The luxury villa is in a quiet but convenient select development in Yenibogazici near Salamis. The local sandy beaches, part of Famagusta Bay are accessed a short distance away along the coast by car where the Local Authority have created car parking and landscaped areas. Throughout the whole year it is possible to experience the beauty of this Mediterranean country. In this idyllic location it is possible for one to enjoy local life within the beautiful tranquil surroundings. The area around Salamis is rich in culture with the Salamis Ruins being a very popular tourist attraction situated a few minutes drive from the villa. The villa is owned by Colin and Ann - We live in North Yorkshire, and are in our mid 50's. We have two children, Rebecca, who is currently an Overseas Recruitment Officer at University of York; and Dominic, who is a highly qualified cocktail bar tender in York. We are looking forward to the time when we can finish working and spend more time in our villa in North Cyprus.
Why they chose this property
We went out to North Cyprus many years ago, and fell in love with it straight away. The people are so friendly, good food, great beaches near the villa and along the Karpas Peninsula that have to be seen to be believed and a great climate - it was a very memorable holiday. After returning from our first trip we promised ourselves two things, firstly that we would be back soon, and secondly if we ever had the money then we would buy a villa on the island. By good fortune we have done both!!
What makes this property unique
Some people prefer the area around Kyrenia, which has been a much stronger area of tourism development in recent years. For ourselves, we prefer the Famagusta/Salamis area, as it is more peaceful, whilst still having plenty to do, as Famagusta is near enough for shopping, whilst Bogaz in the opposite direction is a beautiful small fishing village. Beaches are abundant and of a quality you struggle to find elsewhere.
