We are only taking bookings for 4 people until January 1st 2024.
Set in the heart of Windermere village and the National Park. Gamekeepers cottage is a cosy holiday retreat, great for families or couples.
It has a huge garage for secure parking in a newly converted barn.
One minute walk to all amenities pubs and restaurants and a beautiful walk to the shores of Lake windermere and Bowness. There are coffee shops, Pubs, Chinese, Indian, Italian and many more fine dining experiences to be savoured on your doorstep.

A lovely quaint little place.

A wonderful place, filled with character. However, a little bit more detail on how to get into the property would be beneficial (e.g.1st laneway to the left off Hazel St, then the property driveway is 1st right off that laneway). Just a suggestion :-) We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Gatekeepers Cottage and Windermere.

Everything you need!

We stayed in the cottage for 2 nights and it was just what we needed, it is fairly compact but enough room for our family and we really enjoyed the location and being walking distance into Windermere. The stairs have a door on them so perfect for keeping our toddler safe, and also keeping the noise from the bedrooms. Was a great stay and would recommend this cottage.

Relaxing Break

Lovely cottage and situated brilliantly for all amenities. Clean, comfortable, well equipped and very good communication with owner. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again. Thank you to everyone for making our 3 day visit most enjoyable.
