Chalet on small peaceful site with shared heated outdoor pool.

3 bedroom newly refurbished chalet in Matchams, Christchurch. Private fenced garden with patio. There is a pool on site parking for 2 cars. Lake and picnic area attached to site. Nearest beach is about 10 minutes in the car. Christchurch is 10 minute drive away. Local shop is 5 minutes and is open quite late. The site is quiet and friendly. If you prefer to be alone you can be. All residents on site live there, and will always give you advice if required. We have a patio area with table and chairs and a gas bar be q a car is needed for this property.
PLEASE NOTE ELECTRIC Is Via A COIN METER £1 Or £2 coins.

It is stated that a car is required at the chalet. But it is quite central for ringwood christchurch etc. Christchurch being approx 15 minutes away. Glad you enjoyed your stay

A lovely retreat away from it all

We had such a lovely stay here exploring Dorset and the New Forest and the chalet was a nice, quiet retreat to come back to at the end of the day! We'll be back to explore more I'm sure

Fantastic holiday let

Fabulous property with more than home from home feel with everything you can think of and more , spotless throughout and the smell of fresh bedding throughout the chalet , light and airy and three bedrooms with master leading out to side garden through patio doors ,where there is seating and table also barbecue and stove outside , and right out the front of the property is a well maintained outdoor pool , whenever we need to stay down south again we will definitely be booking this holiday let , .

It was very nice holiday. We enjoyed it very much. Only the cooker and extractor fan not work properly and the electric meter is on £1 coins which goes very fast for just normal use.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We have done a lot of renovation at the chalet. The cooker is fully workable but are looking to replace at sometime. Your visit was in February so it is quite cold and the heating needs to be on more. In warmer times of the year the heaters are not used.

A quiet week in a spacoius chalet after an unpleasant start

The limited space has been used well in the chalet, making it feel quite spacious. Right in front of the door is the swimming pool, which the children immediately wanted to use. Before settling in, it was necessary to clean first, as it was really too dirty to stay. This was very disappointing to us and we immediately reported it to the owner. The "camping" is a collection of chalets around an outdoor swimming pool. We had expected more families with children when we chose a camping during holiday time, but outside the weekend there was hardly anyone present. This allowed us to use the swimming pool privately, but we had been expecting more company for the children. Although there are beds for 6 people, there is room to eat with 4 people. After the unpleasant start, we had a nice, quiet week in the holiday home.

Superbes vacances

Nos enfants ont beaucoup apprécié la piscine. L'endroit est calme et les voisins très respectueux. La terrasse est spacieuse et orientée sud. Il y a un barbecue au gaz et quelques chaises supplémentaires pour inviter des amis à l'extérieur. La mer n'est pas très loin. On a passé des bons moments en famille.

No se informó que debía pagar la luz diariamente con una máquina que solo aceptaba monedas.

Una pena la puntuación pero es lo correcto. El lodge y el lugar donde se encuentra fenomenal pero el hecho de que tuviera que pagar la luz diariamente hace que no lo recomiende y no considero correcto que no venga la información en la web. Encima la máquina solo aceptaba monedas de 1 o 2 pounds, con el problema añadido que al ser festivos era muy complicado conseguir monedas. Ningún negocio abierto a menos de 4 km, sin coche y lloviendo. Teniendo en cuenta las bajas temperaturas y necesitaba calefacción, gasté cada día 6 libras y dos veces hubo que reponer monedas dado que de madrugada me quedaba sin luz.

A lovely quiet chalet

‘My Dream’ chalet was lovely, clean, spacious and in a very peaceful location. Swimming pool would have been lovely right outside the door, but not open for the time of year we were there. Disappointed with no WiFi even though it’s listed as being in place. Also missing from listing is the need for £1/£2 coins for electric meter (bit in 5 nights we only used £3 worth. ) It’s certainly a place I would stay again, and was perfect for touring the area.

John and I (Pauline) purchased the chalet last summer. We were out for the day not intending to buy. We live in Bristol but it has always been my dream to have a holiday home in the New Forest, and eventually retire to that area. We have spent many wonderful times in the New Forest recently and in the past when our boys were young. It is such a relaxing place to be and we always feel de-stressed when we are there. We had a few weekends down there in 2009 with friends. The site is small, quiet and in an excellent spot. We live and work in Bristol, so it is a great Bolt hole the peace and quiet is wonderful.

Why they chose this property

The area is so peaceful and beautiful. We are very close to Christchurch and surrounding beaches. It is a small and friendly site. We live is Bristol where the pace of life is very fast, going to the New Forest for a break is lovely and easy for us to get to, no motorway and it takes maximum of 2 hours. We work very hard while at home John runs a butchery department in a farm shop and I work for City of Bristol College. We just like peace and quiet with nice walks, good food and company while we are away.

What makes this property unique

Total peace and quiet.
We now have grandchildren, who just love the chalet as much as we do. My young grandson calls it the shadow, he could not pronounce chalet when tiny and the shadow has always stuck.
