The property is up on a hill with good views and very close to Badolato. It is one of our favorite villages and we had a treat with the Easter celebrations. It was a good base to explore the area. We felt welcomed.
Gorgeous peaceful mountain cottage overlooking the Ionian Sea.
My wife and I and her sister and husband traveled from Rome to Pompeii to Matera to Otsuni and to this cottage in Badolato all on a two week trip. All were two bedroom and two bath with kitchen VRBO rentals and this was our favorite. Very quite and peaceful on the mountain side just east of Badolato with amazing views of the mountains and ocean. There are trails through the olive groves, roads leading to interesting ruins, a vacant Convent next door, and gorgeous views. Very peaceful. Fabrizio left us a bottle of his great homemade wine. We explored the ancient villages of Badolato and Davoli. We enjoyed the nearby seashores. We spent one day just relaxing at the cottage, cooking our own meals, and taking an occasional hike. The views from the massive upstairs balcony were amazing. This is our third Italy trip and we have enjoyed staying at several Agritourismo lodgings and in small village rentals and this is our favorite.
Was man braucht..ist da.
The House in the area of Badolato was very fine, quite and cosy. Round about are Olive treeth and nature. The house inside was equiped with all things you need to cook, to stay outside, to chill. Everything is working. Fabrizio is a very friendly and reliable landlord which is giving every time little helps or tipps for a good staying. His restaurant „Catojo dello Spinetto“ is a dream for people which are loving fantastic, creative and local eating. The location is very typical and lovingly and the service is unbeatably friendly. All the time of staying in Badolato was like loving from the big Badolato family. In Badolato Borgo, in Badolato Marina ( especcially at the Beach Bar „L‘ancora“) and from Fabrizio.
Too bad we coudn‘t stay longer because of working. Ist was a very good time, lovely people and we hope that we are able to come back soon!
Greetings to Badolato Franco & Heike
We enjoyed our experience in this property and our interaction with the owner, Fabrizio. We were treated well and would highly recommend staying in this location.

Lovely location
Location was wonderful, peaceful and private set above the owner's (Fabrizio) olive groves. It is just a few minutes drive from Badalato borgo and the marina. Badalato borgo is a charming and very friendly village with a village shop run by the lovely Vittoria and many restaurants including a gelato shop. Fabrizio owns two of the restaurants which are very good.
The house is comfortable and Fabrizio is very helpful with resolving any small issues. We did have a problem with the internet but Fabrizio was tireless in resolving it - which he did.
Altogether it was a wonderful break and we would be happy to return.

Traumhafte Erholung
