About the host
Hosted by Andreas Wagner
I've been living with my partner in St Chinian now since 1998 and am still captivated by the area. We first came to the area for a long weekend, to visit friends who'd settled here. It was Easter, the weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time. At the end our stay we decided to come back later in the year, and booked a two week stay in St Chinian.
Why they chose this property
We bought the house during that first holiday in St Chininan - it was very much love at first sight with the village and the area. We were staying across the road and looking from the windows of our apartment we could see this house with a large for sale sign on it. At the time there were no estate agents, so we visited with the local notary who had the keys and took us round. We visited a second time with our friends who lived locally and at the end of our holiday we'd signed for the house and arranged everything - and we've never once regretted it.
What makes this property unique
Acanthus is just a few steps away from the market square, and the house is close to all amenities whilst not being close enough to them to suffer noise. You can get to Saint Chinian by public transport and if you don't want to stray from the village you don't have to - everything can be found locally. A car will allow you to explore a bit more, and Saint Chinian is ideally placed to visit in all directions.
