About this property
Savor summertime on the lake! on Deer Lake
** Featured on HGTV's Lakefront Bargain Hunt **
Near & Deer’s cozy spaces and rustic artwork adorn this tastefully decorated three bedroom, two bath waterfront cabin.
Sleeping arrangements: Master bedroom with queen sized bed and flat panel TV is downstairs, overlooking the water. The two upstairs bedrooms feature a queen bed and a full size bed and also have an unobstructed view of the lake. There’s also a click-clack (basically just a fancy name for a futon) in the downstairs family room and a small loft area upstairs with a couch and flat panel TV. Technically, VRBO considers this a 4th bedroom, but we don’t have it listed that way on purpose as we want you to know that there’s no privacy to the open den area. The cabin is most comfortable for 6 guests and can accommodate up to 8 in beds.
Linens: Your beds will bed freshly made just prior to your arrival, including two pillows for each guest. Freshly laundered bath towels, hand towels, face towels and kitchen towels will also be provided.
Kitchen: The fully-stocked gourmet kitchen features natural finish cabinetry and granite counters. Included are pots, pans, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, blender and instant-pot, cooking utensils and some seasonings. We will leave you a dozen of our favorite K-cups, but feel free to bring your own stash of coffee and seasonings as well!
Dining: There are two indoor dining spaces. One is the corner nook that technically sleeps up to 6, but we think that’s awfully snug and we recommend 4. The other area doubles as the butcher block island with 4 stools.
Family room: Sectional reclining sofa with fireplace, flat panel smart TV and views of the lake. In the space that’s adjacent the sectional is the click-clack mentioned above.
BBQ: The BBQ is a Traeger Pellet Grill which has 6-in-1 ability to grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, and bbq. We’ll leave you a fully stocked hopper as well as an extra container of pellets, just in case you like to BBQ as often as we do and in case you’re not familiar with these awesome grills
The Deck: Enjoy your morning coffee and relax on the deck, which cantilevers over the water with panoramic views of Deer Lake. There’s a propane fire pit on the deck and we’ll make sure that you have a full tank of propane waiting for you. Next to the deck on the concrete area, there’s also a natural wood burning fire pit. If you want to use that one, you should bring as much firewood with you as you’d like to use, which you can usually pick up in Deer Park on the way to the cabin.
The Dock: The private resin dock is a great place to spend the day relaxing, jumping and swimming.
Watercraft: If you want to bring motorized watercraft, message us prior to booking so we can talk about the size of your boat, number of skis, moorage, and trailer parking. Guests are expected to adhere to boating safety laws and lake etiquette, including observing the no-wake zone. Extra fees will apply. If you’re bringing watercraft, message us BEFORE YOU BOOK for approval.
Dogs: If you want to bring your dog(s) with you, message us prior to booking with the size of your dog(s) and their level of training. Guest are expected to keep their dog(s) on a leash when outside the property lines and to pick up after them. No more than 2 dogs are permitted. If you’re bringing pets, message us BEFORE YOU BOOK for approval.
Parking: Parking is tight at Deer Lake and this property is no exception. Two spaces are included. JUST TWO. There’s no overflow parking, no remote partaking lot, no asking the neighbors for favors. If you arrive with extra vehicles, you’ll be “up a creek”, as they say.
Smoking: This is a NON-SMOKING rental, this includes both inside and outside
Quiet Time: Outside quiet time starts @ 10 pm. Outside quiet time starts @ 10 pm. If you want to enjoy the deck or dock late at night, just be considerate of our neighbors.
Extra visitors: Entertaining people outside of your reserved guest count is not permitted.
Memories made at the lake last a lifetime!

The house was perfect for a lake getaway! We loved the outdoor space! The road in is wide enough for one car, so a little tricky to maneuver, but didn’t cause a problem. We had many great paddles on the lake! Hope to come back soon.
Near and deer VRBO was an amazing place to stay. Kevin and Billie were great hosts and extremely responsive to any questions we had. This VRBO is nestled on a quiet area of the lake with its own private dock, patio, and hot tub. It has beautiful views of the lake and is a great place to relax. This specific VRBO has a special place in our hearts and I would recommend this place over and over again.

Thank you so much, you guys! We’d love to have you back again! ♥️
Great quiet relaxing spot on the lake. We enjoyed paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing. The fireplace on the deck makes for great evenings. Thanks for the me.ories!
As advertised! Clean and homely cabin that our family enjoyed for a week-long stay. It was a very hot week at the lake and there’s no A/C at the cabin, so we purchased some short-term units to help out. Plus, there’s a whole lake at our disposal :)
Overall, a decent value and very cute place!
Looking to relax and unwind from your busy life, this is the place. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings on the lake. Home was cozy and clean and beds were comfortable.Direct access to the dock and lake allows you to enjoy all day outside, and beautiful deck and patio add to the outdoor enjoyment. Hosts were friendly, accessible and responsive.
We needed a short getaway that was north of where we needed to be in Spokane (away from traffic and the city) so we chose this property. We were so happy we did. Zero traffic, barely any noises…it was perfect. My kids fished most of the time we were there. I can definitely see this has a great summer spot for a lot of swimming (it wasn’t too cold but no one jumped in lol). Definitely recommend if you need somewhere quiet with no peopling or traffic!
Truly a magical place! The layout is great, and the location is perfect for a summer getaway.
We had sunshine during the day and amazing storms at night- memories for sure.
Bring rope if you plan to float on the water, that way you can anchor yourself and relax. We had a comical incident when my daughter drifted away. We’re still laughing about it.
We are PNW residents and this place checks all the boxes for “Lake Life” living.
Thank you for sharing it :)

Thank you for the review! We loved hosting you and you left the cabin in beautiful shape. Come back soon! ♥️
We wanted to get away but stayed somewhere close because we were tired of traveling hassles. This property was lovely! We loved the view from the outside spaces and the lake was fabulous. We loved kayaking and paddle boarding and watching the loons. The hot tub was awesome and did not stink-could see stars while soaking. We had a couple of rainy cloudy days and the hot tub was nice for being outside and still enjoying the view and having nothing to do. Found a great walk along a road that made a loop with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The house was perfect size and had great details and features. Loved our stay with our three teenagers and adult daughter who came up for the day. Great spot! We want to come back!
As advertised - the house is right on the lake. The home is well maintained and cared for.
There’s four in our family. The 1-year-old excitedly said “flowers, flowers, flowerrrrrs” upon seeing the photo of sunflowers in her room every time she was being put down.
The 4-year-old made good use out of the Disney Princess themed “hidden objects” book in her room and went ham on her first summer of “swimming alone” down by the dock ( splashing in waist high water with a life jacket on).
A tip for readers, if you have kids too young/nervous to jump off the dock, bring a durable sandal or shoes you don’t mind getting wet as the shore is rocky.

Had a lovely time canoeing on Deer Lake with my granddaughters and their girlfriends. The lake house offered everything we needed plus lots of extras: multiple fire pits, hot tub, clear glass deck railing that makes you feel as if you are actually “on” the water. I used the downstairs bedroom, while the girls used a combination of upstairs beds and various sofas. Billie was kind enough to provide an old fashioned hand-crank ice cream churn, with which the girls really enjoyed making blueberry lemon ice cream. What a terrific bonding experience! I also like that this property is completely enclosed, which also adds to the private and cozy feeling. Can’t wait for a chance to do this again!

Compact and sumptuous house with lovely grounds
After grocery shopping at Yokes in Deer Park (a class act) we grandparents stayed at Deerly Beloved over the Thanksgiving holiday while visiting our children and grandchildren, who have a nearby lakefront cabin. Deerly’s kitchen was big enough for each of the grandchildren to come by individually and prepare a dish or two with me, which was taken back to the larger cabin for the family’s feast. While catching up on the grandchildren’s lives, we made everything from appetizers to sides to dessert using the well-stocked kitchen’s full size appliances, with no problem. Our son-in-law did the turkey outdoors on the smoker BBQ—delicious!
The cabin is exceptionally beautifully decorated and very cozy. The bed in the master is very comfortable. We did not climb the stairs to the loft area because we both have bad knees. We enjoyed the living room fireplace, which lights itself with just the flip of a switch. Waking up each morning to that beautiful view was such a treat—it really let us know how very fortunate we are!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, you guys. We appreciate it and we look forward to having you out again!
Our family of four plus my mom were looking for a lakeside cabin with a boat dock and a view for our last weekend of summer. This property had everything we were looking for! A large deck overlooking Deer Lake. A boat dock for the boat and for the kids to jump off of and swim. Plenty of sunshine or shade, depending on your preference. The fire ban for propane was lifted the night before we left and our hosts were gracious enough to bring us a full propane tank so we could enjoy a fire. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable as was the couch, though we didn’t spend much time indoors. The kitchen was stocked with the plates, silverware, kitchen utensils, cups, etc. the only thing missing was a cutting board.
Overall, we had the best time! The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We got updates of the special activities happening at the lake. Loved it. Recommend it. Will be back soon!
Complete R & R!! We’ll remember this forever beautiful home and lake! Had a blast on our water toys and the neighborhood was so welcoming and warm.!. 10/10
This house turned out to be the perfect getaway for our family and friends. The house was very clean upon arrival and had all the amenities we needed - it did get fairly warm, however, so not having a/c was a little bit of a bummer, but who really needs it when you’re out swimming all day anyway?! With windows and doors open until late evening it cooled off enough. The lake itself was great too, very warm and clear water and the large dock was perfect for jumping off for a swim or tying up floaties to just relax on. There is a steep drop from the concrete patio area to the lake where the steps to the dock meet the water so if you have little ones, take note. We have a three and four year old and we ended up making a makeshift wall along the edge with coolers and tote bins just to be safe. Near and Deer was a perfect home away from home. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the lake!
An amazing property with a beautiful view, right on the lake. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our party and there was space for everyone! The fire table and hot tub were wonderful additions for all of us to enjoy our weekend together. Billie and Kevin were great with communication and were more than willing to help with whatever request we had. Our stay at Near and Deer was just what we needed!
We had a great time and it's a beautiful cabin and location. The owners are very responsive if you need anything and they made sure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

A very pleasant experience staying here. Sat by the propane fire place the first night and built a nice fire in the fire pit on night 2. Enjoyed the hot tub while watching the sun set. Very peaceful.

We had a really nice stay at the cabin. We got lost on the way there and called the owner and she picked up right away and stayed on the line until we found the cabin. The next morning we went up to 49 Degrees North and had a great day skiing and nice evening soaking in the sunset while sitting in a hot tub.

Nice house and location
Overall a great stay, location is beautiful and house is well equipped, though as we were 8 people we struggled with finding enough duvets for everyone. The host had provided the wrong code for check in and we waiting for over 30 mins in freezing temperatures to get a response with the correct code. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and when we had an issue with the hot tub, the host responded promptly. Cleaning could have been more thorough, especially under furniture. Best part: hot tub with amazing view of the lake!

Maria, you guys are fantastic guests! Thank you for taking such good care of our home. We are excited to have you coming back to Deer Lake next year, thanks for rebooking with us! 💕
We spent 5 wonderful nights here. Our days were filled with watching the kids swim, laugh, boat, even our dog had a great time swimming from the dock everyday. We were lucky enough to be there while there was a floating concert. So fun! The house was well stocked with a lot of thoughtful touches like coffee and pellets for the traeger. We were able to bring our boat everything was just so easy and relaxing. Billie was a fabulous host and so easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back. It was a magical 5 days on the lake.
