This was a very well equipped cottage that was a short drive to Stratford city center. Convenient to a large grocery, nice pub, and all of the attractions of the area. The location was quiet and perfectly suited to our needs. Would stay again.
Property very clean and well presented, some lovely extras like milk orange jui e chocolate cake and other essential items.location was very goid.We would recommend to anyone and come back again
This was our second time visiting this property and it is still brilliant. Lovely, cozy, and peaceful area inside and outside.
Needless to say, we will happily book again, and again!

Thank you so much for the review Jonathan. You were the perfect guests.
We loved our stay at Welford Cottage. As soon as we walked in the door we felt at home. It was cozy, warm and inviting. Their neighbours were wonderful and the chocolate cake was delicious!
Thank you so much-we will definitely be back and recommend Welford Cottage.
Lovely cottage… nice kitchen and garden. There was no vacuum; fire stick for using Netflix on tv did not work. Lost power one day from 6:30 am until 5:30 pm due to rain… not the fault owner.
Beautiful stay.
I was looking for a quiet place to write/work. The property, although it is in a row of houses and has a communal back garden, was very peaceful indeed - I barely heard anyone else. and the garden is huge and lovely! The house is exceptionally clean, well equipped and attractive. The owner is very helpful, responding to any queries very quickly. It's well situated for the town of Stratford upon Avon, about ten minutes drive, and I would highly recommend it to any visitors.

Thank you so much for your kind words. So glad you enjoyed your stay. All the best, Sarah
I must say that we were expecting full laundry capabilities so packed light for our month stay. But with no clothes dryer we were caught off guard with minimal clothes which yes, we washed. But the clothes were always wet, hanging to dry in cool damp weather. Other cottages nearby had dryers so I would say there easily could have been in Welford Cottage too

I’m sorry you were expecting a dryer. We really don't have space for a dryer in the property and as such it’s not on the listing.

Spiders and dust
This property was a disappontment because it was full of spiders, webs and dust. All the blind, curtains and windows were also quite dirty. Overall it would have been nice if it had just been clean. Despite claiming there is a dryer - there is not - the laundry racks are next to the garbage bins for the complex (not nice) and there is not really much room to put the drying rack near a heater to allow anything to dry (if it's raining outside). On our final day the maintenance team was on our roof at 8am cleaning the gutters etc... for over 4 hrs. When I complained to owner she offered to let us stay and extra night or a late check out, neither of which worked with our plans and then she reluctantly refunded us 30 pds - this number really made no sense to me. Hopefully the owner will work on making it cleaner for the next guests.

Despite getting an exceptionally good deal (less than £100 per night for 3 guests) in peak season this guest wanted us to refund them a night.
They only mentioned the cobwebs on their last day when we couldn’t do anything about it. The cottage was cleaned thoroughly before arrival. It is in the countryside so little spiders are inevitable at this time of year.
We do not have a drier and as such do not advertise one in the listing.
We were not made aware that the gardeners were working on the ivy until after they had finished or else I would have asked them to stop.
The guest was most unpleasant to deal with, left lots of marks all up the walls where they dragged their bags.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage is very inviting and characterful. Warm, cosy. Easy to find. Bus stop into Stratford etc is at the entrance.
We loved the chocolate cake, plus orange juice, tea, coffee, milk. There’s also a coffee maker with pods.
The garden was full of wildlife, with birds, rabbits, frogs and squirrels. Just delightful.
If you are bringing children there is plenty of lovely lawn space for raquet games.etc. There’s a lovely patio too with table and chairs for sitting out.
Waitrose isn’t far away by car and was wonderful for supplies. The cottage is about ten minutes from Stratford by car.
We came for the theatre and we were so happy that we chose this lovely place to stay. So so peaceful at night. The bedrooms have skylight windows with blinds that firmly keep the light out- so important! Lovely comfortable beds, soft pillows, quality bed linen.
Shower and bath were great, with lots of hot water. Body wash and shampoo are provided and liquid soap.
Stairs go around and up and have banisters both sides and aren’t too steep. The downstairs loo is a bonus.
The TV is easy to operate and has Netflix and Prime, etc, YouTube too- I did yoga. Plenty of room for a yoga mat in front of the TV!
The furniture is two high backed comfortable chairs and a lovely soft sofa, blankets/ cushions provided.
Parking- easy and safe with an allocated spot available.
Easy to find, the location is good for exploring the Cotswolds as well as Stratford.
Nice bijoux cottage with very comfortable beds in a quiet location. Good for visiting places/ towns of interest especially National Trust properties. Close to high end supermarket, garden centre and farm shops along with some interesting antique / emporium places - great on a rainy day. Stratford walkway nearby with railway carriage cafes at each end. Good pubs in the attractive Welford village nearby.
We had a lovely week in Welford Cottage. Everything we expected and more. Lovely welcome goodies including a bottle of wine, bar of chocolate and snacks. Also essentials like a bottle of milk, tea and coffee etc. Although in the middle of a small terrace of cottages it was peaceful and cosy. The property has all your would need with a will equipped kitchen, cosy open plan living areas and good sized comfortable bedrooms. The large communal garden was a delight to look out onto watching the wildlife. Plenty of parking with a dedicated space and ample visitor spaces if you have more than 1 car. Close to Stratford-upon-Avon and plenty of places to visit in the area. Supermarket 5 minutes away which proved essential when you run out of milk or wine in the evening. Handy having reliable WiFi and a good selection of evening viewing if that's your thing, Freeview, Netflix and Primer Video so never short of things to watch if you want a cosy evening in. Although we usually rent a property in France each year, this year being a little bit different we wouldn't hesitate to return in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Many thanks to Sarah
We had a lovely 4 night stay, cottage was lovely and had everything you needed and was ideal for our family vacation. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
