About this property

Detached 19th Century Stone Farmhouse

Set in just under an acre of safe secluded gardens, situated in a rural hamlet, 2kms from Mohon with a boulangerie and other amenities. The house is extremely comfortable. Attractively furnished and spacious, with large chestnut beams and wood or tiled floors throughout. Upstairs has four large bedrooms, two with double beds and two with twin beds(additional sleeping accommodation available including a cot), family bathroom and separate wc. Downstairs consists of a fully equipped kitchen with brand new units, a huge 40 foot dining/sitting room, cloakroom and wc. The sitting area has modern brand new furniture and comfortably seats 8 adults, TV and DVD player and a magnificent inglenook fireplace.
Situated in the heart of Brittany, 10kms from the medieval town of Josselin and within a short distance of other historical towns such as Dinan and Vannes and all the attractions of the Gulf of Morbihan. Excellent beaches on both north and south coasts within easy reach.

Relaxing break

Property was full of rustic charm. Well equipped and well positioned for the centre of Brittany. Very comfortable accommodation & hope to return for another visit.

Our stay in Mohon

We absolutely loved our stay in Coetservy, Mohon. The house was very spacious and well equipped, with plenty of room for 2 families to sit and eat together inside and outside. The kids loved playing badminton and cricket in the garden. Quite remote, but only a short walk to Mohon for a drink and lots of walks from the house. Josselin and Ploemel close by for supplies, shops and meals out (15 min drive). The house was a bit dark, and creaky bit i would expect that for an old property, and the beds could have been a bit more comfortable, but we were otherwise happy. There are 2 lakes nearby that offer swimming and watersports with beaches which we all enjoyed.

Rapport qualité/prix décevant

Points positifs : Logement spacieux, environnement rural, calme, nombre de couchages important. Points négatifs : accueil : plus aucune nouvelle de notre hôte une fois arrivés, pas d'état des lieux entrant ni sortant. Pas de précision concernant les horaires et lieux de ramassage des poubelles. La communication, quand elle existe, se fait uniquement en anglais. L'endroit est désert: nécessité d'avoir une voiture. Logement sombre, trop chauffé, impossible d'ouvrir les fenêtres des chambres pour aérer. Equipement : la télévision ne comporte qu'une chaîne en anglais! Pas possible d'utiliser la douche, heureusement, celle de la baignoire fonctionne. Matériel de cuisine : obsolète, manquant, dépareillé, parfois cassé ( nous trouvons une cafetière au fond rempli de calcaire et de rouille ) En résumé des tarifs bien trop élevés ( 770 euros la semaine du 29/01 au 05/02/23 !) en rapport au confort offert par le logement.

A very nice property in a small hamlet but with a quaint village nearby and a very beautiful town (Josselin) 10 km away. Good base for exploring Brittany.

Difficulté de communication la prioritaire étant anglaise et ne parlant pas le français A notre arrivée ménage très moyen, Surprise aucune réception en français pour la télé, vidéo à disposition uniquement en anglais! Le micro-onde ne fonctionne pas, le couple d'anglais en charge du contact nous en apporte un le lendemain matin 2eme jour nous informons que le four de la gazinière non seulement n'est pas très propre mais également qu'il ne fonctionne pas. On nous livre un mini four le lendemain 3eme jour au soir un volet de chambre au premier étage se détache du mur intervention le lendemain matin toujours du même couple d’ailleurs très gentil mais avec quelques difficultés de traduction !! dans l'ensemble la vaisselle pas adaptée pour 5 personnes (alors que la location est possible pour 9!) pas de cafetière, que 4 bols, couverts aux manches cassés, seulement 2 petites poêles taille pancake! batterie de cuisine plus que douteuse...... Par contre le jardin très sympa sans prétention et très pratique pour les enfants literie confortable fourniture de linge de maison ok Nous ne retournerons pas dans cette location et sur le site français Abritel devrait veiller à ce qu'une location réservée en France ne soit pas gérer uniquement en anglais !

L'endroit et la maison sont agréables, en revanche : - la maison manque de lumière (maison tricentenaire, pas de baie vitrée). - le jardin manque de lumière (beaucoup d'arbres). - la douche est à entretenir (pommeau de douche et évacuation). - le lave-vaisselle était en panne. Nous sommes partis avant que le problème ait été résolu.

A great large house with a massive garden. Very tranquil but only a 20 min drive to a supermarket.

We had a lovely holiday, relaxing in the beautiful house and garden with the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. We visited stunning lakes nearby, enjoyed cycling along the tranquil canal and visited amazing beaches and picturesque towns. The children enjoyed playing in the spacious garden. A lovely venue for a memorable holiday. Communication with the owner was easy and responses helpful and quick.We would thoroughly recommend this holiday rental property .
