To the south is the Forest of Bowland, to the east is Lancaster and the coast with beautiful estuaries extending north and south from there. The Lake District is just north of us. Nice accommodation on fantastic grounds
The property is situated within a wonderful garden in a rural location. Local towns and attractions are easily accessible by car. The accommodation is comfortably kitted out, and provides an idilc setting for recharging relaxation
A little paradise in the Yorkshire dales
This is a lovely location, very pleasant and relaxing, a real sanctuary from the noise and stress of everyday life. The accommodation provided all we needed, good cooking facilities, comfortable lounge with TV and comfortable beds. Every window provided a view of their garden and their surrounding farm land. The garden is worthy of a place in the Chelsea Flower Show, and has a wide range of visiting garden birds and some resident water fowl. It was lovely to see the moorhen and her chicks crossing the lawn in search of food. We only met the owners briefly but they were very pleasant and welcoming. We only wish we had stayed for longer, and would certainly recommend this place to anyone who likes the countryside and nature to be enjoyed from a clean and cosy dwelling.
Beautiful property Gorgeous Garden
This property was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The gardens are beautifully kept and the owners pleasant and friendly without being intrusive.
Wonderful location, stunning cottage!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the cottage and it’s surroundings didn’t fail to disappoint.
The location was perfect for days out to Howgill Fells, Pen-Y-Ghent, Kirkby Lonsdale and all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.
Beautiful cottage with a secure bike sheds for ALL our bikes!!
I run and my husband cycles and we found some lovely routes to visit whilst we were staying.
Clive was always on hand to help with anything although the literature in the cottage was very helpful with regards to days out, etc.
My two boys really enjoyed getting back into jigsaws that were in the play room, a really nice alternative to their devices 😃
Accommodation ideally situated and very comfortable. Garden and surrounding country side beautiful, loved the lambs. So many places to visit within 1hrs drive, around the Bay and the Lakes. Weather very warm all week, One of the best UK holidays we have had. Loved every minute!!
Just what the doctor ordered
Beautiful cottage set in amazing landscaped gardens with ponds an added bonus.
Our hosts Doctor Clive Storey and his wife Lucy have gone out of their way to ensure anyone who stays has the best possible holiday. Warm comfortable cottage with everything in it right down to shampoos, hand creams and soaps in the shower room and herbs, spices, sugar tea and coffee, & cleansing items in the kitchen.
A lovely touch was the welcome tray with teapot, cups and a pint of milk in the fridge plus a tin with Lucy’s home made scones, butter and jam on arrival.
The gardens are a joy to behold and mostly achieved by the hard work of the owners. Definitely one of the best cottages we have stayed in and our doggie companions were also made very welcome.
Certainly one to return to.
