Located in popular and vibrant Oro Valley, this beautiful, private and tranquil resort style home is surrounded by beautiful mountain views on all sides and gorgeous desert vistas. Breathtaking sunset views every night. Truly a zen feeling to this home as visitors share they are filled with a sense of peace when entering this tranquil desert home. Beautiful Pebble Tec pool and hot tub with waterfall flowing into pool. Firepit for viewing the canopy of stars each evening. Home has a split bedroom floor plan with complete privacy in the owner’s suite. Double sink in both bathrooms. King tempur-pedic bed in owner’s suite and queen beds in each guest room. Self-inflating queen air mattress provided if you wish to use the large den as a 4th bedroom (doors close off den). Large wrap around couch in great room can easily fit 6 people. Gas fireplace in great room. Home also has a large screened porch off great room with chat set and 4 swivel chairs for beautiful evening meals outdoors. High speed internet and cable tv is included. All linens, cookware and ample dishes are provided as well as a large assortment of spices.

Located on a street of larger homes/lots, the home backs up to a saguaro-filled wash and is on a large lot with complete privacy. Abundant wildlife including quail, hawks, nighthawks, cactus wrens, owls and curved billed thrashers are regular visitors. Hummingbirds year-round. Javelina and coyotes are frequently seen in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is perfect for walking with sidewalks and trails surrounding the area. Hiking trails into the Catalinas, Tucson and Tortolita Mountains are minutes away as well as world class golf courses. “The Loop” is easily accessed from the home for biking enthusiasts. Minutes to shops, stores and restaurants. World-renowned Miraval Resort and Spa with daily spa services is 20 minutes away. Popular La Encantada Mall with upscale shopping and restaurants backing up to the Catalina Mountains is 20 minutes away. The University of Arizona is a 20 minute drive as is downtown Tucson with it's many bars, restaurants, live music and theaters. 90 minutes to Phoenix airport or 35-40 minutes to Tucson International Airport. 90 minutes to Scottsdale.

Revisit our birthplace and celebrate Dad’s career and b-day

We convened from various parts of the country to visit the town of our birth (my sister and me), to celebrate our Dad’s birthday, to visit Davis Monthan AFB and the Pima Air and Space museum to see aircraft, many of which he had flown. We enjoyed numerous trails, restaurants and other sights throughout the region. The host’s recommendations were all fabulous. Quiet and relaxing

We had an amazing stay! Needed to get away from work and relax. This was just the place for my husband and I! It was quiet and relaxing. You can’t beat the backyard and all the different places to sit and relax! The location it great as well! We enjoyed the scenery and wildlife. Would return again next time we are in Tucson!

We absolutely loved staying here. The view was breath taking, the pool was wonderful along with everything about your home. If we come back to this area we will be staying again. If there is anything I would change, it would be a newer TV that is a bit larger.

A Wonderful Place for Snowbirds

This was my second winter stay at this property, and again I was delighted. Both the house and the outdoor spaces are large and well furnished, and the owner provides amenities such as walking sticks and bikes to make sure her renters can thoroughly enjoy the Oro Valley biking and hiking trails. You will feel at home the minute you walk in the door.

Great space and location

Loved the house and neighborhood. Quiet and relaxed. Friendliest neighbors. House set up is great and backyard was perfect for our boys. Pool was cold but that did not deter them! Hot tub was delightful. Northern location made the drives to various activities a bit far, but well worth it for the mountain views.

Home away from home

The house and property are clean, comfortable, and beautiful. We had a couple of rainy days at the beginning of our trip, and we truly enjoyed spending time in the home. Once the weather allowed us to get out and explore, we found numerous opportunities for hiking and other activities in the surrounding area. We appreciated coming back to this lovely home to relax after our adventures. The spa is especially a highlight! The neighborhood is welcoming and quiet. And the Mountain views are gorgeous! Lael communicates all the necessary info in a timely manner and has thought of many personal touches that make this house a home away from home.

We came to AZ for a family wedding and wanted to stay in a home versus a hotel like we usually do when traveling. This was our first experience with VRBO and it exceeded our expectations - this property in particular offered everything we needed/wanted and more. Pictures don't do justice - beautiful, roomy and clean home. The owner was always prompt in answering questions replying within minutes. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet/peaceful at night. Would recommend this property, 100 times over!

Feels like home!

Our family (5 adults and 3 small children) recently stayed at this property for a larger family gathering over the Thanksgiving holidays. It was perfect, as it was only about 2 blocks from my sister's home. As there are very few hotel options in the area, this met our needs and gave our family the ability to have a very relaxing visit....and not always under foot at my sister's. The house and yard are well maintained, with lots of extras. The back yard is a paradise and we would enjoy mornings and evenings there, as Tucson November weather is the best. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cooking items (including spices) so we were able to divide the cooking between the two house. The owner is extremely responsive and checked on us to make sure everything was satisfactory. We are keeping this house on our list of favorites for our next family visit (or golfing visit) to Tucson. Perfect for either.

Comfortable and convenient

On an unusually cold dec/jan transition week our family met at this lovely home in oro valley. It was close to local parks and playgrounds and hiking at Catalina State Park. The house was very clean. accomodating and comfortable for 6 adults and two kids. We have stayed at many vrbo homes for these reunions in the past. This kitchen was by far the most well stocked with helpful spices and every appliance or pan we needed including a blender for smoothies and a rice cooker. The dining area is larger than the photos convey and easily seated 6 of us with 2 at the bar. Many card games were enjoyed there. Unfortunately it was way too cold for the pool but the hot tub was wonderful. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful while close to grocery stores and restaurants. The gas fireplace was much appreciated for it's warming glow on cold nights and early mornings. It will be on our list if we reunion here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Oro Valley property. It was even better than advertised, if that is possible! The house, landscaping and pool were in perfect condition, and the view was beautiful. It was very private and relaxing. We enjoy cooking, so it was wonderful to discover that the kitchen was the most well equipped that we have ever had in a VRBO rental. The rest of the home was also very well decorated and equipped with supplies, linens and household products! It felt like a second home! We would like to make a couple of "suggestions" that may make the stay even better.... possibly install "aesthetically pleasing" handrails for getting in/out of the hot tub and pool for safety, and the hot tub start up instructions were a little hard to decipher. Also, the rollers on the back sliding glass door are worn, so it makes it difficult to slide open/closed and to lock. Thank you for providing such a wonderful home-away-from-home! We'd love to stay here again in the future.

An Excellent Winter Getaway

This Oro Valley home was a perfect place for my winter getaway from the cold Midwest. The expansive backyard was delightful, with seating groups in the sun, in the partial shade under a tree, next to the pool, or under the patio roof. The living space was comfortable and varied -- a separate sitting room (great for reading a book at the end of the day), a large living room with plenty of seating for watching the many possible streaming options on the TV, kitchen counter seating as well as a sunny and bright dining table area. The large master bedroom is set off from the rest of the living space and other guest rooms, which gave everyone a sense of privacy. I especially appreciated that one of the bedrooms has a large desk and shelves, which made work-from-home super easy. And the home's location made Tucson attractions so accessible -- from the Dove Mountain golf courses, to downtown Tucson, to the Catalina hiking trails . . . and the bike path is almost right out the door. Also special about this home: The owner has your good experience in mind, with bicycles, hiking poles, wood and fire starters for the fire pit in the backyard, easy-to-follow home instructions, and lots of comfortable touches. It was a pleasure!

I have lived and worked in Tucson for many years and know a great deal about the area so ask me questions! Prior to moving to Tucson, I lived in Seattle and Minneapolis and was raised on the east coast. I have children and grandchildren in Scottsdale and Sonoma. I enjoy sharing my gorgeous desert home when I travel or visit my children. It is truly my zen house. I hope you will find this peace as well.

Why they chose this property

My home has a gorgeous, private backyard with pool, hot tub and waterfall feature. It is large and has several seating areas and a firepit which is especially nice for viewing the canopy of stars in the clear Tucson skies in the evening. It has a screened Arizona Room with chat set table and chairs. It also features a split bedroom floor plan for master bedroom privacy and a gas fireplace which makes it warm and cozy in the winter months. Oro Valley is a beautiful area and close to many desert and mountain hiking trails. It is a golf-lover's paradise with many world class golf courses located nearby. The home is 25 minutes from the University of Arizona and downtown Tucson. It is also close to Miraval Resort and Spa and the Ritz Carlton if you wish to do a spa day or half day there. The Ritz Carlton also has a beautiful outdoor dining area.
