Loved our getaway to this magical place on the water. The views and laying on the dock were heavenly. Loved seeing all kinds of birds swoop across the waters. House was elegantly decorated, clean, and spacious. Enjoyed every moment! Thank you for having us’
Nice, relaxing home. Downstairs game room was very comfortable. 30 minute drive to airport. Close to many friendly restaurants. Great amenities. Backyard is great place to barbecue and relax.
My family stayed at the property in July on 2021 for my Parents Weekend during my son's plebe summer for USNA. We decided to stay here again for my son's commissioning week as he graduated near 4 years later. We enjoyed a week of happiness as a family that we will never forget. The house and property were awesome for us.
We had such a wonderful time, looking at the bay from every window. Such a cute and charming house on one of the Chesapeake Bay inlets (protected from the wind of the main part of the bay). Nice enough to kayak in November, outdoor bonfire and s'mores, huge front area to throw the football, such a beautiful area.
We had a wonderful stay in Pasadena. Melinda was a very responsive host. Her home is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. We had everything we needed, including delicious restaurant recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful weekend with my sisters!

We visited the last week of March for a nearby wedding. The house is super cool, right on the creek with a ton of awesome built-in amenities. An easy drive to Annapolis, DC and Baltimore, but off the beaten path enough to feel the peace and quiet on the creek. Melinda was super helpful and responsive to all of our questions and needs!
This was our second stay and it didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was better due to our he additional updates the the house and the pier. The entire family has a blast swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and relaxing under the trees. The neighborhood 4th of July festivities are top notch. We hope to return again soon.
We enjoyed quiet mornings and evenings watching the water. There are restaurants, grocery stores, and seafood marts in the area that made meals easy, but if want to cook the kitchen is very well equipped! Getting into Baltimore and to a park in the area was easy enough. Nothing we went to was more than 30 minutes away. When we came home at the end of our adventures we found all the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were quite nice. We enjoyed meeting the neighbor as well.
This immaculate house is on a quiet creek/inlet. Kayaking, fishing, crabbing - it’s at your back door. The sunrise is spectacular while you have your morning coffee next to the water. An osprey hung out in a tree by the back deck. Inside plenty of space for games or work. Recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. It was very relaxing to spend time next to the water on the house's dock. We also enjoyed taking out the kayaks and playing games such as corn hole. The location and house was a just a fun place to be.
There was not a single item in the kitchen or elsewhere that we needed. The owner was very responsive to my questions. We would definitely come back again.
This home is very well maintained. With 6 adults, we had more than enough room. We enjoyed fishing from the spacious dock, relaxing in the hammock, playing badminton and a nice fire and s'mores every night. The home has a well stocked kitchen for cooking meals. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this home. We stayed for a weekend but there would have been plenty to do for a whole week. Next time, we'll enjoy the kayaks and bicycles and hopefully catch a crab dinner.
Spaces for all together and separate. Feels like a world away yet convenient to restaurants, airport and activities.
Beds comfortable. Quality super clean towels.
Lots to do inside and outside.
Bob and Melinda reply immediately.
Even on rainy days property positioned such that you feel you are on the water.
Love washer dryer.
Laminate flooring main level easy to maintain and just have fun.
Hope to stay again.
Our three boys and their girlfriends joined us at this fantastic property on a channel leading to the Chesapeake only 35 minutes to Annapolis.
The house was beautifully decorated. The kitchen had every utensil you could possibly need. We steamed the crabs iwe caught with the pots Bob and Melinda provided. (Steamer was also provided). Our boys and their partners crabbed and fished on the dock and kayaked on the channel. On land we played cornhole, badminton and lacrosse (all provided).
One night we chatted around the firelight after grilling burgers and ribs on the barbecue. The house is situated so you can enjoy the sunset and sunrise if you’re an early riser.
Bob (the owner) came by twice in his very impressive new boat and took us all the way to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and even let us have a go behind the wheel. He also gave us a quick fishing lesson.
All in all it was an absolute pleasure to find this gem of a house. We are already looking forward to coming back again!
Such a charming and well appointed home with cozy couches, comfortable beds and the most amazing view. Worked out perfectly for my two kids and my parents and my husband and me to have a home base while we were in town for a family wedding. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us!
The property was very well maintained,, cleaned, and equipped. Our family enjoyed our stay! Property owners are very responsive and made our stay very comfortable. Would highly recommend booking this listing if you are looking for a place to stay!
We stayed for a few days over the holidays. A half way point for our families to get together. The house was PERFECT! Clean, cozy, well maintained. Lots of things to do locally. And we had nice enough weather to enjoy the fire pit every night.
We had a great week at this house. The location was convenient to get to as well as get to other things in the area - but felt remote enough to feel like we were away from it all.
The house and outside had plenty of spaces to gather or find some alone time.
Very good kitchen. Used the fire pit most nights. Some of us fished several days and used the crab trap all week.
Communication with the Owners was easy and they were quick to reply.
We would certainly stay here again.
This house is as close to perfect as it gets! Only downside. The crabs did not like the traps 🦀.
The kitchen is well stocked Everything you need for a relaxing stay is there. Chairs around the fire pit…Beautiful views. Comfortable beds.
The boat house has literally everything. Kayaks. Floats. Crab traps. Fishing poles All in great condition for family activities
Grocery stores are convenient. Local restaurants are almost within walking distance
Thanks Melinda for all your advice and once again sharing your lovely house. Hope to see you again this fall

This was a fantastic property and an even better area. Much of the house has been updated. Beds and bathrooms were very comfortable. We loved sitting on the water and by the fire pit in the evenings watching the fire flies come out. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and catching fish. Neighbors were very nice too. Very easy drive to Annapolis, Baltimore and DC.
We just checked out of Melinda’s place and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our time there. We enjoyed every part of the house. When other reviewers say the house has EVERYTHING… they truly mean everything. Even a small kids life jacket that fit our 3 yr old. It was the perfect location for our family before and after our wedding at Kurtz beach. Our nieces loved using the kayaks and trying to fish. They were staying at another property a few miles away and enjoyed our house more :) The back porch was perfect for picking crabs on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Safeway and Giant are super close if you need to grab anything. We highly recommend checking out 2 rivers steakhouse, Mike’s North and always best crabs for anyone staying here. Thanks again! The O’Meara!

We currently live in California, with frequent visits to Maryland. We love the outdoors and lead a very active lifestyle. Never a dull moment!
Why they chose this property
My husband, Bob, grew up coming to Pasadena, MD to spend the summer with family on the Back Creek. He learned how to waterski and boat on this creek. His parents ended up buying and building a house on Back Creek for their retirement. Our family of four, visited every summer and our two kids learned how to waterski and boat on Back Creek, just like their dad. We love it here! We love it so much that when the right piece of property came on the market we wanted to have a piece of Back Creek to call our own.
What makes this property unique
The views are amazing!! We love the large flat lot with plenty of room to play!
