About this property

Dog Friendly Country Lodge

Set in rural Devon, amoungst rolling hills and working farms. Our comfortable timber clad lodge sleeps four, with a double and a twin room.
Enclosed in it's own courtyard/garden, with offroad parking. In the rear garden there is a hot tub, garden dinning table & chairs. Also a metal shed storing bins and recycling boxes, as well as the BBQ. There is enough spare space in there for a couple of pushbikes too.
Easily accessed from the A30 and the M5 is only ten minutes away, but far enough away for the peace and quiet of rural life.
The local village of Cheriton Bishop has a pub, a doctors surgery, a well stocked village store, post office and off licence.

On arrival you will find waiting for you a tempting Devon Cream Tea

Awesome short break for, Xmas had a tree in lounge a hot tub in garden all ya need for short stay great hosts, nice touches scones and wine definitely recommend ,and dog friendly .

Lovely spot in the countryside

A comfortable stay for a few nights in the countryside. The property is on one level with a secured outdoor space which is great for toddlers. Our host was incredibly responsive to my queries prior to arrival. The kitchen is well equipped. The property is right on a public footpath and the view across the fields is stunning!too cloudy for stars this time!

Hidden little gem

Amazing 10 nights away in the cottage. Equipped with everything we needed and more. Beautiful cream tea waiting for us on arrival. Quiet and peaceful location with the added bonus of the hot tub. We will be back.

The property is situated in the countryside, some miles from any tourist attractions. The property had everything needed to self cater. The host was very accommodating and great communication.

Lovely lodge with an added bonus of the hot tub great for a family of 4 and a dog. Not far from Exeter, we visited the local pub that has just reopened, Newton Abbot races and the Eden project

A cracking weekend away with a great secluded hot tub, lovely to be away from the real world for a few days. Local put all was fab too. Can’t wait to return!

Nice cottage - good value for money

Stayed for three nights November 2024. Cottage was comfortable with everything you need for a short break. Cottage is a little tired, but was perfectly comfortably for our stay. Hosts were quick to respond. Hot tub was excellent - very clean. There were no household products so if you stay here bring toilet roles and fairy liquid!

South Pitton dog friendly lodge

We had a lovely relaxing stay. Rachel was great and took on board our suggestion about the patio as the gravel hurt our dog's feet. Looking forward to seeing the improvement when we return. Hot tub was perfect overall a wonderful time away.

Cosy cottage

Lovely stay over new year, very warm and cosy place. We managed to cook various meals with the facilities/utensils in the kitchen. Very clean hot tub. Ideal location for avoiding fireworks, perfect for our nervous dogs on NYE.

Very Relaxing Week

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage, shame the Jacuzzi wasn't fully operational (not owners fault), but still enjoyed it none the less, lovelt to relax in after a days walking and eating! Comfy Beds, Plenty of HOT water, Great walking locally, Nice Pub meals. Thanks very much.

Amazing

We've been there in March, and had an amazing time. The cottage is absolutely wonderful. Made us feel like home from the first moment we've entered it. It was clean and warm. Something about that place, made us feel welcomed. We had a lovely surprise to be welcomed with scones, cream and jam, which we truly thank for, to the host. The hot tub was amazing. Overall, a place we would recommend to anyone, and we've already booked the next holiday there 😁
