Amazing & such good value for money!!

I stayed at Villa Neela with five of my friends last September and had the most incredible time. The house is spacious, light and airy. The set up with the pool and the outside eating area is fantastic and was a great way to spend the evenings watching the sunset. If you want tranquility but to be close enough to the town of Porec then this is perfect. It is set in a small village about a 10 minute drive from the lovely sea port town of Porec. There are a lot of fantastic bars and restaurants all around the harbour to spend the evening out with live music, all without being too loud or touristy. We took the ferry across to Venice for the day which was well worth the 2 hr boat trip. The house has a great itinery and maps to tell you the best places to visit locally. Make sure to head to Rovinj for the day. One of the most beautiful towns I have visited. Definitely worth a drive in land and checking out the stunning hill top villages of Groznjan and Motovun. With the cheap flights you can take to either Rijeka, Pula or Trieste (in Italy) and great value for the villa, it is definitely somewhere I would recommend to get away with friends, young children and the older generation!

Beautiful villa nearby Porec

A clean, spacious and beautiful villa just outside Porec. Was a perfect location quiet and easy to find. A lovely pool which was regularly maintained without being intrusive. We loved nearby Porec with its restaurants, bars and shops. Also visited Rovinj and Pula and basically most of the owners recommendations. Did a day trip to Venice from Porec and visited the Plitvice National Park- long drive but stunning scenery. Highly recommend this villa and the surrounding area

Villa Neela is the place to stay for a great holiday

Due to the beautiful big house with a perfect swimming pool and sunbeds we have had a great holiday, Location is perfect, quiet, near a nice small village and about 10 minutes drive from Porec. There you find enough supermarkets and a new shopping mall. Everything in house was good. Well prepared information by the owner and an excellent wifi. We thank Sarah and Trevor for everything to make our holiday great. Thanks for everthing

Vielen Dank an Trevor

Perfect Villa, Perfect Location

Stayed at Villa Neela with my family for 2 weeks in August and was very pleasantly surprised. Set 10 mins drive from the lovely town of Porec its perfectly located for all the local facilities that Porec has to offer. Porec has lots to do without being too overspoilt and we visited both Playa Laguna and Zelena Laguna which is nearby. The Villa is very well equipped and spacious with everything you need for a holiday in beautiful surroundings. Pool is cleaned and checked and a cleaner came in during start of second week to change towels/sheets etc. We visited Rovinj whilst we were there, which is very beautiful and is best organised for a cloudy afternoon as it might be a bit uncomfortable walking around the lovely cobbled streets in the midday sun! We also spent the day at the Aqua park which is very nearby and was both my sons best part of the holiday as it has lots brilliant slides! We also visited Venice for the day taking the ferry there which is a must do if you can as its such an amazing city. It was a long day out but well worth it and the highlight for us as we've never been before. All in all we had a fantastic holiday staying in Villa Neela and we hope to return again. Just another quick mention that the owner Trevor provided excellent information and service for the booking of the villa and was always willing to help with any queries you may have.

An excellent stay

Four of us stayed at Villa Neela for a week, at the beginning of June. We found it very spacious and clean throughout. A great location if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet. Only a quick drive to the nearest town of Porec, which was beautiful. It was very hot during our stay therefore we were very thankful for the air conditioning in each room which worked perfectly. A great size pool area, ideal for relaxing and cooling off in the water. Went to a few restaurants which were recommended in the 'what to do guide' left out in the villa for guests to read. We also enjoyed a couple of BBQ's whilst watching the amazing sunset from the veranda. The villa has a large map on the wall in the dining area which was a great help to us when we went a little further afield to visit Rovinj (which is also a beautiful place to visit). We highly recommend visiting Croatia and staying at Villa Neela. We are already planning our next visit!

Villa Neela: something for everyone

We can't believe it's already a year since we stayed at Villa Neela the memories are so fresh in our minds. When we first pulled up to the Villa we were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful the surroundings were & how clean & tidy the parking area & gardens were. Once inside we found the rooms exactly as described here: spacious, cool, airy and well appointed. The Kitchen is fully equipped & there's plenty of storage space in the bedrooms & living rooms for all your belongings: a proper Home from Home. As you can imagine we spent a lot of our time here around the pool, relaxing & cooking alfresco: the pool area is fully tiled, the pool itself is clean (we only stayed 10 days & saw the poolman at least three times!) & a safe depth for all ages: the owners even supplied airbeds & a selection of novels if you run out of pool reading material! They have satellite TV (not that we watched much; well you don't on holiday do you?!) with a DVD player (which we did use a couple of nights; we took our own but there is a small selection to choose from) & a CD/Radio which we used constantly while around the pool & because you're not overlooked the neighbours didn't seem to mind. We only used the Double bedroom but all the bedrooms are cool even on the hottest of days (and Boy can it get hot) since they are on the shade side of the Villa (we would recommend closing the shutters during the day to stop the sun heating them too much): the bed linen is crisp & clean & as stated in the information changed weekly along with the towels. The Bathroom is very large, nicely decorated (mostly tiled) & the corner shower is bliss after a long hot day sunning yourself. The What-To-Do Guide is a lovely touch & we certainly took the opportunity to visit some of the recommended sights: Vrsar is definitely a must visit if only for the stroll around the Marina dreaming of boarding one of the many gazillion foot cruisers moored there; Porec of course where there's something for everyone: great restaurants, a romantic after Dinner stroll around the Harbour, a tour of the Roman ruins & Euphrasius Basilica (hosted by the locals!) or if you're looking for a Live Band or a Boogie there are even a few Bars on the Main Street to accommodate the more lively Holidaymaker; Rovinj a beautiful coastal town with lovely coloured houses on the front & a bustling market most days; whilst here you must visit the Palazzo on the Harbour even if just to soak up the Venetian style atmosphere. We WILL return!!

Idyllic Villa

We chose this villa for its quiet and peaceful setting and were not disappointed. The villa looks out over open fields and is not overlooked by neighbouring properties. The villa is very well equipped and was very clean. The pool is a good size with plenty of sun loungers and was regularly serviced during our stay. When we were able to drag the children away from the pool there was lots to do locally including boat trips, cycling and water sports. You do need a hire car to get about. We made good use of the BBQ and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the veranda. The helpful owners made the booking process very easy and we are looking forward to our return trip this summer

Quiet Croatian Retreat

We stayed at Villa Neela in July 2012 and had a superb week away. The accommodation is great, very spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen to prepare nice meals at the villa and eat outside over looking the pool instead of always going into town. We hired a car, which you will need, as the villa is a short drive out of town. This was perfect for us, as it meant we could go and enjoy the town when we wanted to. you're not overlooked at the villa and it was nice and quiet there, even though there are a few neighbours around and it was high season when we went. We made some lovely day trips whilst we were there and you can even take a ferry over to Venice for the day, we didn't manage that on that occasion, but would definitely plan that for a future trip. When we stayed there wasn't any aircon, but each room had a fan, and we slept soundly whilst we were there. I don't know if this has changed now... The pool is lovely, with loungers and a hammock to relax in. A pool guy comes to clean it regularly too. In the evenings we would sit watching the sun go down and watching the swallows swoop past. The villa is very secure with electric gates and there's a managing agent close by to help you if you have any troubles. Overall a fantastic property and a lovely holiday. We'll definitely be visiting again!
