The loveliest place..
If your dreams of a perfect holiday is a big house with a spa, luxus, white sandbeaches and in the middle of everything, this is not a place for you..
If your dreams of a perfect holiday is to stay on a small, beautiful and quiet island, in a small, cosy house with a breathtaking view to the sea and the most fantastic sunsets...
With the smell of fresh herbs, the buzz of the bees, surrounded by tomato- and eggplants, rosemary, thyme, oregano etc, on a mountain hill in a local village with a beautiful harbor and nice people....... Then this might be the right place for you.
In july 2015 we spent two fantastic weeks in this beautiful place, and we would for sure love to come back one day.
We were a family with 5/6 adults (oh yes, the fridge was a bit too small for so many persons) and we brought our own boat. Ivan and Anna were kind to help us finding a place for it. The island is a perfect starting point for daytrips to the sea and we found small lagunes for swimming and sunbathing. We also went to Kornati Islands and Krka waterfalls.
If you do not have a boat yourself, daytrips by boat can easily be bought.
On Prvic island there is a small supermarket, where you can buy the most necessary things. Otherwise you can go with a ferry or taxiboat to Vodice, where they have bigger supermarkets, green markets and butchers. There are also a lot of restaurants and in the evening the town really comes alive...
On Prvic there are also nice restaurants at the waterfront.
The island is car-free, but Ivan and Anna knows a place where you can park your car on the mainland, so if you wanna go sightseeing in Sibenik or other places by car that is possible, too.
Bring as little luggage as possible (we had a lot, and it was the days work-out to bring it upstairs on arrival and downstairs when we left... 😄 )
There is around 130 steps up the hill to reach the house, and also stairs inside the house, so it is not recommended for walking-impaired people nor very small children, unless you can carry them..
Don't forget to take a walk on the paths around the island, you will pass the most beautiful views....remember to bring drinking water...
There is no wi-fi in the house, but at the restaurants you can find (more or less useful) wi-fi signals.
Thank you Ivan and Anna for being helpful and always answering our questions...we had a lovely time "charging our batteries" in your nice little spot...
