The unit was clean and the new bathroom was lovely. Most of the kitchen supplies were tired and well used. The balcony with soaking pool was in rough shape with loose nails, loose boards and a very tired umbrella and furnishings. The location of the unit was very close to the central square which had advantages & disadvantages; approximately 70 steep stairs to climb, loud music until 3-4 am every night. We found out that if all the windows( which were very good quality) we’re closed and a fan was on until morning you couldn’t hear much of the party noise. The unit had very good locks & windows in a nice area so we felt very safe. Had a bit of difficulty finding the unit after dark on our first night but hostess was quick to respond & offer guidance.

Know what to expect

Let's start on a positive note: from the house, the large beach is just a few minutes walk away. Small purchases can be done as well, for the weekly shopping it is not far by car to various supermarkets. With three people you will find enough space and the house offers what you need in everyday life. Compared to other vacation homes we know, the equipment was rather minimal: detergent, washing powder, spices ... you should buy everything at the beginning right away. Speaking of the washing machine ... As with many other things in and around the house, it would need to be replaced. The two biggest problems, however, are the noise and the cleanliness: from 8 p.m. on, the music of the various bars and pubs starts in the village, plus live concerts. The mixture of music penetrates up the hill to the house until 4 o'clock in the morning. You can hear it very clearly even with the windows closed - although you would like to open them, because there is no air conditioning. After 4 o'clock, you can listen for a while to the drunken partygoers staggering home, bawling as they go. Every day! Unfortunately, the house was not clean when we arrived, but this was quickly made up for the following day after a brief feedback. Unfortunately, there are some areas in the house that have apparently not been cleaned for months (handrail of the stairs, shelf for pots and pans, lighting in the kitchen, ...). The dishes we have also completely rinsed again before use.

Perfekte Wohnung

Die Wohnung war sehr schön, alles da was man braucht(wie zuhause). Pool mit Blick auf Albufeira, i love it! Aber der Lärm aus den Lokalen bis 4:00 Uhr morgens ist echt störend! Man kann erst ab 4:00 Uhr die Fenster öffnen, schade! Ansonsten wäre es eine glatte 1!

A Lovely Get-a-way

We had a great time exploring the area and enjoyed our stay very much. Once the weather was sunny we made good use of the balcony and deck area! Kitchen was well equipped and new bathroom to boot!

Hi, we are the owners of this traditional and rustic townhouse in the heart of Albufeira. We love everything about our lovely home and the area it is in, we try to get there as much as possible to enjoy the weather and meet up with lovely people we now call our friends.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the Algarve on our first visit and bought our home almost immediately, it was exactly what we were looking for. The lovely people, relaxed atmosphere and lovely climate sealed the deal for us.

We have spent alot of time renovating our home to make it as comfortable and inviting for us and our guests as possible, it is a real home from home and we are sure you will love it as much as we do.
