The ancient Temple of Aphaia, dedicated to goddess Athena, is one of the architectural masterpieces of Ancient Greece and the most important archaeological site of the island, located in a pine forest looking the deep blue Aegean Sea. Another historical site of the island is the Temple of Apollo and the famous orthodox Monastery of Agios Nektarios. There is also a boat trip to the nearby island of Moni.
Aegina is located only 40 minutes from Piraeus with a flying dolphin or 1 hour and 15 minutes with a ferry boat. Piraeus is the closest port to Aegina Island. During summertime hydrofoils and boats depart from the port of Piraeus every 30 to 40 minutes. The distance from Athens international airport to Piraeus is approximately 1,5 hour by bus or 50 minutes by taxi.

A wonderful period property with true historical significance in the town of Aegina. The host was very communicative with perfect English and hospitable in every way. The location and amenities were all exactly as described. Our party of 5 adults were very comfortable throughout our stay. We will visit again.
I have never stayed in such a lovely family home before - clean, well-equipped, comfortable, private, interesting, quiet and so well located. Christos the host was so friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. It was great to have a quiet, large and shady garden to sit in.
While being very close to the harbor and restaurants, once you close the gate you are in a lovely garden and oasis from the town. we found the location perfect. my walked just a minute out the door to get coffee then relaxed in the garden every morning. the host is wonderful. Warm, friendly and available throughout our stay to help us with with snycee weu picked us up at the ferry. brought our luggage to the house. It’s his grandparents house. Filled with antiques and a sense of history and charm.
The property and garden were charming.
The decor and furnishings were traditional and comfortable. It was a spacious property inside and out. The outside space was surprisingly spacious and private considering that it was so central and it was well maintained with lovely plants.
We have stayed in many holiday properties over the years and felt lucky to have stayed in such a lovely property in the town of Aegina. If you would like a special experience in town, choose this and have a great holiday.
Also, Chris, the host, will make sure that your stay in the
property is as enjoyable as you could hope for
