About this property

Beautiful South-facing Apartment With Sea View And Communal Pool

Our lovely 2nd floor apartment is on a small condominium close to Albufeira Old Town and the Marina.
The beautiful beaches of Arrifes & Sao Rafael are 12/15 mins walk.

Albufeira is a beautiful town on the Algarve coast - perfect for all ages.
The Old town with its cobbled streets lies on an endless sandy beach with water sports available. There are plenty of quality bars and restaurants.
The other side of Albufeira is the lively “Strip” which is easily reached by taxi or land train.

The apartment is our second home and is lovingly decorated with homely touches.
The twin bedroom is on a mezzanine level above the living room. It has an additional area with single sofa bed for a child/young adult.
The main bedroom has a very comfortable king-size bed. Both rooms have plenty of storage drawers and the hanging spaces have dozens of wooden coat hangers.
The living area is spacious and airy and comfortably furnished.
The apartment does not have air con but is kept cool in summer by floor standing electric fans in each room. There is often a cool breeze in summer.

Patio doors lead onto the sunny south facing balcony which overlooks the pool and restaurant and has a lovely sea view.

The swimming pool has free sunbeds and the tennis court is available at a small charge, payable locally.
We have tennis racquets and a selection of beach equipment/parasol.
The pool bar & restaurant are open during the Summer season. [usually Late March - October]
* The restaurant is closed on Sundays but you may use the pool/ sunbeds. The side gate is open. *

The lounge/diner and main bedroom have wall heaters and we have a portable heater for winter months.


ADDITIONAL INFO

The complex is in a perfect location close to beautiful beaches and clifftop walks on the outskirts of Albufeira Old Town.
There are fabulous sandy beaches along the coast in each direction.
The nearest are the beautiful beaches of Arrifes & Sao Rafael which are only 10/15 minutes walk. Both have a restaurant / beach bar.
Albufeira Marina is a 17 minute walk. There are plenty of bars & restaurants and activities for children.
Boat trips for dolphin search, caves and bbq cruises leave daily.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:

25 mins drive to Aqualand water park.
20 mins drive to Zoomarine
[Pick-up location for these is close by.]
15 mins drive to Algarve Shopping Complex at Guia

The local bus to Gale stops at the end of the road every hour in both directions.
Open-top bus tour stop nearby.

Lovely apartment

We had a great holiday, the apartment was really clean, stylish and equipped with everything we needed for a family holiday. The pool and bar area were brilliant and less than two minutes walk away. The area is quiet and peaceful, the marina with lots of bars and restaurants is no more than a fifteen minute walk away.Would highly recommend staying here.

Really lovely apartment, very comfortable & had everything we needed. Communication with Michelle from the moment of booking was excellent, she was always on hand to answer any questions we had. The complex which the apartment is on was great, very quiet and hardly anyone round the pool so always lots of sunbeds to choose from (this was mid September). The restaurant on site was fab, a great menu & very reasonably priced, very friendly staff. About a 15 minute walk to the marina, a bit further to the old town. We would definitely visit again.

Great location and easy process

We chose the property based on its location in the Algarve region since we planned to explore the area in day trips. The check in process was really easy and the space was great for us (2 adults 1 child). The welcome book provided by the hosts has so much information about the area including detailed guidance on beaches and areas of interest, as well as a comprehensive list of local restaurants. We didn’t use the tennis or pool because we were busy the entire time with all the region has to offer.

Wonderful stay

The apartment is very nice & comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Balcony was a good size for 2 people. Michelle was very responsive to all our queries. A couple of observations: there is no wifi in the apartment, you have to go to restaurant/pool which is slow & not secure; 32 steps to climb to get up to front door so anyone with mobility issues might find it challenging; no A/C but host compensated with 2 floor fans. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Michelle & Mike.

A Week in the Sun

The owners apartment is amongst several surrounding a great ‘centre court’ for tennis along with a nice pool area inc beds umbrellas courtesy of Carla and staff and a restaurant that locals also frequent daily with good fresh food served lunch into evenings plus the wine is very goodThe appartment is nic3 & comfortable with literally everything you need for 2-4 people and easy to access uber taxis outside to other places inc beaches not far awayThe only concern we had arriving on a Sunday was the onsite restaurant and area was closed for that day only and with a late night flight home to follow we were suddenly blessed by the owners advice with a local pool bar & full facilities to use called “scoobies bar” which is a must and run very well for the day drinks food pool changing rooms case areas so use if flying home lateor arriving if needs beOverall a lovely quiet place with full facilities providedSee you again!

Très bel appartement dans une sympathique résidence avec piscine. La vue depuis le balcon est très agréable. En 10 minutes à pied, nous sommes à la Marina ou à la plage. Excellente communication avec la propriétaire. Nous recommandons très fortement le restaurant bar, nous y avons très bien mangé et ce n'est pas très cher.

Logement très propre, fonctionnel et dans un quartier calme. Nous avons trouvé très facilement lors de notre arrivée. We live in England. We are both retired and spend most of our holidays in Portugal. We first visited on an inter rail trip in 1987 and since then have really fallen in love with the country. Our apartment is our second home and we hope that guests love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

After years of travelling looking for our favourite place to buy an apartment we finally fell in love with Albufeira.

It has everything we want, an endless number of fantastic coves and beaches, a choice of lively or quieter nightlife, a wide range of attractions nearby, the beautiful Old Town with its cobbled streets and for the occasional rainy day a designer shopping complex nearby!

What makes this property unique

The apartment is in a perfect location. It's in a peaceful area alongside villas but only 5 mins drive from Albufeira. We never tire of the views across the hillside.
We have a sea view and there is a lovely coastal footpath just outside the complex that leads to a series of fabulous beaches. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance and It's only a 15 minute walk to the Marina.

The airport is only 35-40 minutes away and driving / car-hire is easy and convenient.
There are so many beaches and places to visit within an hour's drive.
But for a more relaxed holiday the pool and local beaches are more than enough!!

We can leave England in the early morning and be in the pool or on the beach by mid-day!

We have a local agent who can help with individual requirements. e.g. baby-equipment, golf, excursions, car-hire/transfers etc.
