This was exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful stay. Sylvi and Pier are the best. They made us a delicious breakfast! The beds were comfortable, the view was incredible, and the countryside was gorgeous. If you want to get away from the crowds and experience staying in a 15th century villa, this is the place.
Our stay was relatively short, but very nice. We really enjoyed the evening sunsets on the patio. It is a little bit of a jaunt to get there, but Zocca is close and there are terrific family owned restaurants even closer. Maranello (Ferrari) and Bologna (omg the food) are within an hour.
We stayed with 10 persons in a beautiful house in a rural environment not too far from Bologna AirPort. There are many walking routes
The owners are very friendly. They prepare very good diners and breakfasts on demand and they also give cooking lessons.
We enjoyed our stay
We stayed at this property for three nights. Very roomy, clean, and lovingly maintained. Three full modern bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen (including free coffee, thank you!). We also had the breakfast provided by the owner, a wonderful combination of fresh local products. The location is off the beaten path, with a great view over the valley. The nearby village has a great public pool to spend a summer afternoon. We enjoyed our stay and the scenic drive to the property very much.
Absolutely wonderful property and hosts. Silvia and Pier were fantastic, always accessible and answered every question. Gave us great recommendations for dinner, butcher, baker, and cheese shop. 1hour drive to Bologna, Modena. 90 minutes to Parma. We were 6 adults and had plenty of space, the 3 bathrooms were great. Great property to hike around. I would recommend this property 100% to anyone. I will be definitely staying here again
We felt transported back in time, sleeping in a tower that was build around 1500. Generous and clean space with great water pressure. We took advantage of the welcome dinner by chef Pierre, and it was one of our favorite memories, sitting on the patio, overlooking the mountains of Emilia romagna and enjoying great local food. Take advantage of the nearby Pool on a hot day, 3 minutes away.
Only downside, location is on top of a mountain range, so driving can be a bit challenging to get up to Zocca.
Wonderful home like stepping back in time. The area is filled with secret places to visit including the best Parmesan cheese maker in the region with the famous mountain white cows. Don’t miss the cooking courses. Learn to make the best lasagna in the world. I promise.
