Fantastic stay in private villa

Never booked anywhere aboard on Owners direct so wanted to write a review. Because of this I was a little nervous but these feelings were soon gone when we arrived. Beautiful villa that we throughly enjoyed staying at. Owners greeted us with a welcome hamper with some essentials for the fridge. Well equipped with linen, towels, soap, etc. Villa was very secluded so a car is a must. Followed google maps which took us straight there. We're not included to visit the same place twice but if we were we would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone wanting a villa with a lot of privacy. Thank you again The Jordan's

Very nice house, garden and pool, great location!

We had an excellent stay. Spent a fair amount of time in the property, enjoying the pool and garden mostly, but also having BBQs. Outside, beaches are very easy to reach (even if parking was tricky at times, but eh, it's busy in August). And so much to do otherwise! Obidos is very close (15-10 minutes), or Alcobaca (35-40 minutes). Caldas da Rainha, the local town, is quite interesting too. Big thanks to the owners, Victoria and Antonio, who really made us feel welcome. I know it's a cliche, but the photos don't do the property justice. For instance, the two upstairs bathrooms have been recently redone, and have fantastic showers. It really is a great place, we all loved it, and will hapilly return in a few years when our child is old enough to surf and visit more historical places.

Herrliches Urlaubsdomizil

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Quinta da Saude in vollen Zügen genossen. Das historische Haus, der große Garten und der erfrischende Pool sind sehr atmosphärisch und sehr gepflegt! Die Ausstattung ist vollständig und der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Lage des Hauses hat uns ebenfalls seh gut gefallen und war ein prima Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ans Meer und zu den vielen sehenswerten Orten in der Region. Intensiv genutzt haben wir den Pool, die “Outdoor-Küche” mit Grill sowie das tolle Billard-Zimmer. Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder, Vielen Dank!

It was a pleasure having this family at my house. They new how to take advantage of the location of the house to see other villages and beaches as well as enjoy the house conditions like the pool, billiard and barbecue. I look forward to welcome them again.

Paradisiaque

Superbe villa dans un emplacement calme et bucolique. La piscine et le billard sont plus qu'appréciables. La proximité de la forêt permet de faire de jolies balades. Les villes d'Obidos, Nazaré ou encore Alcobaça sont proches et offrent de superbes visites. Parfait !!!

Se ressourcer pleinement au Portugal

Situé dans un bourg à 5 min de Caldas da Reinha, la quinta est la dernière du village, en surplomb de la vallée. Pas de voisins proches et un calme idéal pour les journées et soirées. La maison est grande pour une famille de 5 ou +. Les 3 chambres ont une salle de bain/toilettes attenante + un 4eme toilette. Terrasse ombragée et fraîcheur permettent de ne pas souffrir de la chaleur. Piscine (entretenue 2 fois par semaine), barbecue et salle de jeux avec billard sont là pour se détendre pleinement. En plus du marché quotidien de fruits et légumes (locaux !) à Caldas, on trouvera de nombreuses visites à faire: Obidos, cité médiévale, Peniche et sa côté sauvage, les monastères d'Alcobaça ou Batalha, la ville des Templiers: Tomar ou à un peu plus d'une heure de route: Lisbonne ou Sintra. C'est un lieu idéal pour découvrir la région !

A nossa familia pretendia uma casa de família acolhedora, suficente para uma família grande, privada, com piscina, espaço exterior e espaço para jogos para nos entreter. Un descanso estupendo

Estuvimos diez días muy cómodos y muy a gusto en la quinta. Por circunstacias excepcionales hicimos un selfcheck-in sin dificultad, y aunque no tuvimos mucha suerte con el tiempo, la quinta nos ofreció una estancia en la que disfrutamos plenamente: tiene personalidad, es muy tranquila y privada pero muy bien comunicada con servicios y visitas en coche. Hicimos los cuatro muy buen uso del jardín, de la piscina y la barbacoa con numerosos muebles y utensilios. Los hijos adolescentes disfrutaron de un buen wi-fi y un salon muy acogedor y los mayores disfrutamos especialmente de la mesa de billar. Usamos los dormitorios superiores para el descanso, un poco oscuros, pero con duchas estupendas ambos. Uno de ellos ha cambiado la estructura de las camas, no son como en la foto. En la cocina no echamos nada en falta y eso que la usamos todos los días. Funcional y bien equipada. Es necesario llevar los ingredientes básicos o ir a la compra al llegar (a 15 min en Caldas) , pues no hay ese "colchón" que tienen otros alojamientos similares. Necesitamos de una pequeña asistencia en la casa que fue atendida con gran rapidez y eficiencia. En resumen, unas vacaciones estupendas de desconexión y descanso en una quinta cómoda y muy portuguesa, que es lo que nos gusta. Gracias mil a Victória por su ayuda en las gestiones y a Isabel. Férias merecidas

Foram as férias que precisávamos, local sossegado, só nós e a natureza. Casa bonita, bem equipado, com um jardim é uma piscina incrível que adoramos e fizeram a delícia dos mais novos. Fizemos ótimos churrascos e belas partidas de snooker.

Férias pós confinamento!

É um espaço fantástico! As férias que precisávamos depois de 4 meses "fechados" num apartamento. Excelente jardim com piscina! Quase todas as refeições foram à base de grelhados e adoramos poder jogar snooker à vontade. Local muito sossegado!

Idyllic, relaxing and quiet property with a superb pool

For us, Quinta de Saude was the ideal holiday home - beautifully situated, well maintained and with a pool area that the kids (and the adults) absolutely loved. The rooms are very generous, and the living spaces cosy, while there are three separate areas for outside eating which is great for catching the sun at whatever time of day. Location-wise, it was perfect for us - very quiet and away from it all - 20 minutes' drive to the beach at Foz Do Arelho and the beautiful town of Obidos. The nearest big supermarket is 10 mins away by car, which is about the same distance to the nearest restaurants. Victoria and Antonio were there to greet us and were on hand to help with a couple of questions we had, which was very useful. They also provided a welcome hamper, which was most thoughtful. The only thing that we were slightly disappointed with were some aspects of the kitchen. We found that there were certain things that we couldn't find (for example, a peeler, a sieve, smaller pans, baking/roasting trays) which made us improvise a little bit. The other thing was that there were no basics in the kitchen - salt, pepper, oil, etc - which are, in properties we've stayed in the past, usually there when you arrive. These are really minor quibbles though. I can't recommend this place enough if you want a relaxing, beautiful holiday away from it all.

Belle maison et très joli jardin

Antonio et Victoria sont très sympathiques et réactifs, le jardin est très bien entretenu ainsi que la maison, la salle de billard est agréable ainsi que la piscine très appréciée par notre fils de 9 ans. Nous avons passé un bon séjour, la région est belle avec de beaux villages à visiter. Le seul hic fut le temps qui n'était pas assez chaud le matin et le soir, du coup nous n'avons pas pu beaucoup profiter des terrasses (dommage au mois d'aout). Et juste une petite remarque concernant la vaisselle, les verres mériteraient d être changé et la terrasse côté cuisine devrait être karcheriser. Mais sinon tout était très bien. Good location but in need of modernisation

Pros: This property is in a quiet area and is great for relaxing, it is not overlooked by any other property and you have clear views into the 'valley'. Clean pool and well-maintained garden. The villa retains some original features. Good showers in the upstairs bathrooms. Good beaches in easy access from Caldas da Rainha, we preferred to venture a little further up the coast to San Martinho do Porto. Good communication between the owners, they responded very quickly when a problem arose. Cons: We found the cottage very dark and would benefit from better lighting throughout. Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable - too hard downstairs and too soft upstairs, but this can be easily rectified. Poorly designed kitchen - difficult to access the sink and dishwasher simultaneously. Pots and pans, and some of the cups need replacing - easily rectified. Downstairs bathrooms could be upgraded, but luckily we were able to use the upstairs shower rooms. I understand that it is good to maintain some original features, but I'm sure some adjustments could be made to make the stay more comfortable. Take care - the villa has low ceilings in the upstairs rooms as the rooms are built into the roof.

Quinta Da Saude

We had a lovely reaxing 2 weeks at Quinta da Saude. The house is well equipped and the garden is beautiful.The house is at the top of a hill with gorgeous views of surrounding countryside. The children (4,12,15) loved the swimming pool and the pool room. Although in a rural location, the local town is a short drive,Caldos da Rainha,and has plenty of shops and restaurants and a lovely daily food market. The house is in a great location for exploring the surrounding area and many lovely beaches and towns. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return again! Louise Byrne and Family

Quinta da Saude

We had a fabulous time here, with our 3 children (9-12). The location is fabulous and is not at all overlooked. Perched on the top of the hill, it keeps the house cool at night. The views are great and the garden is really well maintained. There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, from beaches to sailing on the lagoon, and visiting historical towns. The local restaurants all in easy reach, are all really good, and very family friendly. We have decided to go back again for another visit.
