Villa Artemis is located just 5 minutes from Vlicho village. The villa is on 2 floors with the living accommodation on the first floor to give outstanding views over Vlicho Bay and surrounding countryside. The design of the villa was created by the owners and as you will see from the photographs, it is finished to a very high quality with large open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. There is access through patio doors from the large open-plan kitchen, lounge, and bedrooms to the terraces. 3 Large bed rooms with 2 large en - suite bathrooms and family bathroom beside bedroom 2. A stairway leads down to the private pool from the terrace, and inside from the Lounge to the garage. The garage is situated on the ground floor. A marble stairway leads from the garage to the first floor There is a Studio apartment on the ground floor with a double sofa bed, kitchen & bathroom. 2 Fold down beds available. Patio doors lead onto the terrace & pool. There is a lift from the garage to the first floor which is suitable for a wheelchair. Bathroom 3 has a large shower, suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems.
The doors are wide enough to allow wheelchair access. Large patio areas on first and ground floor at pool. Villa is situated in the middle of the island 10 minutes from Nidri. and 30 minutes to Lefkas Town in the north and Vasilliki in the south. Easy access to beaches & Lefkas town. Very private villa with beautiful views over Vlycho Bay & Tranquil bay. Supermarket, Bakery & Petrol station 10 minutes walk from villa.

Fantastic villa, great holiday.

We stayed at the villa in 2013 and returned 2015. Beautiful villa with good facilities as described. Roma is very hospitable and friendly and provided good customer care, information of Lefkas, restaurants and attractions. We have booked to come back in 2016. Wonderful Holiday !!!! We have recommended the villa to friends and relatives. Very highly recommended.

Great location for a family holiday

The property had a beautiful elevated location with wonderful views. There is lots of space and a lovely pool area with plenty of loungers and towels provided. Plenty of parking and great upstairs space and facilities and the use of the studio downstairs was a great help - so too the offer to use it on the day of departure whilst the upstairs was prepared ready for the next guest. Bedrooms were spacious and effectively everyone had their own en-suite bath and shower which was great. Bessim the property manager and his family were lovely and helped us to feel at home straight away. Would thoroughly recommend and hope we have the opportunity to return one day.

Luxurious Villa with superb views& pool

As I am disabled, the villa is equipped with a lift and suitable for a wheelchair user. Beautiful villa with excellent facilities, terraces and swimming pool. Very well maintaintained villa. Excellent customer care and starter pack on arrival was very welcome. Great holiday. Ideal location as villa situated in the middle of the island on the east coast. Best villa ever !!!!

Overall good stay

The house sits in a nice heel with great view of Nidri. It is clean and spacious however there were few things that I wished I knew ahead of time: 1. Cleaning of the villa is only provided once per stay. We stayed 10 days and the 1 cleaning was not enough as were 8 people in the house. They did offer a second cleaning for a charge. This is little bit different compared to other stays that we have had in Greece where the owners were providing more than 1 cleaning for free. 2. Not enough towels, they give you only one towel per person again it creates the inconvenience of now needing to do laundry to ensure you have clean towels. This was again different compared to my previous experiences with renting a villa in Greece as clean towels in previous years were given to us on daily bases. 3. Limited daily wi-fi, only 10GB per day not enough when you go with a big family. However once I brought this up to the owner they were able to then increase it to unlimited. We did enjoy the views on the villa which are amazing. The pool was nice to have for kids on those days that we felt lazy going on the beach. Usually most known beaches are approximately 45-60min away.

A little paradise away from crowds

In this very strange summer of the virus we wanted to avoid crowded places and get somewhere that could accommodate someone with mobility issues. We found the villa and the island of Lefkada perfect for all our specific needs. We travelled to a few nice beaches and places that were not crowded and people were helpful, including using the Seatrac system at Lygia beach to allow a wheelchair user to enter the sea. The villa was quiet, pretty and well furnished. It is also located centrally so easy access to many parts of Lefkada. Thank you for a great holiday!

We enjoy sailing and had a boat at Craobh Marina 30 minutes south of Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. In 2004, Richard read an article in a Boating magazine about Lefkas Marina and within 1 month we arrived in Lefkas! We fell in love with the island which is very green and and reminded us of the West coast of Scotland, especially looking out from Nidri to Scorpios (Onassis's Island) and the other islands. In 2005, we bought the land which has a stunning view over Vlicho Bay and Nidri. The Villa designed by Richard was completed in October 2007. We retired and moved out to the Villa in March 2008, bought a yacht and enjoyed the villa & sailing with friends and family. We feel very privileged to live our dream on Lefkas.

Why they chose this property

The villa is situated at the head of Vlicho bay with panoramic views of the bay, surrounding hills. Vlicho, Nidri and Geni. It is a very private villa, quiet location but is only 5 minutes from Bakery, supermarket at Vlicho and tavernas, 8 minutes from Nidri and 30 minutes to Lefkas town and Vasseliki. The accessibility to shops and tavernas was a good reason we chose this location , not to mention the views which wowed us! Sitting on the patio, we can hear the goats' bells and watch the golden eagles flying between the hills. The yachts, boats and the ferry to Meganissi can be seen from the patio. We love the quietness and peace of the villa. The ferry goes from Nidri to Cephalonia and Ithaka daily. There is the opportunity to have 1 or 2 days sailing from Nidri for those who would like the experience of sailing . !! You can rent a motor boat & explore the islands & Meganissi. Easy access to water sports at Nidri, windsurfing at Vasiliki, paragliding & diving available. Location of villa is ideal for exploring the island. There are many lovely beaches to visit. The east coast beaches have stones but the west coast beaches are sandy. !! There is a lovely sandy beach at Pondi beside Vasilliki which is very safe for children. The water is very shallow & you have quite a way to walk until it is deep enough for swimming. At the north of the island the beach has a mixture of stones & sand. !! There are many lovely walks on the island.

What makes this property unique

One of the benefits that the villa has is a lift which can take 2 persons and a wheelchair. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair. The en-suite in Bedroom 3 has a walk- in shower, with hand rail and stool. The Lift and Shower were designed to accommodate people with mobility problems & wheelchair. Therefore for people with mobility problems the villa is easily accessible from ground to first floor. The large garage door allows direct access from the car to the lift. All Bedrooms open out onto the large tiled patio. There are large terraced areas for sunbathing, around the first floor. The ground floor and pool area are surrounded with a spacious terrace and large terraced area at the side of the villa. Everyone can find their own secluded spot which is the beauty of having so many terraced areas. There is a large umbrella & a smaller umbrella beside the pool. Sun loungers, chairs & small stools for drinks. Teardrop shaped pool has one depth - 1.27m. & the size is 36sqm .A Life Air Ring is attached to the railing. & a board with Pool Instructions.
There are 2 sets of steps into the pool. !!! There are stone steps with a steel handrail for easy access & for people with mobility problems. There is a pool stair way with steel steps & a handrail. There are various plastic rings & beds for use in the pool.
Goggles & Flippers for snorkelling.
The top terrace has 2 wooden tables & 2 umbrellas. 8 wooden chairs & 6 plastic chairs. The Gas BBQ is situated on the back terrace. The sun is on the back terrace in the evening which is ideal for having a BBQ.
