About this property

Chalet L'eau Vive, affectionately known as Heidi House, is a traditional stand alone chalet set in a small hamlet in the beautiful village of Samoens. The chalet is arranged over 3 floors, with 4 bedrooms, 2 living areas, large open plan kitchen, it can comfortably accommodate 8 people. The chalet enjoys magnificent mountain views and a very peaceful natural location. Forests behind the chalet and a small river running through the garden make this a nature lovers paradise. Discover one of the most incredible areas in the French Alps - Samoens with all it's tradition and culture, is located in the Vallée du Giffre, only 1 hours drive from Geneva International Airport. Samoens is a French Alps resort with a difference, soaked in tradition and beautiful stone buildings as its architecture, this village is a dream. It is part of the Grand Massif ski area with 256km of piste for all levels.

The chalet is situated 2km from Samoens centre and 1.5km from the new Vercland ski lift. A car is required to stay at the chalet.

There are 4 bedrooms, all with beautiful views, 3 bedrooms have double beds and 1 bedroom has 2 single beds. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms on the top floor, making it ideal for 2 families sharing.

There is a full family bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC on the ground floor. A shower room with large shower and basin is available on the middle floor. There is a separate WC on the middle floor.

The kitchen is at the heart of the chalet and is a large open plan kitchen which is well equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, Nespresso machine, recipe books, baking essentials etc.

There is a small room as you walk in which is useful to store boots and jackets. There is a small ski room outside for storing your skis and snowboards. The washing machine is in the family bathroom.

There are 2 living rooms in the chalet. The main living room is on the middle floor, and has large comfy sofas, great views and a traditional wood burning fireplace. The second living area is a cosy mezzanine which has sofas, TV and DVD - great for kids!

Towels and bedlinen are included in the price. The price also includes cleaning at the end of your stay.

Chalet d'alpage bien nommé "Heidi"

Nous avons apprécié : - l'authenticité du chalet et son agencement cosy - son grand volume habitable, les deux salles de bain et wc - son chauffage efficace et surtout le plaisir d'une bonne cheminée - les équipements de cuisine sans critique - la tranquillité du site bercé par le bruit d'une petite cascade Par contre : il n'y pas de réseau TV ce que n'appréciait pas nos deux adolescents ( le débit wifi est correct, prévoir le PC pour regarder vos séries TV favorites) La neige n'était pas comprise dans le séjour. Peut-être une chance pour l'accessibilité au chalet. Dans le cas de neige importante les pneus neige et les chaînes seront incontournables. L'été ce chalet en alpage est certainement idéal pour nous renvoyer en enfance avec le souvenir des aventures d'Heidi. Globalement nous avons passé ujn excellent séjour, à recommander ! PS : les hôtes ne communiquent principalement qu'en Anglais

Loved the chalet

We loved the chalet, it was clean, the kitchen offered everything we needed (and even a lot more) and it was just a 3 min trip to the gondola! We would definitely come back!

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cette endroit magnifique, le chalet est bien équipé avec plusieurs activités à faire à proximité notamment les randonnées dans SIXT FER À CHEVAL

We enjoyed are stay however the indication that the property is 0.2 miles from the lift station is very misleading as it is 1.4 k and not a suitable walk . It should be made clear that it is essential to have a vehicle when staying at the property.

We have loved coming to Samoens for the past 12 years, as we live only one hour away. We have spent many weekends renovating the chalet, which was named ''Heidi House'' because of it's setting. It had no running water nor electricity! A few good stories came out of this project, as you can imagine. We love to welcome people to our special place and also to the amazing area, where there is so much beauty to explore and time to relax and restore your energy.

Why they chose this property

The chalet caught our hearts immediately, with the amazing views, sounds of the forest and river, we were totally sold!

We really appreciate all the area has to offer, the Samoens village remains traditional and the local people are so warm hearted. It only takes us one hour from Geneva, so a perfect weekend house for us and our family to enjoy when guests are not there enjoying it for us.

What makes this property unique

We love the convenience of the Chalet, it is close enough to the village to enjoy but also far enough away to have the feeling of really getting away from it all.

The chalet is situated in a very peaceful area ... we have a stream running through the property and their is nothing better than being in a warm comfy bed listening to the stream ...total peace.

The garden allows for great fun, especially for children in winter as after a good days skiing they are able to toboggan to their hearts content with the gentle slopes surrounding the chalet.
