About this property
Desert Hills 2 with Mountain View from back patio
Beautiful and eclectic southwest furnished townhome close to Desert Hills social center, the Elks club and Presbyterian Church just a five minute walk away. This townhome has 1,300 sq. ft. of space with a large Arizona room overlooking the east facing patio and Santa Rita Mountains. Enjoy relaxing and eating on the patio as you enjoy the spectacular mountain views.
This unit has a master bedroom with king bed, two large closets and full bath remodeled in 2016. Just down the hall is a guest bedroom with two twin beds and dresser. The second bathroom is across the hall and was also remodeled in 2016. Both bathrooms have a walk-in shower. There are no tubs in this unit.
The front living room is spacious with a beehive fireplace and large mexican style armoire with a TV. There is an eating area just off the living room and kitchen.
I added a desk extension to the newly remodeled kitchen for convenience of having a place for your computer/laptop. This space also doubles as a “buffet” area for entertaining.
A galley kitchen (newly remodeled in June of 2025 and not yet pictured) is fully equipped for all your cooking needs, with a full pantry and laundry area adjacent.
The Arizona room has saltillo tiled flooring and another flat screen TV, sofa and recliner. Large slider and windows with great views of the mountains from inside.
Since this is an artists home, all the pictures hanging on the walls are original southwest pastels and oil paintings collected over the years.
The neighborhood of Desert Hills 2 is very quiet and isolated on three sides by arroyos. Expect to see javelinas walking on by in late afternoon and early evening. Other animals you may see in the area are mule deer, coyotes and bobcats. This unit is on a corner and has a one car carport although two vehicles can easily fit in the driveway. Common area parking is nearby.
This unit comes with GVR (Green Valley Recreation) so you have use of all 11 GVR social centers and all the clubs and activities GVR has to offer. You can find all this information on the internet under gvrec.org. Renter pays for their own guest tenant cards…rates are located on GVRs website.
At least one renter must be 55 or older. This is an HOA requirement.
Travel insurance is highly recommended for cancellations to to sickness or death. Shop on the internet to find one for your specific needs.

About the host
Hosted by Karen Wolffis

I'm a retired travel agent from Kalamazoo, Michigan. My hubby and I moved to Green Valley in 2004 where we built our home in Canoa Ranch and for years traveled between Arizona and our home state of Michigan where we both grew up.
I am a member of the Ceramic Studio, Computer Club and Artisan shop where you can find my original oil paintings and ceramic pieces on sale.

Why they chose this property
This townhome was the first property we purchased in Green Valley. It was a rental at first. We then decided to stay during the winter months for two years and ended up building our permanent home in Canoa Ranch. The unit again reverted to being a rental after remodeling and adding the Arizona Room. Since then we have had both baths remodeled and have added wood flooring. This unit is warm, inviting, and very quiet.
Enjoy the evening sunset from the rear patio as the mountains turn pink.
