront cottage with shake siding has enthralled guests for years. With four bedrooms: one with two twins, one with a queen, another with a double, and a fourth with a king, eight guests can be accommodated.

A well-equipped kitchen allows for easily prepared meals, and an expandable dining table assures all people may dine together. A covered sea side porch as well as extensive outdoor decks with built-in benches provide ample room to find a private hideaway. A washer/dryer is provided as well as other amenities…dishwasher, TV with access to streaming apps, eclectic supply of books, games and puzzles.

Breezes and breathtaking views….Sunrises from the dunes, sunsets from the back deck, sand, water, and peace for the soul provided at no extra cost.

Once experienced, you too will want to return to this house by the sea.

Rustic cottage

The house is definitely an older , with some newer upgrades like flooring and countertops. No issues with anything which is always a plus.

Summer 2021 Topsail

The pictures of the property were accurate. The location was great! However several things about this property were pretty upsetting. Immediately upon settling in we noticed ant traps all around the kitchen. We saw ants pretty consistently in the kitchen and the bathroom. My husband later told me after we got home that he and a friend of ours killed several cockroaches inside the house. While I understand these things can happen , my husband also saw a rat one evening the size of a small dog run across the deck. All of these things combined are a little nauseating. While I’m glad my husband kept this to himself , in order to not ruin our vacation, I am still appalled. This house is in a prime location. I just hope the owners take proper care in handling these issues.

Beautiful view but older cottage

It was basically exactly what i knew i was getting. An older and smaller cottage but with an incredible back deck and ocean view. Inside was adequate. Bathrooms have been redone, living area was small but functional. I only really had two complaints. First, The kitchenware is way too old. Went out and bought myself a frying pan because there frying pans were all but unusable. Second, and i get that your going to get this with older properties, but there were cockroach's within the unit. Saw only one live one but a few dead ones which means whatever pest treatment they were utilizing was working. Oh yeah, one more minor complaint, the washer and dryer were ancient, The washer broke on me mid-cycle. With the above being said, the view is incredible and the outdoor deck made this relatively inexpensive oceanfront rental 100% worth it.
